MISSING PERSON - Adult MISSING SISTER

MISSING SISTER
Rebecca Lynn Rikard / Rebecca Lynn Lane (on the left)

She was last seen at Phoenix, AZ Rescue Mission in February - a police report has been filed.
She has been in a rough spot but this is not like her to go so long without contact.
She has dreads now.
If anyone has any information or can point me in the right direction I would be forever grateful❤️

Edit to add: we are from the east coast, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Edit: missing person case #26-861769 - Phoenix, AZ

I’m so sorry. I have a cousin in Phoenix who is very active on social media. If you’d like to pass it along to me as well, I’ll ask her if she can please share it.

Oh boy. Ppl go missing here all the time. It's like every episode of Unsolved Mysteries circa (late 80s - early 2000s) featured someone missing last seen in Phoenix/Arizona).

Post in the r/Arizona and r/Phoenix.

I was just gonna say, Arizona and New Mexico sooooo sketchy. I'm praying for her.

Both states have a history of violence and generational trauma (“the Wild West” moniker still rings true to an extent.)

But I think mostly it has to do with the desert being such a desolate place, probably easier to hide a body/remains probably break down faster due to heat and certain animals.

There's a ton of missing people too. Research Midnight Productions.

Sending good thoughts. Many people from AZ make their way to San Diego in the summer to escape the heat, you may want to reach out to organizations out there.

Was she a traveler and moving around a lot or was AZ her regular home base?

Keep the faith.

She’s a traveler! She goes all over. I will post in San Diego subs when my dad sends me the flyer thank you!!!

Maybe try r/vagabond as well. Lots of travelers, train hoppers, etc.

Make sure you’re taking care of yourself. Keep eating and staying hydrated during this stressful time.

This is a really good one

I would def post in the van life, car dweller, urban car life, nomad groups as well. Lots of travelers in those communities especially in Arizona during the winter months

Look up Alpha Project and Fsther Joe’s Villages in San Diego. It’s downtown so if she migrated towards the crowd these would be it.

Please also cross post this to the Phoenix sub (and Maryland / Pennsylvania ones if you think there’s a chance she would have made her way back to the east coast)

Which ones should I post to and what key words should I be using? I tried cross post but I couldn’t find many. Sorry this is my first time actually posting to Reddit. Thank you!!

r/Phoenix and r/Maryland plus are you close to Pittsburgh (r/Pittsburgh) or Philadelphia (r/Philadelphia) since r/Pennsylvania looks to be very political. Each sub has it’s own posting rules but I know a lot of missing person profiles get posted to my local sub (DC). What you’ve shared here is perfect. I sincerely hope you find her soon and safe!

Thank you!!

Probably also post to San Diego , Los Angeles and Orange County since it’s cooler weather than PHX.. and I guess Las Vegas is always a possibility

u/StumpyDowd 2d ago

Perhaps r/Tucson as well just in case?

u/britt_leigh_13 2d ago

Just be sure to double check the rules on the Maryland sub. The mods there are wild lol

Good luck finding your sister 🩷

Please also post to r/SouthJersey as we are right over the bridge from Philly.

Hoping you find her safe. 🙏

I’m serious, try r/zonaents.

u/Linzabee 2d ago

r/Pennsylvania has non-political posts too. I would recommend posting there just in case.

Some counties in PA have their own Reddit subs. Probably same in other states.

I have to say that your sister looks very familiar, please post to the Prescott sub and maybe look in the Verde Valley for her. You could check with the local homeless advocates like CCJ and share her photo with them. That's the only reason I stopped on this post is because I thought I might know her from somewhere! So it was interesting to read that she had landed in Phoenix this year. Northern Arizona, Prescott and the Verde Valley are a lot cooler than the Phoenix area so many people come this way especially during the summer.

I’m in Prescott too and thought she looked familiar. Maybe she came here for treatment? Pretty common esp in the summer months

Commenting to boost the algorithm and say I’m thinking of you and Rebecca and your family, and keeping you in my prayers if that’s ok ❤️

2

u/No_Truck9924 1d ago

Thank you so much💓

3

u/gothphetamine 1d ago

Also, not sure if there’s any subreddits here for long haul truckers and the like, but that could be worth a shot in case she’s been hitchhiking or spotted around transportation areas.

2

u/RatATatTatu 1d ago

She looks really familiar but I’m in Toledo, Ohio.

u/TomohikoAmada 1d ago

No one white person has ever truly pulled off dreads in our time.

1

u/Alternative-Mud860 19h ago

Also post in the vagabond subs! There is a whole culture of people and they usually try and look out for each other. I hope you find her soon ❤️
