Advice Question loyalty

Upvotes

hey guys im wondering if loyalty comes naturally when you fall in love with someone
ive never been in love but i have gotten close to it a few times, and every single time ive thought about hooking up with other people. ive never acted upon it obviously, but i still wanna know if this is normal
will it be different when i actually fully fall in love with someone? like will i just naturally not want other people anymore or is that not really how it works?
i really dont want it to be this way. i dislike it when i realize that i wouldnt mind hooking up with other people even though i know it would absolutely destroy me if my partner did the same thing to me. and i dont wanna be hypocritical about it either
i guess im wondering if this is just because ive never actually been in love, or if even when youre genuinely in love with someone, you can still have thoughts about other people and wanting to hook up with them
for people who are actually in love / have been in love for a long time, does loyalty feel natural to you? like do you genuinely just not want anyone else, or is being loyal something you consciously choose even when youre attracted to other people?
i know having thoughts doesnt mean id actually do anything, but i still dont love the fact that my brain goes there in the first place 😭

I grew up and was never a popular kid, but I always wanted to be one. I'm still not popular as an adult and don't care anymore, but I want to know. Did you get free stuff? Get away with things? Have an awesome home life?

Advice Question which subreddits are great for a self-esteem boost?

Upvotes

i’ve been having a really rough past couple of months and don’t have many people to reach out to to help me feel better. what are some good subreddits for things like simple compliments, encouragement, or ones similar to where people pretend to be your mom/dad and tell you they’re proud of you?

thanks in advanced!!

I was sleeping, and my mom stormed into the bedroom kicking my bed to wake me up about what was going on, mostly because 12 days early I had enlisted in the Army, and she wasn’t too happy about it, especially after that day.

Random Question What do you want for your body and memorial after you die?

I don't really want a funeral or Memorial that people have to go to. Just my closest family or whomever I trust with the process. No viewing or anything. Bury me as soon as possible, or cremation. I don't want a casket, just wrapped in cloth or a very simple cheap wooden casket if anything.

I grew up Muslim. Even though I am not religious, I still believe in God. When I think about death now, I am most comfortable with still having an Islamic burial but with some differences. I would like to donate my organs if possible. In Islam we are supposed to be buried as soon as possible, which I like, and the body is wrapped in cotton. I don't know if there is embalming done. I don't want any embalming done for me. I don't want it to be public in any way. If there is a prayer, they can just do it with whoever is present and family and friends that are able to show up, but no giant gathering.

I just prefer to go quietly. I don't want people to look at my lifeless body. I am alive my whole life for people to "show up" if they want to. Like, I'm gone now... Byeee!

Also, funerals can be expensive, so I want to spend the least amount of money possible.

How do you feel about funerals and what happens to your body after you die?
