need advice How do you guys wash bras without the hooks catching on everything? Spoiler

My bra hooks keep catching on other clothes in the laundry, especially knits and anything delicate. Sometimes the hooks themselves also end up getting bent or damaged.

Do you guys fasten the hooks first, use a laundry bag, or just wash bras separately?

RANT - advice welcome I can't find just plain simple bras! Spoiler

I swear, I can't find just plain bras in beige/brown/black! Everything feels like it has lace, charms/bows, bright colors or patterns, if not a combination of all of the above. Everything I can manage to find in my size (38HH UK, which I think is a US 38L) that's actually just plain are molded cups (or those spacer bras which are just fancy molded cups) which just don't work for my shape. I usually end up cutting off the bows and charms if they have any but I can't do anything about lace or color. I don't think I should have to spend time altering something I pay so much money for in the first place though. Argh!! I just want plain bras! Ones that are simple and comfortable and don't show through my clothes. How do you all manage? I'm so tired of being itchy and worried about my bra being visible.

need advice What am I supposed to wear to a rave? Spoiler

I’m going to my first rave soon and genuinely have no idea what I’m supposed to wear.

Everything looks so cute on other people, but with a bigger chest I feel like half the outfits either wouldn’t fit properly, need constant adjusting, or make me worry I’m going to accidentally flash everyone the second I start dancing 😂

What do you girls usually wear to raves? Especially looking for something cute/sexy but actually supportive and comfortable enough to dance in all evening/night.

Would love to hear what’s worked for you! 💕

need advice Recent(ish) Boob Changes Spoiler

Upvotes

I am 30 and have had a large chest since my early 20s (natural breast growth). I got bra sized last week and am a 38D which isn’t like the largest. I went to the gym for the first time in awhile and I wore a sport bra that I have worn before, and when I went on the treadmill, it hurt my boobs and I had to hold them the whole time. I’ve thought that my boobs are getting bigger or maybe sagging, but I haven’t had this happen before. I’m really confused about why this would happen all of a sudden and I am wondering if I can even run anymore because of my boobs :( Any tips or information would be greatly appreciated.

bras Question about spouse Spoiler

I am male and feel like a weirdo posting this. Serious question

I want to buy my wife a nice bra so I looked at the label of one of her bras in laundry. 34DDDD. 4 D’s. She is 5’3” 125- 130 lbs. I went to several stores and clerks told me there is not a bra that size. Would a 34F be close?

Thanking all in advance.

need advice Building Self-Esteem

I constantly feel embarrassed because Ive been shamed my whole life. Im not sure it was always on purpose, but because of their size Im always objectified. (34I)

No one in my family can relate so I really do stand out. I was adopted.

What are some ways that you've overcome, or how do you respond to shaming or objectification? Id like to be able to wear an outfit without allowing the comments to bother me. There are always comments, people just cant help themselves, so how do I find esteem in all of this?

RANT - no advice wanted I hate when people list the wrong bra sizes for celebrities Spoiler

I like using famous people's styling as inspiration. Particularly, I look to celebrities with large bust small band and a similar build to me. I am a 30H/28I. I recently looked for Kat Dennings measurements because I think she looks similar to me body wise. She's a bit shorter than me, but apart from that we really do look alike. Her bra size was listed as anywhere between 34DD and a 38E. This girl is CLEARLY not that big of a band. Id say shes at most a 32. Similar things have happened before when I looked them up.

I know people, especially online, get celebrity measurements wrong all the time, but it just pisses me off how obviously wrong they are. Especially about bra sizes. They list Dolly Parton (r.i.p) as a 40DD. She was clearly quite thin and again I would guess a 32 size band max and somewhere in the LMNOP's for her cup size. It just goes to show how little people know about bra sizes I guess.

need advice Workout influencer suggestions Spoiler

Hello. I’m in the process of working out to achieve my goal weight of 130. I’m currently 150 and I have 36DDD (F) boobs. Does anybody know any TikTok gym influencers or YouTube videos I can watch to know which bras to wear to the gym? I would even like to recreate some of their workouts. I’d type my weight in TikTok and get discouraged because everyone who’s 150 is flat chested so I can’t see how working out has changed their boob size. Any suggestions?

RANT - advice welcome Having No friends with Large Boobs

Ok, this may sound a bit strange, but I kinda wish my friends could experience having my boobs for a day. I am a 32L in US sizing, and I'm cleared for a breast reduction, and I am finally comfortable and ready to tell my close friends that I FINALLY am getting one this year! Overall, they have been so supportive because they are lovely people, but I always get "Did you try working out?" or "Can you just get bigger bras?" (Thinking they can hold the bozongazongs up more? idk?) or comments in that general arena. They are not trying to be mean, but damn. I just wish they could understand the actual weight and pain that come with it, but at the same time I really don't want them in pain at all. It just sucks. Mine are just so large; being an athlete and having athletic friends, it's hard because I feel like the odd one out. Ya, that's my rant. I hope women in the same position know that I see you, darling! Thanks

need advice Seamed bras and nip covers…my headlights are “off” but the seams are way too visible Spoiler

Until recently I’ve been too big to fit into molded tshirt bras, so I typically buy the 3-part seamed bras. However, my headlights are always on I hate it so much! I started using nippies covers everyday which does make me feel less self conscious, but the minute I put them on, the seams along the cup are super visible, even if I wear a tank/camisole under my shirt. I’d rather the seams than hard nips, but like…can’t I just have normal smooth looking breasts? Is that too much to ask for?

I recently lost weight so I’m now 34H I think? I’ve tried a few non-seamed bras from Chantelle which are ok, except they make my boobs look so low on my body, and the tshirt bra is just meh. When I was bigger I had Elomi bras but the underwire is so wide it ends so far away from my actual boob it’s uncomfortable.

If anyone has suggestions for either a good tshirt bra that’s not too wide or a solution for seams showing once you add nip covers to the mix, please let me know!

experience update on Halloween bodysuit costume Spoiler

Post image
17 Upvotes

I didn’t expect me and my bfs costume to come that quickly but I’m not complaining

I mentioned before that the sizes for the costumes didn’t work too well with me since if I go a size up, so does the height too, so I’d have to sacrifice either my height or bust and hips size.

I chose a XL instead to be safe than sorry - and even with an XL, the bust area is alright, it kind of acts like a push up bra and the zipper is like 98 % zipped up, I can definitely do something about that though. The waist area is a lil loose but also fixable. The hips are perfect fit as well!! The height for this XL costume was 5’6 to 5’8 , so I’ll also have to hem it to my size.

Anyway I learned to just rather go first with your measurements rather than the height.

Thank you for reading and have a lovely day 🩷🫶🏽

need advice What do you guys wear when going to countries where modesty is expected? Spoiler

Im going to Japan in November and I freaked out because my cousin told me I have to change my clothing because of my, and I quote, “enormous boobs.” She is very familiar with Japan and its culture. For reference my body type is hourglass, and I’m small band large cup. I have fall/winter clothes that have good coverage, but almost everything is form fitting because I don’t look good with oversized or boxy things. My cousin said even though I’d technically be covered that it’s still not considered modest because you “can see the shape of my body.” She says I will be uncomfortable and get dirty looks if I go with my regular clothes. Anybody have any recommendations for something that will hide my shape more I guess? It sounds ridiculous but honestly I prefer just following her advice it’s just already so hard to shop and now I have to work against my style 🫠

bras Glamorise Spoiler

Does anyone else have a bra from glamorise?

I sized up on their site and got a weird size back. I’m fitting in a 36F and it came back with a 36DD as the sizing with a measuring tape.

Thought I would ask if anyone’s experience with the bra and sizing on here before ordering.

experience I started wearing shapewear tank tops instead bras and I've never been more comfortable Spoiler

This definitely won't work for everyone, but personally I'm comfortable with just a little lift and support.

I hate bras, yes I've measured and purchased using abrathatfits, accommodated for my breast shape, etc. Bras are not comfortable for me and they are also crazy expensive in my size (34J). I hate not wearing ANY type of support though- they're just too large and they annoy me lol.

I have two real bras that I can wear if needed, but I haven't yet since I started wearing shapewear tanks, even to a wedding I just wore a shape tank under the dress. They're comfortable, give me some lift and support, and a little bit of compression. For literally my whole life I've struggled to find a solution to hating bras but also hating how I feel without one, and this has been a great balance for me.

Sharing for any other anti-bra girlies. YMMV

Editing to add I am in NO WAY affiliated with shapermint. I literally bought a tank top from them on a whim because the reviews were decent and they weren't expensive. I'm sure any other shapewear brand would work just as well or better. I'm not specifically gassing them up, which is why I didn't even mention them in the main post. You can search my username in this sub and see that I've been commenting for literal years and sharing my disdain for bras haha

need advice New Breast reduction + dismorphia Spoiler

I am 18, and just got a reduction from US 34 DDD/G range (don't come for me, I was wearing a 36 DD) down to C/D, but closer to D. I am having some body image issues (mostly related to the sexualization of my chest as a LITERAL MINOR and the resulting SA), so I don't feel as though I am a reliable narrator. Would y'all consider my new size to be large still? I'm not looking for any particular answer, I just want to know.

P.S. I thought that the comments about my boobs would dissapear. They have not.

edit: I should mention that I'm 5'1 and petite.

need advice Flattering Saree Draping Spoiler

Hi everyone! Needing some advice on how to drape a saree in a way that is flattering on big boobs.

I am going to be my friend's Maid of Honor at her wedding next weekend and will be wearing a saree, as this is a Hindu wedding. I've only worn a saree once before to my friend's sisters wedding, and felt the way my saree was draped made me look kind of wide and shapeless. For reference, I am a 32 HH and have a pretty extreme hourglass figure.

Any advice on how to drape to highlight my hourglass figure and not make me look shapeless and wide would be much appreciated! Thank you!

RANT - advice welcome Feel like I can’t breathe when I’m wearing a supportive bra Spoiler

I’ve always had a large chest size 38f but the past few months I’ve been on a medication that has gotten them swollen and heavy with fluid retention

If I wear a good, high support, comfortable bra, it’s like there’s two damn weights on my chest and I can’t breathe. Whether it’s wired or not. At first, I just thought it’s my big back self that can’t breathe, but it’s literally the bra. It’s not tight on the band or compresses them too much, it’s just the fact that they’re heavy especially when I lay down. It’s just a huge weight and I hate it

I know with any bra on everyone feels like you can’t breathe, that tight feeling, but that’s like the BRA not letting ur boobs breathe. This is different. Lmfao like there’s a huge difference in my breathing with and without my bra on, it’s crazy

I can’t get by without wearing a bra cause then it’s painful from them sagging. I have to wear a grandma cotton bra around the house just to get by, but I JUST HATE THIS.

A boob reduction is definitely in my future, everyone says to wait until after you have kids and I’m not even with someone rn so it’s gonna take FOREVVEERRRRR smh am I the only one?

need advice Good supportive sport bras ? Spoiler

Hey I’m usually a lurker most of the time but I recently have decided to start going on morning runs and I’ve run into an issue with my bra. My current best fitting bra is the lunar Matilda and Tierney from Elomi in a 32K. Im a 32JJ according to the ABTF calculator. Whenever I run I feel like my bra doesn’t support me enough and it distracts me when I try to work out. I need something supportive but I also need something with a J hook. Do you guys have any suggestions on what would be best as a sports bra or what would be a good solution to working out when busty.

I wish I could just make them stop existing when working out

experience My boobs started to grow like crazy after I stopped to do competitive sport. Spoiler

Hey

So Im a 23f and I did competitive sport (track and field) from 15 years old until I was 22. I stopped it 6 months ago and my boobs started to grow like crazy mf's right after. I was before 36C and now Im 36E and thats in 6 months. My mom is 38E so its not a big suprise but the speed of the growth is something that Im not so sure if its normal? Even other people notice it when they see me after a while "Girl your bust is getting huge.". 😭 So is this a normal thing or might something be wrong? I hope they stop at some point. I was expecting my belly to grow and not my boobs.
