Reviews on big brand sites
A little random thing I noticed recently. Iāve bought parts from TC bros, used the product , gave the pros and cons, basically left a honest review about a oil tank venting issue design (3/5 stars), checked back a couple months later review deleted. Only reviews 5/5 praising the product. Whatever⦠didnāt think too much about it
Checked a different site TA, that my homie left a review, basically noting their hardtail rails werenāt square, Iād agree with that statement as I seen it myself. Just checked again, review deleted 5/5 stars on product.
Idk I think itās BS the way they are going about thisā¦. I wouldnāt have bought certain products if I knew of the problems with them, I was able to modify everything to work in the end, but for someone who doesnāt have the knowledge to fix it, kinda sucks

Was I burned?
galleryI bought this 84 Evo motor from a shop a few months ago and they told me it had completely been rebuilt. I was doing some work and noticed there was only three raggedy bolts in the cover out of the six. Not sure who only puts three bolts in on a rebuild, but who knows. Anyway, I noticed inside the bottom bolt holes there is some oil in there.
Do I just order new bolts and go with it or is this something I should take apart and rebuild?

Ol knuckle.
Thinking about cutting the apes and narrowing them to match the outer width of the fork tubes.

Electrical Question
Hi, looking for some help on a wiring issue Iām having on an old ironhead. I have a Compufire 20100 ignition (been installed on this bike for a long time before I got it. Long story short, have to rewire the bike, as some wiring had been butchered. The ignition has 4 wires, red, black and two white. I know where the red and black go, not sure about the white ones. Everything I have tried to research shows pink/green wires, or a single white wire. Anybody able to offer any insight?

Newbie to group
Hey there, this is my 1986(sorta) chopper that was originally put together by pat kennedy out of Long Beach and then Arizona. Itās been stored at a buddyās in California and Iām finally bringing it home here to Vegas. I found a chopper place here in town that does DMV stuff and he told me that all the compliance stuff has to be on it to get title transferred and registered. Fender, turn signals, mirrors etc. They rent you a kit that they install and after you get registered they take it back off and you go on your way. You guys ever hear about or do anything like this?

Belt drive
For those who have used a belt for their hardtail Sportster, how did you set the tension for the belt? How much deflection? Same amount as factory?

how to re radius fender
I already saw lowbrows post using 2x4s to shrink the radius. But Iāve yet to find a solution to increase the radius. I have a crown in the middle of the fender when each end of the fender is touching the tire. Would clamping it be a solution? I thought Iād put it in a vice and clamp it that way but my vice jaws arenāt wide enough to do it. I donāt have a bunch of fancy tools!

What do we think this Frankenstein frame is?
galleryI just bought this obviously modified rolling frame. Right side drive. No VIN no title. Previous owner said it had an Evo engine in it but I donāt know whether or not to believe him. Debating hard tailing it but Iām new to this and wouldnāt know enough yet to buy the right kit. Any information or guesses welcomed

Chopper tank help
I have two questions in the first question is, my tank says it accepts a 1/4 petcock so I purchased a 1/4 petcock and I can only get it to go in like 3 threads without completely cranking down on it.
The next question is the barb on the petcock is a 5/16 and my CV takes a 1/4. Could I use a 1/4 fuel line or should I change the petcock/cv elbow?

How to run old mags on evo sportster?
gallery03 XL1200C
Hello everyone, might be overthinking it a bit but I finally got my hands on some mag wheels for a steal. Chrome, bearings, and seals will come out prior to powder so their current condition isnāt too concerning.
This setup came off of an older bike, and I want to run them on my evo (sportster) chopper. My question is do I bore the axle to run modern closed bearings, do I run the conversion kit, or can I run timken bearings on a factory 3/4 axle? This is my first time and Iām having trouble finding forums/info trails on the internet on whatās best.
Added a photo of the āconversionā kit, old timken to newer sealed setup. Never heard of that until today, anyone running it?
I appreciate any help, thanks šš»

Anybody have pics of flanders 0 or 8 bars on post risers?
I have some Flanders bars on my 1946 flathead and it looks awesome, I also have a newer Kawasaki Vulcan and I was thinking about putting Flanders bars on it but they don't have risers where they come out of the side of the triple clamps, and I only have holes for post risers. Does anybody have any pictures of anybody doing this, I'm trying to figure out if it would look bizarre with the risers being so close together instead of like 10 in apart like how a Harley is?
