I’m so fucking depressed.I played this game 3-5 years ago- life moves around too fast.Working is a headache- people around you wants so much- friends talk to much- girlfriend makes you mad.Politics are stupid- people are weird and I miss New Vegas so much. How can someone like me connects that deep with some game full of bugs that makes you mad -I wonder. Lets go to Prague- lets go to Vienne lets go to İstanbul or some shit- when I close my eyes I want to go play that stupid game nonstop.

I just want time to stop and give me 3 days- have some cigaretes and limitless tea- and let me wander around Novac with Jingle Jangle Jingle

So why don’t you? If you ask- I’m afraid I won’t feel the same feelings. No kidding- I’m too scared to play because when it happens it happens and I don’t want it to happen.

ive only played through the game once and it was amazing, im curious to know if the dlcs actually affect the gameplay in a significant enough way for them to be worth it to a casual player?

I recently got a new laptop and downloaded new vegas onto it. during gameplay i keep getting these lines of brightly coloured glitches that go up and down my screen causing stutters and general annoyance. its only new vegas that ive been getting this on and ive not had this problem before on my old laptop (which had worse specs) does anyone have a fix/experienced something similar?

I just entered the Strip and haven't had any issues so far, I've been playing for about 12 hours but I got into a firefight while wandering around Gomorrah and the game crashed for the first time.

I installed the 4GB patch but it didn't help; I tried a few mods as well but saw no benefit. What do you suggest I do to save the game guys?

Above is just an example of the sorts of things I've added. I've got 63 objectives currently but a lot of them are just like the top one, becoming idolized or vilianised which are exclusive so you'll never have both in a board, which effectively reduces my current count by one for each.

I'm making this using https://lockout.live/, it's a great site. I don't know the game inside and out so if you make a suggestion it'd be great if you could label is Early, Mid, Late, or Endgame, based on how long it'd take to get from a fresh save.

1. Honest Hearts: pretty much a piece of cake. None of the enemies are that difficult at all, apart from Yao Guai. I sniped the Tribal enemies from afar most of the time, and due to the fact I had a follower for like 85 percent of the DLC even the close combat wasn't difficult. Got lots of good loot out of it, and made 100k Caps in loot selling.

2. Dead Money: enemies weren't hard obviously, but managing the restrictions was kinda funky. This DLC was conflicting - sometimes I loved the new atmosphere of not really being in combat and being sneaky and avoidant, but then other times I hated it. I have always been a crafting hoe, but I loved how DM forced you into minimalism with not a lot of equipment and need to make something out of nothing. Sneaking out with all Gold Bars thanks to Turbo was satisfying though.

3. Lonesome Road: by this point, I had already finished my Batman Build (sneak Unarmed Criticals, swinging for the fences with my Katana if the enemy didn't die), so I was strong as hell. Problem was always landing the Sneak Attacks perfectly, and avoiding head-on fights at all costs.

4. Old World Blues: the game tells you that you can do this DLC at level 20, which is fucking bullshit. Lobotomites hit hard as hell, the Scorpions are durable af, and the DLC has plenty of other nefarious creatures like Cazadores, Nightstalkers and Robots. Thank fuck I listened to my instinct and didn't do this DLC first, otherwise I would have been cooked. Much like with Honest Hearts, I left OWB a very wealthy man, but I'm pretty sure I made way more than 100k.

After saving primm and finding them a new sheriff, I decided to add the cherry on top and return Vance's gun. I have Ed e with me fully upgraded so theres no point in ever coming back to primm ever again.

I only realize this 50 hours and all the DLCs later. Am I screwed?

I’m level 20 currently and in the middle of the brotherhood questline about to venture to vault 22. After I do all the Brotherhood quests I’m considering just knocking out a bunch of side quests, completing Dead Money then OWB before I pay Benny a visit. Sort of treating New Vegas like San Francisco in 2. Would I be missing out on much if I went this route?

Yeah we all probably already know the answer, but I did want to double check

Context: I already completed Veronica’s questline but we dove into Vault 34 for the Pulse Gun and I told Veronica to stay with the Brotherhood

I recently added an ENB mod to my fallout new Vegas load order (Rudy’s ENB to be exact). Everything else is fine, except my weapons being transparent with a blueish purple tint. This is happening with all my weapons, including modded ones, so I don’t think that is a problem with and retexture or reanimation mods.

This types of questions definitely have been asked before, but since I didn't see anyone discussing bout this recently, I decided to revived the discussion again. So how would each factions (from major to minor) react and uses the Big MT technologies?

Let us assume that your Courier after 2nd Battle or Hoover Dam feeling kinda generous so they shared the technology from Big MT to the factions they sided with in order to quickly rebuilt Vegas from warzones. What sort of technology that they would share to the world?

First time playing New Vegas (after 1, 2, Tactics, Nevada and 3), and choosing mods and difficulty isn't easy.

TLDR: I'd like a bit of a challenge, especially when things gets too easy after midgame and money loads, but not something tedious. Usually love the gameplay of high INT characters. More info:

I'd like to keep it vanilla, but stability and bug fixes are obviously a must, so reading around I learned about VNV and JSawyer Ultimate. After playing 3 I remarked on a post how (not just there) I didn't like going from broke to richest person around almost overnight and how the game always went from very hard to very easy almost as fast, someone suggested hardcore mod.

Coming to the question: I read the wiki page of hardcore mode and something about JSawyer, but it's still fuzzy what's the difference, which one I should choose and how much harder they make the game. I usually play on medium and I'm not that interested to just lowering the stats, as it doesn't really feel more or less difficult, but just limiting or advantaging (let's also please forget how in FO3 you max out everything and not even late game but closer to half of it, awful)

I like medium difficulty, always played medium, what I'd love is something to keep it a bit challenging, especially later on in the game, early on it's always been a good amount of frustrating. Emphasis on challenging, not more tedious (if I have too little inventory space I'll have to loot anyway, it will just waste my time while I do it in two times). Should I go for hardcore? Install Jsawyer? Just skip on this? Is there a way to enable hardcore partially (like no ammo weight and choose the stimpack heal speed)? Is there another basically-vanilla mod I should give a try to?

For reference: I like playing high-INT players and then focus on Energy. Before you say "duh, yeah, then you're playing the broken build and complaining it's broken": it's because speaking your way around is how I like an RPG, it gives you more insight to the story, you have more dialogue... I also do all the sidequests I can find, as I usually don't really game much, so if I'll end up replaying it, that will happen years from now, no point on "saving some sides for the next playthrough".

1. Boone: didn't like his moaning schtick, so I skipped dialogue with him to a large extent. In combat, Boone was surprisingly useless when trying to snipe people from afar. He missed 70 percent of his shots, and instead would just make that stupid angry face of his with a rifle on the shoulder. In close proximity, he was very good though. Pissed me off that I had to reload quite a few times because of him, as the jumpy bald boy that is 26 but looks 50 attacks Legion on sight, and I was homies with them.

2. ED-E: a total G, Eddie had to have been a hood kingpin in the past, because this motherfucker would always shoot first and ask questions later. Clearing out Broc Flower Cave was a bitch, because Eddie wanted to 4 vs 1 and 5 vs 1 Giant Rats all the damn time, and he kept dying. One time, he literally dropped off a ledge where he was safe, and tried to take out numerous Rats all on his own. Total baller, Eddie is my dawg.

3. Veronica: fuck this bitch. Yes, she is hilarious and her backstory is pretty cool, but my God was she useless in this playthrough. She constantly ran away from enemies, she let Rex die about 240 times, and the amount of times I had to re-do fights because she would literally do nothing and just dip on us is unhealthy. One time, I cleared out the entire hill pathway full of Cazadors in the Freeside vicinity (you guys will know what I'm talking about, it's the area where you get enforced Combat Armor) after many tries. All of a sudden, while we're on our way to do Honest Hearts, Veronica just drops dead from poisoning. This happened many times. Learn how to accept a Stimpak, Christ.

4. Raul: he was cool, very helpful especially after I put him in the smexy Enclave suit. One time this poor bastard tanked hits from like 8 Nightstalkers at once, survived, and still killed like 3 of them.

5. Rex: Rex didn't like Veronica, and seemed to hate her more and more after she let him die like 200 times lol. Rex was awesome though, followed directions better than literally any other follower.

6. Arcade: my favorite one. Best dialogue, best backstory, and most useful in fights. Yes, he stole most of my kills with his damn Energy Weapons, but Arcade is still my vice president.

7. Lily: poor Grandma, she witnessed me butcher the entire Camp Forlorn Hope, and had a disappointed look on her face the entire time. Luckily, I made her forget anything ever happened because I drugged her up afterwards.

8. Cass: another super annoying one, this drunk wench had a Deathclaw fetish for some fucking reason. I tried sneaking into Quarry Junction to stealthily snipe all the clawed bastards, but Cass somehow made it in too (despite me telling her to stay back), and then started blasting. She died in one hit and it was hilarious to see.
