Extremly hard to find a job
What happened to this city?
I’ve been away for almost four years traveling for work as an electrician. When I left, the city had a strong job market everyone was hiring and things were going well. Now, it feels completely dead.
I came back hoping to find a job outside of electrical work, but nobody seems to be hiring. I’ve even applied to over 12 different McDonald’s locations and was turned down by all of them lol

New Speed Cameras: A39, A40
That makes 40 Albuquerque cameras, and 20 Bernalillo County cameras.
A39: Westbound Central between Wyoming and Louisiana
A40: Northbound Wyoming between Central & Lomas
I also added more streets and labels. I tested out Waze on a couple of camera locations and it did not give me very much warning. If I was speeding I don't think I would have had time to slow down.

Question should i be worried about roaches?
i recently moved to abq about a month ago from near santa fe and have been terrified of roaches as they weren't something i encountered before. in the last month i have been keeping my apartment clean and only seen dead roaches outside as they buy spray every week.
however in roughly the last week my partner and i have seen 4 bugs that are almost definitely some kind of roach nymph. two were in the tub/bathroom sink and found already dead. the other two were in the kitchen sink and on the floor of the bathroom and we found alive. I freaked out and have sprayed on our patio, in the bathroom, kitchen, and most of inside perimeter with home defense and put out two 'roach motels'. im waiting for advion to come. I know, maybe a bit excessive but I don't want to take any chances.
i have heard that they are just a part of life in Albuquerque and other big cities. i have also heard of many infestations and about how hard German roaches are to remove. honestly, how scared should I be?

Applying for jobs
Nobody wants to hire anyone anymore. My mom moved here a week ago, and has already applied for 50+ jobs. She’s had a handful of interviews, and they either don’t get back to her or they move on to the next person. With years of experience, you would think something would stick, but it’s just a road to no where. I’m scared for her. Sorry if this isn’t a normal post in this thread, it’s just really discouraging. I don’t understand how it’s so impossible to get a job nowadays.

Question Beginner boxing classes?
anyone know of a good option? Id kind of prefer it to be a class within a gym if possible. Dont rly feel like I need to train as a beginner with these professional ppl and feel like it would be a bit cheaper. Anyways, open to any suggestions still.

Question Interest Question-- Greek Food
For ABQ long-timers, foodies, and ABQ-born: do you think there is interest in Albuquerque for Greek-focused/ Mediterranean food places that are not boutique and over priced? Just regular, mom n' pop style, comfort food or even meal prep. I moved from a diverse place and I'm genuinely curious as to whether you think ABQ would support something like that. Many thanks!

Whole home water softening system recommendations?
Hi everyone! We had a company come out yesterday (Universal Water Systems) and we are interested in getting a whole home filter to help with hard water. They quoted us $6500 for the basic option or about $160/mo. Does anyone have any recommendations for companies to check out? TYIA!

Fresh Focaccia
Hello!
Are there any bakeries that make focaccia and are open during the week?
I have had some great homemade focaccia from microbakeries at pop-up markets, but I am hoping to buy something today or tomorrow.
Thanks!
