Question Nice restaurant after Eloping?

Hey folks! My Partner and I will be eloping this week with a small group of family, and we wanted to go out to an actually nice restaurant afterwards. What are good places in the area? We want nice, but not like "fine dining for 1000 dollars" nice. I'm also a vegetarian, so bonus points if you know of cool spot with vegetarian dishes. Thank you ! <3

Heading to the Sailboat Show in October...do I need to make appointments?

My husband and I are heading to Annapolis for the sailboat show in October. I'm curious if I need to make appointments to see boats on preview day? If I don't have to hand out my contact info to every broker and manufacturer, that would be great. But we really are in the market and want to get some good info. We are aiming to do the show Thursday and Friday and skip the weekend crowds. Thoughts?

Where to donate craft supplies in and around Annapolis?

I’m moving and looking to get rid of a small box of (mostly new) craft supplies! Do any craft stores or art schools in the area take donations? I know there are a few options in Baltimore, but I don’t really want to drive all the way out there lol. Thanks!

EDIT: Thanks so much for the great recommendations! Craft supplies builds up and it's easy to just toss—I hope other people in the area consider these options when cleaning out their troves.

Question Where to donate a tray of cooked food?

Looking for somewhere to donate a tray of really yummy, caterer-prepared italian sausage and peppers that was leftover from an event last night. I ordered too much and even if I ate for a week I wouldnt finish it all and I would really hate for it to go to waste.

I know that homeless shelters usually cannot accept cooked food due to food safety regulations but wondering if anyone knows of any options in the area?

Best Annapolis Dating Reddit?

Is there any go to subreddit for Annapolis connections/ dating feelers? I see some dmv ones that look pretty scammy. What are the dating prospects in this area for a 38M 6ft4, fit, well-off white guy who is new to town and kink friendly?

Police taking man jail in a wheelchair

Husband and I were at the light coming off westbound 50 that's across from the hospital emergency room. Two AACo police cruisers were "escorting" an officer pushing a semi naked (he did have a sheet on his lap) overweight man erratically waving his arms across Jennifer Rd and up the road to the county jail. Never seen this before.

Annapolis Yacht Club buys major Annapolis marina

AYC is in the process of purchasing the entire annapolis city Marina - turning it into YET ANOTHER members only area? It is so heart breaking. We are losing so much of the character of Eastport and Annapolis. How much space do these people need?

Crossing guard

To the female crossing guard on Forest Drive, I've never seen someone execute a job so perfectly you could tell that she really truly cares about the community and children in it. Her situational awareness is amazing and the communication that she has with her partner on the other side of the road is hard to find nowadays I hope this post gets back to her! I'm sure they don't get anywhere near the amount of recognition that they should for what they do, to the blonde crossing guard with a ponytail on Forest Drive, thank you for keeping our kids and our community safe, with a smile!

THC/ Delta Drinks

I am trying to stop smoking and have the easiest time finding drinks and gummies in the south, but apparently not in Maryland.

Do you all have any suggestions on where to get gummies stronger than 10mg and possibly THC drinks in the area?

I just went to TX and they had the best Delta 9 drinks at the normal liquor store but I haven’t seen any around here.

TIA!!!!

10/1 Private Landlord anyone

🏡 LOOKING FOR OUR FOREVER HOME — OCTOBER 1ST 🏡

💰 BUDGET: UNDER $2,300/MONTH

📅 MOVE-IN DATE: OCTOBER 1, 2026

🤝 PRIVATE LANDLORD PREFERRED

🛏️ 2 BEDROOMS

🐈 CATS ALLOWED

📍 ANNAPOLIS, ARNOLD, CROWNSVILLE OR GAMBILLS

Hi everyone! My family and I are looking for a 2-bedroom home or apartment for an October 1st move-in. We are especially hoping to find a private landlord who is willing to work with us and give our family the opportunity for a brand-new start.

Our first choice is to remain in Annapolis because our 9-year-old daughter attends Germantown Elementary School. She is on the autism spectrum and has an IEP, along with several therapists and programs that she has grown up with and is thriving in. Keeping her in her school, community, and established support system is extremely important to our family.

Because of that, Annapolis would be our ideal location, but we are also open to Arnold, Crownsville, and Gambrills if we can find the right home.

We are a hardworking family with a combined annual income of approximately $100,000. We have been at our current apartment complex for 15 years, which is a big part of why we are hoping to find someone who will take the time to understand our situation rather than simply look at a credit score.

We want to be completely honest and upfront: our credit isn't perfect. We have had some financial difficulties over the years, but we have worked hard to get to a better place. We have no criminal background and no evictions, and we can provide recommendation letters and rental references to help explain our rental history and show that we have maintained a long-term home.

We aren't looking for anything extravagant. We are simply looking for a safe, stable place where our family can settle down and hopefully stay for many years to come.

Most importantly, we are looking for a landlord who is willing to look at the whole picture and give us a chance. We are hardworking, steady-income people who are ready for a fresh start and a place we can truly call home.

If you are a private landlord, know of a rental, or know someone who may be willing to work with a family in our situation, please message me. We would be incredibly grateful for any leads, recommendations, or shares. ❤️

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for helping us find our next home. 🏡❤️

Did someone say there is or is not a measles outbreak at the Amish market? What was that post? There were too many deleted comments to understand what happened.

Looking for a PCP

Hi all! I’m a 28 year old woman and looking for a PCP as I’m moving to the area. I have hypermobility, so someone who is understanding of that would be a bonus. I love NPs and integrative medicine as well. I have blue cross. Thanks all!
