I think I’m letting my people skills (which I think are pretty solid) go to waste.

How hard is it to transition from a purely technical role to sales?

I’ll be graduating with my bachelor’s in computer science in may. I am very discouraged about the major I chose, given the current job market. Every summer I have applied for (at the very least) 50 internships, and I was denied for each. From the few recruiters that did respond to me, the only reasoning I recived was that 1. The role was no longer needed. 2. The role has been filled. I can not really afford to spend time and resources on a completely new degree.
What are some things I can do to make myself more marketable? Would it be wise for me to attempt to pivot towards cybersecurity?

So o got a bachelors in cyber security but didn’t realize the difficulties going into that field wit no prior experience. So I went into a NOC technician role for telecommunications. I have moved to another telecom Lumen operation tech 3 role still doing networking with layer 1-3 Cisco, juniper and Nokia systems with the typical network protocols o spf, bgp, isis etc etc. I’ve been doing those type of job for 6 years now and I’ve decided to branch my IT skills into more a software engineer role - network automation, SRE, Devops. I was hoping to use my job to pay for my schooling and get a masters in computer science so I can branch into these fields. Do you think this program would be beneficial to land that role? Or should I look for other colleges and/or certificate pathways?

Got offered a Forward Deployed Engineer role at a well-funded startup — 5 YOE as a data engineer currently, comp would be 20% higher.

Pros: pay bump, faster exposure to client-facing/product work instead of just building pipelines, broader skillset, seen as a launchpad toward founder/PM paths, hot title right now.

Cons: more travel and less predictable hours, risk it's dressed-up implementation work rather than real technical problem-solving, worried about trading depth for breadth right when my specialization is compounding, switch-back cost if it doesn't work out.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Need help from experienced regarding switching company.
Everyone talks of dsa and system design and I have started doing it daily. But only thing that concerns me is when I see any opening titled "Software Engineer" and read the job description 80% it is mentioned 2+ year of experience in java/spring boot.
tech stack in my current company is node express.
So should i learn spring boot and do any portfolio/personal projects since i will not have spring boot experience or should i continue with my node js tech stack and focus on dsa/sys design?
(a few top product companies like amazon,microsoft mentions any language but most other fintech and some pbc have spring boot in jd even title is a software engineer)
