I used the famous Slavic method to ask the universe for a yes or no question before sleeping, but I ended up dreaming that I was dead and discovered I had a soul, what could this mean ?
Hi everyone, I had a really strange and vivid dream last night and I would love to hear a spiritual interpretation of it.
Before going to sleep, I tried one of those dream divination methods where you ask the universe a yes or no question and ask for a specific symbol to appear in your dream. From what I understood, seeing bread or a field of wheat is supposed to mean yes, while seeing water is supposed to mean no.
My question was about a specific person in my life. I asked whether this person is currently thinking about me a lot.
I repeated the phrase before falling asleep and then had an incredibly vivid dream that actually woke me up around 2 or 3 AM.
In the dream, I was in my apartment and it was daytime. Everything felt relatively normal. I picked up my phone and called my current best friend. The strange thing is that throughout the dream I kept calling her by the name of my childhood best friend, even though I somehow knew that I was actually talking to my current best friend.
While we were talking, she suddenly said something like, “Do you realize that you’re dead?”
I was confused, and she explained to me that we had gone to an amusement park together. Apparently I had been on a roller coaster, hit my head against some kind of obstacle, broke my neck, fell and died instantly.
I started looking at myself and noticed something strange about my hands and arms. They seemed to have this subtle glowing or sparkling quality to them. That was when I slowly realized that I really was dead and that what I was seeing was basically my spirit.
My first reaction was to ask about my parents and my family. I asked her how they had reacted to my death, and she told me that my family was completely devastated. Hearing that affected me deeply.
But strangely enough, I wasn’t scared of being dead. I wasn’t panicking or feeling anxious. It was more like pure disbelief. I just kept thinking, “Wow, I’m actually dead.”
At some point I looked outside through my window and noticed that the street seemed unusually empty.
I then asked my friend whether we could somehow meet in person. She told me that it wasn’t possible because I was dead. I remember telling her that maybe we could still meet and I could be there as a ghost. I could move objects or somehow give her signs so that she would know it was me.
She said she would think about it.
Then I looked at my arms and hands again and could see that strange glowing quality. I realized that I was an actual spirit.
And this is probably the strangest and most memorable part of the entire dream. I kept repeating to myself, “So we really do have souls. If this is me right now, then we actually have souls. This is my soul.”
I remember being almost amazed by the realization rather than frightened by it.
Then I woke up and immediately thought, what the hell was that?
What confuses me is that I had specifically asked whether this person was thinking about me a lot, and I was expecting either bread or wheat for yes, or water for no. Instead, I don’t remember seeing either of those things. I got this extremely vivid dream about dying, becoming a spirit, trying to communicate with people I love, and realizing that the soul exists.
I’m really curious about how someone who practices spirituality, dream interpretation or divination would interpret this.
