So my nursing background is Labor&Delivery & postpartum. I did that for five years and I have been a case manager at aetna for the last three years. I started out and just a general medical case management position for one year and now I am in maternity case management. I love the company and I love the flexibility of working from home, the pay is great, love my leadership, etc. BUT being on phone calls all day is so draining. I was curious if anyone has had experience in utilization management at aetna specifically? I would really like to stay with this company! If anyone has any input on the position, current pay, etc. I would love to hear it! I know that it is hourly as opposed to salary, and there are some on-call hours, but wasn’t sure how much to expect.

I’m posting for my mom (I’m her second of three kids). She lives in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and is looking for a **full-time job** — preferably on-site with accommodations or fully remote.

She worked as a **Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 14 years** before a hip injury that now limits her mobility. She cannot walk long distances or stand/walk for long periods. She also has **limited computer knowledge** but is willing and able to learn basic skills.

She’s hoping for roles that are mostly seated, don’t require heavy physical work, and can offer reasonable accommodations under the ADA. Her CNA background gives her strong experience in patient care, documentation, working with elderly and disabled individuals, teamwork, and reliability.

Any leads or advice appreciated for:

* Healthcare-related jobs that are less physical (medical office support, patient scheduling/coordination, light administrative roles, etc.) * Other full-time seated or remote positions that value her caregiving experience * Entry-level roles or places that provide on-the-job computer training * Companies or agencies in/near Prince George’s County that are disability-friendly * Government or nonprofit programs that help people with disabilities (and limited computer skills) find suitable work in Maryland

Bear with me… this might be a little lengthy.

I’m a RN with 2.5 years experience in periop nursing. I love my job but lately they have pushed more and more responsibilities on us and increased patient load to where everyone is utterly exhausted. When I started I was working about 8-9 hour shifts and now I’m working 9-12 hour shifts. I never wanted a job with 12 hour shifts. They’re just not for me. This has been my first and only job as a RN. No nights/call/weekends/holidays so it’s great but God I’m TIRED, my mental health is suffering due to lack of sleep (early mornings/long hours/young kids), and I miss being home with my kids…

I’ve thought about getting a remote job as I have two young kids at home, but I recently found out I’m pregnant with my third and I’m not sure how that would all work with FMLA/maternity leave or if I would get any at all being a fairly new employee. Not to mention childcare is extremely limited where I am and also expensive so 3 kids in daycare is a no-go. My husband is not ok with me just up and quitting my current job (not that I intended to) so if I’m going to jump ship I need a plan in place but I need it to be a secure plan for my own sanity and peace of mind.

My options right now are:

-stay with my current job until baby #3 is here and figure out what to do at that point (I get 8wks unpaid leave)

-move to a remote job (however I want something that doesn’t require tons of phone time and probably something part time or PRN rather than full time - suggestions?)

Idk exactly what I’m asking here, just need some advice that is not coming from my husband or friends lol.

Just got interviewed last week, called the recruiter, she said that she is just waiting for a job positions on my region the she'll inform me. Anyone have the same exp? Shoild i expect somethimg?

I just started remote work as a QA / medical records review specialist + virtual receptionist. Im currently just using my my macbook pro 2020 (🦖) and i've been wanting to buy a desktop for the longest time bc i can't choose over Imac or PC! 😩 and yes, aesthetics are a big thing for me (Thinking of an all white/grey set up) and I do play games from time to time but nothing serious. And I do think I want double monitors too.

What would you guys recommend? Budget wise, I can comfortably go up to 130k.

I was wondering if anybody has advice or insight for the interview? Also is it normal to get a text for a virtual recruiting assistant?

I am an RN in Canada (BScN). 10 years of bedside experience, 5 years of health care education experience which is what I currently do (full-time, Monday through Friday)

I am presently working towards my MScN on a part-time basis as I have a young family. I’d say I have approx. 2-2.5 years left. I’m in my late 30s.

Ideally I’d love to earn an extra $2k or so per month, in addition to my full-time job. However, I cannot return to the bedside, which would be the easy route, I know.

I need something remote, that is either in the evenings and/or weekends, or with no set schedule, and more of a task completion deadline, but on your own schedule type of thing.

I had luck with this in the past working as a curriculum developer and subject matter expert, however Canada has significantly scaled back its international student population so many of our colleges and universities have cut back and laid off thousands of educators.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone! I’m trying to get a better idea of the current salary range for RNs working in medical bill review/payment integrity for insurance companies or workers’ comp carriers such as UHC/Optum, Sedgwick, Liberty Mutual, or other large companies.
I currently work as an RN doing bill review and payment integrity, including reviewing high-dollar and complex medical bills. I make about low-$80Ks total compensation.

I’ve been in this type of role for several years, and lately I’ve been wondering if I’m underpaid compared with the current market.
For anyone working in a similar role, would you mind sharing:

RN here, I hire virtual nurses for my day job. Got tired of watching “does anyone work at [company], how is it” posts sit there with zero replies, so I made a list. About 2,700 companies, each one links straight to their own careers page instead of some aggregator. Free, no signup, no email wall.

Next step is filling in the stuff people actually want. Real pay vs the posted range. Whether they watch your screen. Caseload numbers. How long hiring takes. Who’s been doing layoffs. That part has to come from nurses, one company at a time, so it’ll be slow, but it builds up.

So what would make you use this instead of just asking here or on Facebook? And what’s on there that’s flat out wrong?

I’ve been working remotely as a UM nurse consultant for an insurance company and I’m getting burnt out. I’ve even thought about returning to in person work (outpatient or administrative) but really not sure about it. What are some different areas I could work in remotely or in person that are not so monotonous and soul sucking? I have over 13 years experience as a RN and previous to working UM I worked med/surg, home care, LTC/rehab, family practice, OP hem/onc.

Hi, I'm a RN of 5.5 years. I have lupus and just had surgery on my hips and I'm trying to find some work from home nursing jobs. I'm having trouble landing these things.y background is all ICU. I'm graduating with my masters in nursing edu. I'd love a job with good insurance as I have a lot of meds and infusions I have to have. I don't want to stop working but I just want something I can do that makes decent and allows me to help others. I'm applying at Cigna for telephonic nurse. It's an LPN job but I'm open to it just for the convince. I'd anyone knows other WFH jobs and willing to help with referrals I'd appreciate it.

My wife and I are nurses and want to step away from bedside forever. We have both exp in critical care but i think it is now impossible to land a job cause we dont have case management or UM exp, that is why we want to try carenet. I know the pay is low but at least we can start gaining experience. Can we give it a shot? Thank you everyone
