Found a vintage TV for 5 dollars at an estate sale
It’s a 1977 zenith! I was thinking about putting modern tech inside it or using it as a craft to make a decor piece. But if it’s rare, I’m not sure if I want to do that. I couldn’t find the exact model online, but i figured I’d post here and see if anyone thinks I should refurbish it instead. Anyway it was an absolute steal! Still can’t believe I got it for 5 bucks.

Great Deal
I purchased this antique medicine cabinet on Facebook Marketplace today. The seller only wanted $10 for it and now it holds my handheld consoles.

My "new" 1976 Coors Igloo cooler
I picked this up for a few bucks at a local estate sale. It'll still keep the beer cold!

Picked up this gorgeous brooch last weekend. Looking for creative ways to use it!
The only one I can think of is using it to secure a neck scarf. Also thought about turning it into a pendant, but it feels a bit big for that. Open to any suggestions :)

1927 Telechron “Salisbury” model electric clock that I’ve recently got running again after a bit of TLC
I got this little fella off of FB marketplace for 25 bucks and immediately started to take it apart to see if it could be repaired as it didn’t run and it looked to be in ok shape as it seams that the knobs were lost and the little knob to reset the power loss indicator was broken from being handled by a kid.
The “rotor” was sized so I endured on my first Telechron rotor revival with great success! (Kinda… I had to file off the JB weld and change oil in it again)
I’m super happy that I was able to get my hands dirty doing a small little bench top project again and learn a few skills to hopefully repair my other Telechron clocks that I have in my collection!

Vintage 1950s,1960s sweeper
Went to what we thought was a yard sale. Clearly too late at 2:20pm. We think it was an indoor estate auction as they had stuff set aside with lot # of bought items that were def all vintage and everything else was gone but a FREE pile. Snagged this baby up. I haven't seen one of these since i was a kid (im 45) Looked it up and said it was a 1950-1960s item. Used it on my black throw rug (bane of my exsistance w my Sheppard lab mix). I was so impressed with the job it did, and also was able to get up cat litter that my electric vacuum barely sucks up..Hubby was like wow, that's a good find! So figured I'd share w others who love vintage items.

Grandma’s old Blaupunkt riviera radio
After my grandma passed away at 95, we’ve been going through some of her old belongings and found this beautiful vintage Blaupunkt Riviera radio.
It seems to be from the late 1950s and honestly, I just love the design. The wooden case, the old station names across Europe and those chunky buttons feel like a little time capsule.
I have no idea when it was last turned on, so I’m definitely not plugging it in before having it checked.

I was admiring my lamps tonight and thought I’d share. 1950’s, Australian.
Both are Wembley Ware which operated from 1946-1961 in Subiaco near Perth. The owl is a table lamp with an internal bulb to light up the glass eyes. The fish is a Dhufish TV lamp, inspired by the lamps coming out of California by makers like Kron. I collect Wembley Ware, not lamps but I really like these. They’re a bit quirky and they’re pleasant to look at.

Carved Walnut Ocean Wave Box - Big Sur Crafts
This is not really a discernible style but I acquired it in a thrift shop for I think 25 cents in the early 1990's and given that it is from a very high end art gallery/crafts shop in Big Sur along the Pacific Coast Highway I suspect it is from the 1970's when it would have fit in well with the aesthete of ferns and macrame
Unfortunately there is a small chip but I just keep that in the back and so it doesn't really impact my enjoyment of it. Although I imagine the original affluent purchasers donated it because of the chip.
There is the maker's mark on the bottom along with a paper tag indicating it was sold by the Coast Gallery in Big Sur which has been defunct for at least a decade.

Sheaffer PFM IV and it's smaller companion the Imperial IV from the 1960s. Some of the best looking pens of all time, representing the peak of innovation for fountain pens. Both use the Sheaffer touchdown filling system, with the PFM having the snorkel to keep the nib clean when filling.

Look at these cuties!
My boyfriend had these cute little jars in his kitchen. I assume there’s spice jars but I don’t know what kind of spices you would put in jars that have fruit all over them, especially if they don’t have labels. Can’t find em reverse searching.

Vintage Lladro Puppies
I collect vintage ceramics to decorate my plant shelves with, or to use as planters or cachepots. Our local St Vinny is great for my collection. I usually look for vintage cat ceramics but I picked this vintage Lladro pup sculpture. It has joined my plant shelf!
Here's some of my other vintage ceramic thrift finds from the summer (and plants!)

Mid-C Alvin Southern Charm Silver Flatware
My wife and I started an auction house this year and I thought I would share this set of Sterling Flatware that came in from an estate. The sellers said it was their mother's and that she bought the set in the 1950s, then they apologized because it was plated silver. They were excited when I told them that it was Sterling Silver. From a more well-designed time, for sure.

Vintage thrift find for my new apartment
So I love thrifting, especially older looking items like this one. But I have no idea where, when and what it’s from. I can’t seem to find anything online cause I’m terrible at research. If anyone has any knowledge on this piece at ALL for example- where it could be from, when it was made or the material 🙏 any help is appreciated greatly. So sorry if this breaks any of the rules but I’m at a loss.

Photo portfolio binder from 1938
I got this from a photography rummage sale. Just thought it was cool. I wish there were some old photos attached to it. It seems a bit erotic for that time period.
