Success Story Success Story Mega Thread - Got your BFP? We want to hear about it!

This is your space to share your success story with the community that cheered you on. Whether it took you 1 cycle or 12, your story matters and someone out there needs to hear it right now.

When sharing please include anything you feel comfortable with such as how many cycles it took, what you were tracking, what worked for you, and anything you wish you had known at the start.

When sharing your story feel free to use this format:

  • Cycles it took:
  • What I tracked/tools:
  • What I think helped:
  • Anything I wish I knew at the start:
  • Any advice for others still in the TWW:
  • A few things to keep in mind:

This thread is for everyone who has been trying for any length of time. All success stories are valid here, whether cycle 1 or cycle 12+. Please be kind and keep any negative thoughts to yourself.

Please don't tag other users in your post. You can absolutely thank people, just don't tag them directly. This keeps the thread comfortable for everyone, including those who may find BFP posts difficult to see.

If you have nothing kind to add, please scroll on.

Comments that are unkind or gatekeeping will be removed.

Congratulations and welcome to the next chapter! 🌸

Hey everyone! A few quick updates from the mod team 💛

Nothing major, just some housekeeping to make the sub easier to navigate for everyone. Thanks in advance for bearing with us!

  • Flairs got a refresh — We updated the post flairs, so please use them when you post! It just makes it way easier for people to scroll and find exactly what they're looking for (or avoid what they're not in the mood for). If you feel like we're missing one, drop a comment or shoot us a message, we're always open to suggestions.
  • BFPs go in the megathread — We've got a pinned Success Stories megathread and we'd love for all the exciting news to live there so we can celebrate together in one spot!
  • Discharge pics need a trigger warning — If you're posting about discharge and want to add a pic, please use the Trigger Warning flair, blur the image, and pop it in the comments rather than the main post. Small thing, but it keeps the feed comfy for everyone scrolling.
  • Line eyes? We've got you, but keep pics in the comments — We all know that feeling of staring at a test way too long trying to decide if that's a line or a shadow. Totally normal, no judgment! Just use the "Line Eyes - Help!" flair and keep the pictures in the comments instead of the post itself. Reason being, when posts get flooded with test pics, it can be harder for yours (and everyone else's) to actually get seen and get the support you need. This just helps spread the love around a bit better

Just a heads up: posts that don't follow the line eyes or discharge picture guidelines will be removed, so we really appreciate you helping us keep this consistent for everyone.

Thanks so much for helping us keep this space easy to use and kind, as always. Questions or ideas? Drop them below, we read everything!

TWW trying to avoid eye contact with my unopened box of pregnancy tests...

literally only 4 DPO and losing my mind with anticipation/impatience.
i'm a rational person. i know that in no realty would i get a positive right now. but the parasites in me.... the demons in me want me to pee on a stick.
i'm a stay at home wife and my husband (who's my only friend) has no access to his phone while he's at work. so here i am, home alone, pacing back and forth past the box of tests on the dining table, while dramatic stings play in the background every time i get close to the box.
no one knows we're trying, so i have no one to vent to. no one to grab me by the shoulders and shake the irrational "but maybe!" out of my noggin.
i've been incessantly cleaning the house. i've been trying to numb my brain with social media, which, of course, is flooded with pregnancy/TTC content. i've been rearranging rooms. all while the little pink box in the corner of my eye whispers sweet nothings to me.

this is AGONYYYYYY.

Got my 2nd positive on my 5th cycle after a chemical my first try!! I am unsure when I ovulated it was somewhere between day 14&18 now I’m on CD 27 I am curious how many dpo you think I am as I think I probably ovulated closer to 14! The 2nd first response looks way darker but they are the same test and used the same sample

Confused Questions about progesterone, bbt, ovulation and ovulation inducers

Hey y'all my husband (M27) and I (F24) are very new to ttc and I would appreciate any guidance you have regarding bbt, ovulation, progesterone levels and ovulation inducers.

A few months back I saw an OBGYN regarding really long menstrual cycles (35-60 days). I've never really been regular, but I can get the gist of what's going on though my bbt. I've been tracking bbt for about a year now and I understand how to read a chart for the most part. My OB had me do some blood tests to confirm I was ovulating. Based on my tests, 7 days after my temps spike for ovulation, I do not have enough progesterone in my body for my OB to confirm ovulation.

My OB didn't give me much information other than she can't confirm ovulation and to let her know if I want to try an ovulation inducer.

This might just be me being uneducated, but in my understanding of hormone cycles, the temperature spike is caused by progesterone increasing in the body from the corpus luteum which forms after ovulation.

How can I have a temperature spike without ovulating?

I don't want to jump straight to ovulation inducers because the chance for multiples is higher.

Has anyone here experienced something similar?

Has anyone used ovulation inducers? How did it go?

I've added my latest three charts in case that helps determine if I am or am not ovulating based on bbt.

Question/Advice Spotting at 13dpo but BFN, any chance it’s not AF?

• Upvotes

Hello,
Have you had spotting and back pain as your first pregnancy symptoms a few days before expected AF? I realize it’s close to AF and might be pms-ing but have also had a bad cold/runny nose 7-10dpo, and vivid dreams this month, and I almost never do.

Thanks for your quick responses!!

My temps are looking so good this cycle. My cycle is usually 25 days and we are staying pretty high 11 dpo. I feel like I’m seeing a faint line unless it’s an indent line 🥺 (don’t mind my lash extensions lol) what do you all think?

Question/Advice First time TTC with irregular period after 10 years pill use

Hi!
I’m 34 years old and have used birth control pill for 10 years. My husband and I are finally feeling ready to have a baby.

Starting May, we stopped alcohol, focused on our diet, starting taking Coq10 supplement, daily vitamins, prenatal for me

I got off my pill end of July and very quickly had to learn all about how to track a cycle, BBT, ovulation tests, peeing on the sticks during a certain time and making sure my pee is not too diluted.

I started using Premom and was getting frustrated when I finally had LH peak on cycle day 24. Today on cycle day 35 (11DPO) I thought I have spotting and clots. HCG test negative.

I know if I call my OB, she will say I should keep trying and it’s only been one cycle after getting off birth control. I’ve always had irregular period since I started puberty but no doctor ever considered it to be an issue or tested anything.

I feel lost. I’m considering ordering Inito for the next cycle but see mixed reviews.

I’m looking for any advice on how to make my life easier in tracking my cycles and what may have worked for someone who has a similar history.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

💛

Question/Advice Could I have missed my fertile window?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I had a very positive LH strip on 8/26, like 1.06, and that is the day we had sex. Today, Natural Cycles (based on their algorithm) confirmed the ovulation on 8/30. I’m assuming based on the temperature. But technically they say 12-36 hours after the LH surge.

Any insight?

Question/Advice 7dpo symptoms?

I know this is sounds desperate/crazy. But I don’t have anyone around me to talk things out with. I am currently 7dpo. Just started experiencing cramping like an achey cramp. I typically get these a day or two before my period but that is still 6-7 days away. I really don’t want to sound like a crazy symptom spotter but I’ve also been irritatable, tired, and hungry.

Anyone that’s been through this have any advice for my sanity? ;,)

Question/Advice 3 DPO

Hiiii, I need a little guidance - maybe reassurance. TTC, 3 dpo, and trying to remain hopeful this go around. I’m trying to remind myself that it’s too early to know anything, however… CM is still heavier than normal, and just now there was light pink streaking within the CM. This is very unusual for me, so it has me a little too excited. My LH was also MUCH higher this month than ever before which gave us more hope as well.
Ultimately, I was wondering if a little pink in CM is a normal symptom of anything?
And I guess I’m just looking for words of positivity along with any experiences you guys have had this early dpo that landed you a positive test? I’ve got some cramping on one side, breasts feel heavy, and overall just feel a little weird. I’ve also never been pregnant so I’m at a loss on how to navigate things I’ve never dealt with.
Sorry if this makes no sense, I am all over the place this morning 😭
