Campground recommendations near Shelbyville/Frankfort for solo female camper?

I’m looking for campground recommendations around the Shelbyville or Frankfort area for a solo camping trip. I’ll be tent camping, and since I’ll be by myself, I’d especially love recommendations from women who have camped alone and felt comfortable.

I’m not looking for anything super remote or backcountry. Ideally somewhere that feels relatively safe and well-maintained, with other campers around but still enough space/privacy to actually feel like I’m camping.

Bonus points for:

  • Clean bathrooms/showers
  • Sites near water or somewhere I can kayak
  • Decent cell service
  • Somewhere you’ve personally stayed and would feel comfortable returning to alone

I’ve looked at a few places online, but reviews don’t always tell you much about what a campground actually feels like when you’re there by yourself. Would love some local recommendations!
