Bengals Re-Signed QB Josh Johnson To Practice Squad
r/bengals • u/chrisball96 • 11h ago
Yes it is the preseason - but Landon Robinson finished as the highest graded Bengal in pass rush grade according to PFF
I do understand that it is preseason and the stats are not very predictive but I put this together only because it is great to see a seventh round guy be so impactful and make the most of the opportunity he’s been given.

Misleading Something odd going on
I’m getting a bunch of clips on social media all of a sudden saying they have tickets they can’t use and to text them if you’re interested. Most have a 302 area code, which is Delaware. The videos are hashtagged for everything under the sun Bengals related. Just putting this out there so people don’t get scammed. I’ve seen different ones on Facebook Reels and TikTok. This is the first time I’ve seen a scam like this.

Fact This is a great story: Bengals WR Dohnte Meyers, who was delivering DoorDash orders until 2 or 3 in the morning and waking up just hours later to train because he refused to give up on his NFL dream, has now made the Bengals final 53-man roster.
“All night I would delivery drive, until like 2 or 3 in the morning. Then go wake up and train again at 8 or 9. I structured my whole life around pursuing a dream.”
Meyers wasn't a highly recruited prospect waiting for his opportunity.
He was a zero-star recruit who eventually played Division II football at Delta State. After going undrafted, there was no NFL contract waiting for him.
So Meyers drove Uber and DoorDash at night to make ends meet while structuring his days around training and trying to keep his football career alive.
He paid his own money to attend professional tryouts before eventually getting his opportunity with the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Meyers turned that opportunity into a breakout 2025 season, catching 65 passes for 1,056 yards and eight touchdowns, earning CFL All-Star honors and helping Saskatchewan win the Grey Cup.
Even getting an opportunity with Joe Burrow required another sacrifice.
When Burrow asked Meyers if he could meet him in Cincinnati for a throwing session the following morning, Meyers was in Atlanta. His response? "I can be.”
Meyers got in his car and drove overnight from Atlanta to Cincinnati so he could be there to catch passes from Burrow the next day.
“That’s the kind of guy he is,” Burrow said.
Meyers then became one of the breakout performers of Bengals training camp, earning first-team opportunities and continuing to impress throughout the preseason.
And now he's done it.
From delivering DoorDash until 3 a.m. just to fund his NFL dream, to CFL open tryouts, to becoming a CFL All-Star, to driving through the night for an opportunity with Joe Burrow...
Dohnte Meyers is officially an NFL player.

Fandom Any interest in a free Bengals fantasy league?
Hello bengo fans. I am looking for Bengal fans to fill up this 12 team redraft league I started on Sleeper. I want to run a competitive and active league filled with like minded bengals fans. It’s a free league so no payout or anything but something fun to do throughout the season. It’s set up as vanilla ppr scoring right now but I’m open to suggestions! HMU if you’re interested. Who Dey!

Does anyone have digitized full games from 2008 and earlier?
I have been working on a project for a long while and have found quite a few games from youtube and other places, but there are still gaps. Oddly 2000-2008 seem to have more missing games than 1990-1999. Just curious if anyone has personal collections that are not available online.

Misleading Dear new WRs. There’s a secret way to become a fan favorite for WR3. If it’s not too late.
As the title says. You receivers from outside of Cincinnati might not realize this, but taking number 3 would all but lock up fan vote for the WR3 option.
It’s right there in our area code. 5-1-3
To my knowledge no receiver has taken #3 for the bengals ever, but if you did this, it would complete the 513 Higgins-Chase-WR3 receiver room. Imagine the support from fans and the marketing department for you to get more reps and eventually the WR3 job.
Yes, fans are this loyal that they would boast your abilities and blindly ignore your flaws.
