I am pretty excited. I just finished charging it and it’s ready to go test, it’s only 4 o’clock so now I have to sit here and stare at it for a couple hours. Maybe a few hours, I want it to be as dark as can be.

Streamlight Stylus Pro found at work with USB C charge port. Went through an industrial washer and dryer and still kickin. Was super surprised to see a USB C charge on it! Score. Idk if it had this much wear from whoever lost it or if the washer and dryer expedited that. Looks kinda cool though.

What are going to be good flashlights for in house use if the power goes out for an extended period of time? I'm trying to prepare in case theres an extended blackout emergency

FW3S is probably the most beautiful light in my collection. When I need a quick light (most of the time it is fixing something), flipmate is the first one I grab. It has incredible strong magnet and very flexible, durable hinge.

Many people are probably wondering the same thing I am: how exactly does their business work nowadays, when even some of the cheapest flashlights you can find in a store are “just as good”?

From what I understand, their reputation came from the fact that they were/are basically the G-Shock of the watch world — extremely durable and built to last. They also sell spare parts and accessories for their flashlights, which is a big plus.

Another major contradiction is that many of their flashlights are only IPX4-rated, which doesn’t look particularly impressive on paper when other brands offer flashlights that can actually be fully submerged in water.

I’m not from the US, so I’m wondering: are Maglites still sold in regular, well-stocked stores, or have they basically become an online-only brand?

It’s a really contradictory brand, but apparently the business model still works, because they’re still selling flashlights.

As soon as I saw it for sale I ordered this 6800mAh beast from Vapcell, currently testting it's capacity so will post back with result.

It seems IF23 is completely replaced by IF23 Pro which I dislike because of rotary button, missed a chance to buy another one as reserve so will have to take extra care of it ❤️

1: How does the build quality and durability of Hank's flashlights compare to Convoy products? Which are more durable?

2: Why does Hank split his flashlight business into two separate brands, Emisar and Noctigon? Is there a difference between the flashlights sold by both brands?

3: Does Hank offer emitters that have higher CRI than the highest CRI emitter available from Convoy (seems to be the B35AM)?

4: Are there any rosy emitters that Hank offers? Or rosy emitters from Convoy?

Just bought the Ti stonewashed head for my patina'd copper Dawn

I haven't been this impressed by a light for some time and there is a lack of photos of this light on the internet. It weighs 414g and I removed the clip, which makes it feel much better in hand. This is the 519A version.

The silver plating should wear eventually and it will develop a nice patina.

I managed to record the sound. Now the flashlight no longer works. I contacted support.

It comes with a "super bright" LED built in.

Makes me think a bit of my Garmin Instinct watch with built in LED. It's not super bright and eats through the tiny battery but man I use it a lot!

Why did my NiMH AA grow? These two are in both of my daughter's T3's. We are going camping, so I went to charge them up and noticed one wouldn't slide into the charger. Is this cell unsafe/toasted? If so I'm very glad this wasn't a lithium cell, I'm pretty diligent about fixing any rips in the skin on those though. Btw these are the Amazon basics from back when they were rebranded enloops. Made in Japan.

I’ve been trying to understand the appeal of extreme “rosy” tints. And I’m partial to slightly negative DUV.

But the extreme rosy beamshots I see just scream magenta shift to my color grading eyes.

Anyone else in photography and color grading that can weigh in on this?

So I have an MDC with the 5700k sst-20 that was just a tad too green. Kinda gave me a headache. I asked in her about minus green filters and was put in touch with Boaz on Budgetlightforums. He helped me pick which filters to try and they came in today. Made a WORLD of a difference and was able to get a few different filters for what a whole sheet of one would cost me otherwise. The tall light is the MDC next to a DeDomed 519a 4000k. First is the 1/2 minus green second is the darkest amber filter. Almost makes it closer to 3000k. Camera was set to 5000k

Clone G2X Pro?

Purchased a G2X Pro on eBay.
Asked the seller if it’s authentic. Response was yes.
I compared to my genuine G2X Pro. Differences in weight, bezel, and light color. Also the chip inside the light body is different. This is a model that has 600 lumens laser etched. Versus my genuine 600 lumen does not. Mine may be an older style. Also, the tail cap clicks feel different. For those that have a G2X pro with a laser etched marking, can you look into the light body and tell me if chip board looks like mine?
