My husband died at 29, I am burying him on his birthday tomorrow
I can’t go on. I can’t. He died in a motorcycle crash. We have been trying for a baby for a year. We would have had our appointment today to start shots and our doctor was adamant that this would be the month we finally got pregnant. He’s been taken from me and I can’t breathe. I can’t even go back to my home. I can’t go on. I can’t go on without him. He was my everything. My best friend. We were attached at the hip.
I don’t remember a lot, but I know I left my mom and sister’s home in the night while everyone was asleep and I walked over 3 miles to get to mine and my husband’s home. I had this sudden urge and this pull that if I could just get to mine and my husband’s house where his guns were, then I was going to follow him. I could and would finally be with him again. I would follow him. I always told him I would follow him wherever he would go. And I meant that.. because I loved him with a love deeper than anything else in this world.
I work for a police department. One of the officers out patrolling saw me and called in the supervisor on their shift and they made me stop. They wouldn’t let me go. I was so close. I was only another two miles away from being with him again. They took away the means for me to be with my husband.
I need to be with him. I need to know another way that isn’t painful that I can be with my soulmate again. He was my everything. We had our whole lives together ahead of us. I am not me without him. I can’t bear to take another breath without him here.
