Not that any of the frustration and anger has been unwarranted by any means. Wilson has looked thoroughly unqualified and unequipped to lead a professional baseball team.

It's become incredibly clear that 2025 was a fluke performance that was achieved in spite of Dan, and not because of it.

This was a man who was an integral part of one of the most special periods of our franchise history...and most people can't stand him any more.

I hate seeing him out there on the mound with his vague platitudes and baseless assurances that things will change. Hate those shitty bullpen decisions, hate those lineup calls.

How much of that is just marching orders from top brass, I don't know. But Dan Wilson is the face of that organizational rot.

I hate that this team is just gonna keep him out there to squirm and flail while his reputation among the fanbase continues to deteriorate.

This team doesn't deserve it, this fanbase doesn't deserve it, Dan doesn't deserve it.

This is very bad news for the Mariners. Kroenke has field champions with the LA Rams, Denver Nuggets and Colorado avalanche. While the angels will still need a complete overhaul the team will be in much better shape and contumely well run under the Kroenke family. The A’s and Mariners ownership will run far behind that of the Angels, Astros and Rangers

A crane overturned and caught fire at Mumbai Port on 31 August 2026. Two operators were injured.
The incident happened during cargo unloading at the port's Ballard Pier Extension. Video published by Hindustan Times and Livemint showed heavy black smoke rising from the site, visible across a wide area of the port.
Maritime Executive and The Hindu both reported that the two people hurt were crane operators. The crane collapsed first, with fire following shortly after.

I think I'm finally losing my last faith in this team. And Dan definitely plays a huge role in that. He doesn't bring any energy and his management is horrible.

We're 6 games behind in the division and 5.5 in the WC with just 24 games to go. The Astros playing 15 out of 24 games against teams over .500, so maybe they loose more than they win? Maybe not, because they're 27-19 against such teams.

If the Astros play .500 ball for the rest of the season, we have to finish 19-5. Even with our easy schedule I'm not seeing it at all.

Somehow Fangraphs gives us a 11.8% chance to reach the playoffs (10.2% to win the division, 1.5% to get WC spot).

The first was also a Mariner. Ron Wright - 04/14/2002. He was called up because Edgar had ruptured his hamstring, and was thrust into action after Jeff Cirillo got hit in the head during batting practice.

Ron went 0-3 with a K, grounding into a double play and grounding into a triple play. (So yes... 3 at-bats ending in 6 outs.) It was his only MLB appearance. Until today he also held the distinction of being the only player to debut at DH.
