Hello everybody, you can call me Coalst. Let's rapid fire through some basics: I'm a 20 year old university student, I'm a transgender woman, and I'm looking for a writing partner! My main medium of writing has been roleplay first and worldbuilding second.

I have been roleplaying on and off for an entire decade now, most of my experience comes from text based video game RP servers, small and big private friend groups, so on and so forth. However, despite my love for writing and roleplay as a whole, life got busy. I just don't have the time to spend 6-8 hours a day just to be in loop with storylines and what people are up to. I've tried writing and worldbuilding on my own time, but it just hasn't hit the spot as much as I'd like it to, and when there's no one else to keep me in check, projects tend to fall off eventually. Even though I haven't had much experience writing/roleplaying one on one, I'm imagining this to be a more manageable way to experience the hobby.

Here are some things I enjoy/I'm looking for:

- I'm looking for something slow brew and low pressure. I'm relatively busy, I will of course make time for roleplay and replies, but there will be certain days or weeks where I'm busy with exams or just social life. So I'd like someone patient, and someone that likes to play out scenarios and stories over the course of months, not days or weeks.

- I like worldbuilding, anyone who wants to nerd out and build something unique, and in turn play OCs and follow a story in that world are more than welcome.

- I'm into dystopian settings. Something about the collapse of society and what regular people live through under it intrigues me to no end. (A small clue here is that I tend to prefer roleplaying things through the lens of the 'average joe in outstanding situations'.) This can range from anything corny and saturated like the zombie genre (TWD, TLOU, DL, 28DL etc.) to nuclear/climate disasters, or totalitarian dystopias. I'm still open to hear you out of course!

- I don't mind things going NSFW, so long as its tasteful, and its not the centerpiece of the story.

Lastly, I'm not an amazing writer. I think I have a decent enough style of writing, vocabulary, and knowledge of the English language to provide a good enough experience. I love getting lost in what I'm writing though and I get really passionate about my storylines. It's been a while, so I'm rusty, but I'm sure when I'm back on my groove I'll most likely be providing long winded descriptions of my character's psyche, their expressions and moves, and the environment around them.

Hey so, I'm not exactly new to the world building and writing thing, but I've never reached out to one of these spaces before and don't know how it works.

I'm interested in almost anything you want, really. It's more about the collaboration and creative aspect for me. Although, I do have some ideas on the back burner if you want to talk about that at some point.

I'm a really relaxed guy and non judgmental. Open to weird, dumb, and absurd ideas as well as serious ones.

Edit: I'm really into sci fi, and I like to write in a psychological way. I focus a lot on what I want a reader to feel, not just what sounds nice.

I’ve been RPing for a while, and I kept running into the same problem: I wanted to write, but I didn’t always have somewhere to go.

Servers would go quiet, die out, or become so wrapped up in OOC drama and activity pressure that RP stopped feeling fun.

So I decided to create Royal Season 21+, adv. lit ; a chill, drama-free Regency-inspired RP server built around the chaos of the Season.

Think balls, romance, friendships, rivalries, gossip, scandals, secrets, and schemes. Your character can fall in love, make enemies, start rumors, uncover secrets, get dragged into someone else’s scandal, or create one of their own.

There’s no giant plot you have to follow. The characters create the stories. I want it to be a place where you can RP when you have the time, step away when you don’t, and always have somewhere to come back to.

I have been writing for years, since I was maybe 14, and have started a heap of stories that I have never really finished. Now, I am trying to see if I can manage to finish one.

I've already written a decent chunk of my story, Prologue, Act1, and Interlude. However, I find myself stuck with Act 2 and how to proceed, and I've realized that what I need, other than actual sleep, is to have someone I can share my work with, as well as my ideas and help me shape those into something that can help me progress through my work.

So, dear reader, I offer you friendship. Do you also have a story you need help with or want to share with? Because I do! And it would be an invaluable thing for me to have someone who I can work and talk to about what I'm doing.

I don’t know if this is the right place for this but I’m starting to get stale on a lot of my favorite characters and storylines and chats - SO please give me any random, unhinged, funny and lighthearted chaos ideas, characters, whatever you have. I’m open to anything from starting a knitting club that doubles as a fight club for the elderly to having my characters go to an adult summer camp run by aliens or become drag queens that perform for cats. I’m just writing for fun so it doesn’t even have to be original. Literally any thought you have feel free to drop here. I would prefer to keep it light, I’m a giant Dolly Parton fan and her passing this week has been a real bummer for me so I’m looking for some whimsy. And yes before anyone says anything I have asked AI to do this but keep getting things that just don’t hit the human emotional bandaid I’m looking for.

I wanted to write a story with Ada Wong from Resident Evil and have her perhaps work for Cobra in G.I. Joe. I also had other ideas including Black Widow from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well. So, a quick disclosure, I’m somebody who previously used AI in my work. I’m seeking human partners now and have opted to not longer use AI in my creative process, but I wanted to be honest about my use because I’m aware not everyone is comfortable with it. I used it in the following areas:

> Logic-checking (though not for solving the issues)

I did not use it in the following:

> Characters
> Structural details (load-bearing details in the narrative, such as a particular book preference for a character who needs it for a certain plot reason later in the story)

You will not be exposed to any AI-generated content while working on this project, but please be aware that it may be necessary to discuss the prior involvement of the technology so as to identify pitfalls of the work.

If you’re comfortable with all of this, welcome! I have a few works I’d like to discuss, but for this post, I’d like to talk about an idea for an animated TV show/series called Mulji Crucible.

Mulji Crucible is an absurdist wartime tragicomedy where 500 people are trauma-bonded to a space heater and there’s a medic who might give you emotional damage while she saves your life. It follows the Twentieth “Immortal” Battalion as an ensemble through the struggles of a brutal hot war taking place in the fictional countries of Muljihyeong and Bal Tepeleri between 2011 and 2012. As supply lines fail and attrition seems inevitable, they fight their hardest not only to triage the damage, but to keep their humanity, too. An empty stomach can mean a lot more than just hunger, after all.

An important thing to note is that this project does contain disturbing content and topics, including war, institutional and psychological abuse, vivid medical and psychological horror, gore, strong language, and sexual references, and intense depictions of panic, dissociation, and other mental health crises. While these topics are not intended to be voyeuristic and I can calibrate with what amount of detail I discuss them, they are structural to the project. If you are uncomfortable with these topics, please take care of yourself and skip this one over.

I have an ~85-page creative bible to help explain the work, but I can also summarize content where needed. This is a long-term project, so a relaxed pace is perfectly fine. Please just keep me informed as to whether you’d like to stay involved, need a break, or are stepping away from the project when appropriate.

Ela é de classe média e se sente muito deslocada entre eles. Ela escreve para o jornal da universidade e, enquanto cobre o programa de hóquei da escola, começa a questionar por que o time masculino recebe muito mais financiamento, atenção e prestígio do que os times femininos.

Um dos maiores doadores da universidade é a família de Killian, o capitão do time de hóquei.

Killian é basicamente o garoto de ouro: charmoso, inteligente, educado, um excelente aluno, respeitado por todos e ele mesmo estudante de Direito. Quando o artigo de Cecilia é censurado pela universidade, ela o envia para um jornal local em vez disso.

O artigo é publicado, e é aí que as coisas começam a mudar.

Killian inicialmente parece perfeitamente calmo com tudo. Mas Cecilia gradualmente percebe que há algo profundamente perturbador sob sua imagem pública perfeita. Ele não está acostumado a ser rejeitado, desafiado ou a perder o controle, e Cecilia parece trazer à tona um lado dele que ninguém mais consegue ver.

A história teria uma atmosfera gótica, de dark academia e psicológica, com um desenvolvimento muito lento da fixação de Killian em Cecilia. Não quero que ele fique obcecado imediatamente ou que seja malvado de forma caricatural. Quero que o leitor perceba lentamente que algo está errado com ele, enquanto ainda pode interpretar seu comportamento de maneiras diferentes.

Como a colaboração funcionaria:

Gostaria que cada escritor escrevesse a POV de seu próprio personagem. Por exemplo, uma pessoa poderia escrever os capítulos de Cecilia enquanto outra escreve os de Killian, alternando entre eles e coordenando a trama para que tudo se conecte.

Estou especialmente interessada em explorar o contraste entre o que Killian pensa que está acontecendo e o que Cecilia realmente vive.

Hey, I'm 39M. I'm a writer/artist and the owner of a small publishing company called Writers vs Artist. I currently have a radio drama in production, and I've been working on a few of my own projects that I want to publish first. This Webtoon is one of them.

I'm looking for another writer who'd be interested in helping me really flesh this story out. I'm not looking for someone I can just hand scenes to and say "write this." I'd rather find somebody I can bounce ideas off of, argue about characters with, figure out what works and what doesn't, and actually build the story together.

I'll be doing the artwork as well as writing, so you wouldn't be carrying the writing side by yourself.

The Webtoon is called How to Destroy a Narcissist.

It's a female-led romantic martial arts comedy with supernatural action and some heavier emotional stuff underneath.

The main character had her confidence pretty much destroyed by a narcissistic guy she became close to in high school. After graduation she becomes withdrawn and has a hard time moving forward with her life.

Then she accidentally discovers two brothers who can basically fight like they're characters out of an old-school martial arts anime.

Her immediate solution is:

"Maybe I can pay them to beat him up."

That doesn't go the way she expects.

Instead, one of the brothers decides he's going to train her.

She starts training because she wants revenge and thinks that if she gets strong enough, eventually she can beat the narcissist herself. But that's not really where the story is going. Over time the training starts pulling her out of her isolation. She makes friends, gains confidence, falls in love, and starts figuring out who she actually is outside of what this guy made her believe about herself.

She never actually beats him up.

The "destroying" part eventually becomes more about destroying the influence he still has over her life.

Tonally I'm going for something fun and energetic. Martial arts, romance, comedy, ridiculous fights, training, attractive characters, supernatural abilities, etc., with real emotional consequences underneath it. Something with the kind of energy older martial arts rom-com anime had rather than making it a super heavy psychological drama.

For working together, we'd mostly communicate through Discord. My availability is pretty open, but that doesn't mean I expect yours to be. I respect people's schedules and personal boundaries.

We'll use Notion for planning, characters, story arcs and ideas, and Google Docs for the actual scripts and panel-by-panel writing. I already have a template that I'll provide.

I'm especially interested in finding someone who likes character writing, romance, comedy and action and doesn't mind throwing ideas around until we find something that works.

I am 26f and currently working on a contemporary romance story since it's an easier genre. Eventually I want to write a high fantasy political dark fairytale series which required too much world building or government and magic system and other such horrifying bullshit so I am not touching that for the foreseeable future!

Most of my writing is LGBT focused and more specifically sapphic themed so I would prefer another woman as my writing buddy but as long as we vibe and you're cool, I don't care.

I'm a beginner writer so my writing and therefore critiquing will reflect that. I do however read A LOT. I'm Willow (it's actually my baby cat name, and my pen alias), 28F. I've been writing pretty consistently for over a year now and have completed two manuscripts (one is being reviewed by beta readers and the other one is shelved in its 4th draft state at the moment). But as many of you can attest, writing long hours can be a lonely experience, as enjoyable as the process if.

Current project: Adult romance fantasy (I'm waiting for the feedback from all the beta readers, but from the ones I have so far I already have plenty to work with ^^'). I write mainly romantic fantasy (though I have ideas in the back burner for contemporary romance and a suspense thriller).
