Fallout Tactics! Bought this game when I was a child, and I lost the physical copy. IT was on sale for $2.99. Installed it, downloaded the install file. And going to make a physical copy of as many Fallout games as I can onto 1 Blueray disc. I'm a happy camper!

(Still haven't beaten the game)
Currently I have just grabbed the waterchip from underneath necropolis
86 Days left
I honestly went in expecting basic RPG elements with tactical combat. But I am honestly amazed with how much nuance or functionality there is to this game. Especially for a 90s game.
- Wearing a wire/tape to talk to someone to gain information.
- The random/trigger moments of an NPC just randomly punching someone or attempting to assassinate. Sure any game now a days can do that. But seeing it happen in a game like this is amazing.
- The examine/ponder everything and anything.
As someone who got into 90s point and click adventures a few years ago. This feels just like that but with combat and choice dialogue.
My one biggest gripe so far is not being able to drag the camera with the mouse. Never liked screen- edge camera panning.
Current build. Probably not good. but we thriving so far lmao. Bless Ian and Tycho for saving my ass multiple times

I'll just add that I did a bit of digging around before I decided to post on here. I went through the motions for Ben...Two Sun agreement, Casa Grande hostage negotiated free, Casa Grande mayor peacefully forms truce with highwaymen and tinsmiths. Gabbed with Rio about the bike with Empathy and top speech and INT.
All Ben gives me is a flamethrower and a jacket. I can fool Rio into giving me the key...steal the key, hack the bike...etc. I just can't get past my first stop out of Highwaymen (land) with the bike.
I checked F2 Explorer. It shows that I "bought"/"won" the bike. I even forced it to make the bike appear. Then, after saving and reloading, I can get on the bike right next to the exit grid in Highwaymen (land) and, like before, it flies along like I have the bike, but it doesn't show up at whatever destination I go to...and I'm back to walking about.
I have 1.15 E with Sfall...because doing it without tweaking the XP Table is just torture. lol
Any clues on what may be the issue? Thanks!

What now? Will somebody give me a reward for getting rid of the Radscorpions?

Ok, so I'm at Navarro, came in guns blazing, and want to get the motivator part in order the fix the robo-dog. I managed to clear some 3/4 of the ground part of the map and made it to the hangar, but I can't open the damn locker, where the part is supposed to be. The game even gives me the message "You retrieved the K-9 motivator" but nothing appears in my inventory.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? I couldn't find much on the internet, except this post describing the same issue...

I'm playing the English translation of the Nevada Mod. I appear to be locked out of the Thompson quest line, and I'd like to ask if anyone knows what actually triggers this.
I did the first quest for Thompson, then got stuck at the second quest where I investigate the attack on the propaganda team.So I did a lot more questing around in a bunch of other locations, then I found a walkthrough which told me to use Science on the lamp post.So I came back to New Reno to finish the quest, and Thompson called me a Political Prostitute and told me to get the hell out of his office.
I've done the first quest for Stryker andtalked him out of killing Patrick but that was before I even talked to Thompson.
The only other faction quests I've completed in New Reno since getting the Thompson investigation quest isdelivering the report from the spy for Lucianoand getting as far asdelivering the C4 for Mr Wright (though I gave Uranium City to the Union of Atomic Workers.'ve also killed Big Louie for Lovelock,if that's relevant.
How far back would I have to reload in order to continue the Thompson quest line?

I may be stupid, but I'm having trouble with this...
Everywhere says to use the bag button but it does nothing for me.
P.S. the highwayman map music is PHENOMENAL!!

You asked to try browser Fallout 2… here it is
A few days ago I posted a clip of Fallout 2 running in the browser and a bunch of people asked when they could try it.
Now you can — http://rerunreactor.com
Desktop is working really well at this point. It also has a save editor, 50 save slots, and 3 rotating autosaves that trigger when you leave an area.
Mobile is still a work in progress. Pinch-to-zoom and panning work, and the game is playable, but there are still some quirks around using skills on objects, inventory management, and barter.
No account, ads, purchases, donations or hosted game files — you provide the files from your own Fallout 2 install.
Would love feedback, especially bug reports or things that feel awkward.
The mods kindly okayed this follow-up post.

Hi all, I just completed Fallout 1 and I want to jump right into Fallout 2. Given that it's a harder game with more weapon choices, I wanted to get a solid idea of what I'm going to do in order to not get stuck later on. I was thinking of RPing as a thief/rogue character focussing on one-handed weapons (probably non-energy pistols) and stealthy gameplay. I want to solve problems mostly through stealth and sabotaging, and "skills" rather than combat. Can you give some feedback on this build idea?
ST 4
PE 7
EN 4
CH 2
IN 7
AG 8
LK 8
One Hander + Jinxed
Tags: Small Guns, Sneak, Lockpick
Rationale: High int and agi are obvious, I think I want to go for a crit build, thus the high luck. Jinxed sounds fun and fits well with high luck and a small team. I'm not feeling too eager to get Gifted, partially because it feels cheap, partially because I want a more skill-oriented character.
My doubts: maybe I need EN 5 to survive (thus PE 6 or LK 7), carry weight may be awkward with 1 (or 2?) companion(s) and low str, 4 strength is still too little for some pistols until I get power armor or use drugs. I wonder if a tag on sneak is wasted. Also I heared the early game is punishing and I have the impression this build could be bad with low-lvl weapons.
(EDIT: I forgot that the strength requirement can be easily circumvented with high Small Guns and One Hander helps too, maybe str 4 or even str 3 is fine for a pistol build)
Another possibility would be ditching Jinxed in favor of no second trait, or small framed, and redistributing some luck points.

Steam says 22 hours but I'd remove maybe 2 hours as this is my second attempt at a playthrough as my first time I gave up after a short while and struggled to pick up where I left off. I really enjoyed this game through the entire thing except at the end
I fought the Master 10 times and each time either he or one of his Mutant guards got a crit and one shot me so out of rage and wanting this to be done I dropped difficulty from normal to easy. I'll accept my crucifixion for not doing it legit. But other than the ending bit I really enjoyed this game I only wish some bits of info were clearer to me instead of having to google (maybe I'm just dumb)
Weird point being the ending slides said the Hub, Followers of the Apocalypse, Shady Sands, and Necropolis got wiped out by Mutants. Necropolis I saw got ruined but the other three were fine last I saw them before heading to fight the Master. Did I do something wrong? The ending slides also said the Khans became a scourge of the north before Mutants killed them even though I made sure to wipe them out very early into the game.
As someone that played Fallout 3 first and sunk over 1000 hours into Fallout 4. I loved this game

I'm going with this build just to enjoy the full glory of throwing as a main skill. I had to tag speech because the EPA is very speech reliant. I decided to go with no stealing and no reload if get addicted. Any additional recommendations?

Hi! I think I'm stuck. I made Elisa empress and joined the mutant hunters and I don't know what's next. I suppose I have to go to the mutant camp, but my speech is low and the dumb-dumb won't let me in and I can't take them all out for sure. I was looking for another way in but no luck. Only active quests I have are challenge uncle and help find cole. Any help? Thanks.

Maybe I should level up more and get either more SPECIAL upgrades or increase my criticals? i'm using yk42b pulse rifle as my main weapon with super sledge hammer to conserve ammo. I can practically get infinite money because of my gambling skill + luck and me holding down the buttons at the tables in new reno (ones that are more like fo1 i mean), and i have k9, vic in hardened t51b power armor, john cassidy in like mk2 combat armor or smth like that but left them at san fransico. Idk what to do but I feel underpowered still. EDIT: by oil rig i meant the ship not the enclave oil rig lol, sorry i had a brainfart.

Glad I gave this game a chance, it got me hooked from the very beginning till the very end, it made me genuinely care for the world and it's story something some of the later titles could not do (looking at you FO3) . The ending was super bitter sweet cuz even though the Master's dead and we see the birth of the NCR, I still got kicked out of the Vault by the Overseer. Definitely replaying this game with a high intelligence+energy weapon build next time, because even though my low intelligence+unarmed character was solid I have a feeling I missed out on some content due to my low intelligence. Also yeah I defeated the Master with a power glove lmao. Anyways Fallout 2 here I come
