Meta Affiliate Link Ban

Starting today, affiliate links are banned. Comments containing them will be automatically removed. The decision to allow them was made back when this was a tiny sub; we've since ballooned in size, there's been a noticeable uptick in users posting affiliate links (and in mass amounts, at that), and the rule was always on shaky ground due to both arbitrary enforcement (what dictates a "worthy" comment vs. a comment fishing for affiliate money?) and general principle.

If you've posted affiliate links in the past, you're not in trouble retroactively or otherwise. Comments containing affiliate links should, from now on, be automatically removed; no other action will be taken beyond automatic comment removal unless absolutely necessary.

I need help picking a phone

Upvotes

I need help picking a phone please

I currently own a samsung z flip 7 (i know. I had a good obsession with the flips for a bit but I'm tired of it being so sensitive; I recently cracked its screen and the oled is 'leaking.')

Anywho, I don't want an iPhone, and I have had my eye on the Samsung S25FE for a few days **(I'm also broke.)** I've found 256gb version for around 500 euros so I thought it might be good but I'm not certain.

I need something with a decent camera, something that would last a while, and not extremely expensive

:(

Please grace me with your wisdom, much thanks

Netherlands Can someone pick me a mid-range phone to replace my dying Samsung Galaxy A55?

Here's the stuff I pretty much NEED in a phone and what's not that important but nice

I want to be able to OEM unlock, I want to reuse my phone after support has ended

I also want long support, it doesn't have to be like 7 years, but I'd want it to be at least 3 or 4 years of OS updates, can also be more

I need an OS that's not super buggy like my Samsung

I want to play light games mostly 2D stuff like Earn to Die or other games, I don't need the top of the line specs, since ik not playing extreme stuff to handle it

What I want but don't need

I'd like good customization

I want there to be at least some kind of an ecosystem, because I like it when products can properly hook into each other since theyre the same brand

I prefer a small display

I want a good battery lasting at least a day, preferably more, but nowadays, they almost all have that, and needing more isn't really needed, think like the battery and SoT of my Galaxy A55 but a bit higher

What I don't really care about

The camera, look, it has to be usable, but I barely shoot, and if I shoot, it doesn't have to look super good, I don't need 200mp cameras or that stuff

Display refresh rate, 120hz, 144hz, 165hz I don't care on a phone, if I want high refresh rates, I'll just pick a different device

Bloatware, unless it's ads hard baked into the software, I can always just remove apps with adb or delete them if they're not a system app (edit I'm in the Netherlands)

US New to android

I haven't really been on android since the note 5 and the s7. I just recently switched to android and I tried the 11 pro pixel and felt like it was so locked down, then switched to the samsung s26 ultra. I'm not a huge fan of samsung but unfortunately I live in the US and seems like I have limited choices. I was considering the nothing phone but am kinda worried if it only work on t mobile will the service be crap. Can anyone recommend another android. Best buy is limited. Also I only like the samsung for the ultra watch is honestly the only reason im still with this phone

UK Looking for a good phone under £500 that has a good camera.

My Xperia 10 IV is starting to show its age. The charging port is worn out, and the phone has become noticeably slower over time. I'm looking for an upgrade that has the features I need:

  1. A decent/good camera for taking photos. My Sony had an amazing camera despite being a midrange phone, so I'd like something that can match or exceed it.
  2. A long update cycle. I don't want a phone that only lasts around two years and receives just one Android update.
  3. UK availability. It must be officially available in the UK through trusted marketplaces/retailers. I live in Kent, if that helps.
  4. Good battery life. This isn't absolutely essential, but it would be a big bonus.

I know these requirements are quite specific, but I feel like there has to be a phone out there that's made for me. Help me find it!

United States of America Looking for an inexpensive but decent quality Android phone.

Long story short, my current phone has a busted screen, and replacing it on this model is so expensive that it seems I'm better off just getting a new one.

Honestly, I'll be happy so long as it's as good as or better than a Samsung Galaxy A15 and not too pricey (ideally under $100).

Please and thank you.

Edit: I live in the United States of America (USA). Nevada, to be specific.

USD Poco F8 Ultra or F9 Ultra?

I need help deciding since the F9 Ultra releases today and all Poco phones have an ongoing discount only today. Current prices converted to USD are:

F8 Ultra: ~640 USD, 16GB/512GB

F9 Ultra: ~690 USD, 16GB/512GB

The prices are really close, but I've read comments online saying that the F9 speakers are worse (marginally) and that the screen glass is worse. Can anyone help identify which option would be better? Thanks

[Purchase Advice] RedMagic 11 Air vs 10 Air vs GT 50 Pro vs 30 Pro ($600 Budget) – Upgrading from iPhone 8

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to upgrade from my old iPhone 8 and want to buy a gaming phone that will be my main, long-term device with a budget of around $600. (I almost bought a Samsung M14 last year, but i checked my friends m14 but when I tried playing online games it lagged more than my old iPhone 8 and it’s not built for gaming like my old iPhone).

I’m not an esports player, streamer, or hardcore competitive grinder—I just play casually when I want to, mainly online shooters like Call of Duty: Mobile (where I prefer a stationary sniper playstyle in BR and fastpaced SMG’s for mp) and PUBG Mobile. More than anything, I want a zero-lag experience without thermal issues.

** **My Must-Haves:
Effective cooling system (active fan or advanced liquid cooling is fine)
Good shoulder triggers
Better display for gaming
The Phones I’m Comparing:
Nubia RedMagic 11 Air
Nubia RedMagic 10 Air
Infinix GT 50 Pro
Infinix GT 30 Pro

Since all four of these have cooling features and shoulder triggers, why should I choose one over the other for a smooth, casual experience that will last for years? Which one offers the best overall value for a $600 budget, and are they actually worth every single penny? Thanks!

USD Looking for phone recommendations — camera is my priority

I’m looking for a new phone around $14,000 MXN (~$800 USD). I was originally considering the Pixel 10 256gb, but the more I look into it, the more complaints I see about things like video quality, connectivity and apps occasionally freezing or stuttering, so now I’m not sure if it’s the best option.

My main priority is the overall camera system, especially photo and video quality across all the lenses, not just the main camera. I’d also like a phone with a good/premium design.

I’m open to both Android and iPhone, and I can wait a bit if there are better options coming soon or prices are expected to drop.

What would you recommend around this price?

Trying to pick a smartphone under ₹40K, what would you go for?

sat: was waiting for the sales before upgrading and now I'm somehow more confused. budget is around 40k and I mostly use my phone for social media, youtube, taking pics/videos when i travel and some BGMI but nothing too heavy.

main things for me are good cameras + video stabilisation, battery, fast charging and a phone that doesn't heat up too much. also want clean software and 256gb if possible, motorola Edge 70 Pro is one im considering right now but there are so many phones around this price during the sales

planning to keep it for at least 4-5 years so what else should i be looking at?

USD New phone recommendations

In the market for a new phone.

Previously had a OnePlus 7 pro. Fab phone but battery life now not great.

Budget approx 700-900eur

800eur = 927 USD for reference.

Need a great camera, great battery life and something which will last me years.

Considering Google pixel 11 pro as I can get it for a discount at 800eur when I trade in my old phone. Main negative feedback I have seen is that the hardware could be better and that there's not much of an upgrade to last year.

I won't be playing games on my phone so should be ok.

I also like the 7 years of security updates.

I would consider the OnePlus 15 but they no longer sell in my region.

Oppo find x9 pro seems great but is outside my price range currently.

Any other recommendations?

Thanks

UAE I can get an S26 Ultra for 870$

I currently have an S23 Ultra on its last legs and I want an upgrade.

A new S26 Ultra is 870$ , Xiaomi 17t Pro 720$ ,

Fold 8 for 1450$

Xiaomi comes with a few freebies ( 6 months screen damage warranty , 4 month Spotify and YouTube Premium) and 100$ Earphones.

They are both new and trading in my S23 Ultra would take 250$ extra off.

Can't make up my mind.

Country : UAE
