Nine years ago I met Cheech Marin at his book signing in San Mateo… and the book was even funnier than I expected.
Fast forward to last Saturday at San Jose GalaxyCon — I finally got to meet the other half of the duo, Tommy Chong.
I was THIS close to capturing the whole interaction on my spy watch (free, no photo-op needed)… then the battery decided to die on me mid-line. Red lights. No recording. Had to pay for the photo and meet him the old-fashioned way.
Still an awesome moment though. Already eyeing a new, way more discreet recorder with better battery and bigger storage. Next time I’m ready.

They crushed up Fruit Loops, then they put popsicle sticks into sticks of butter, and rolled on the crushed Fruit Loops onto the sticks of butter. Graggle and Sairgee sat on the porch eating sticks of butter with crushed Fruit Loops rolled on, off a popsicle stick. Then Squidward got home from work and then made this awesome soup. They all had soup together, Graggle and Sairgee just drink the soup through a coffee stirrer, those little tiny straws commonly found in hotels. Graggle and Sairgee were not interested in the solids of the soup, just the liquid. Then Graggle and Sairgee went to the Quest Giver. They were given a quest. They went to town square and watch the public fountain. They carried a clipboard, and took meticulous notes on every bird that drank from the fountain. Then they returned to the Quest Giver. They were given a half-empty box of Sparklers from last Fourth of July and an old cassette tape of 80s aerobics music. They returned to Squidward’s house. It is now dark out. They played the tape on a boombox, and they used the sparklers, watching the pretty sparkles in the dark.

😂 The juxtaposition is absolutely vicious.

PARENTS: “We should have the architect modify the dream-house plans. Actually, never mind, let’s just buy the enormous house on the hill.”
