Rant Youtuber(s)….
From my previous posts, its clear I really don’t like aerosoft in the MSFS era. I mean this new a330neo is still so so far from what it should be, but it’s significantly better than the a330ceo (which doesn’t say much…)
So when simblitz makes a video calling it even worse.. I mean I figured he knew some stuff behind the scenes or something… nope. He literally says he hasn’t flown it much, can’t talk about system depth and he just quickly wanted to release the video. I’m sorry what?
I understand you have to click bait your titles but maybe drop the ai script… It makes me angry because where else can we get information on aircraft’s if not the youtubers.. but they already make their mind up even before releasing it..
Im not defending aerosoft.. the NEO, which I bought I tried, isn’t great, but it’s not trying to be that either, its just okay.. gets you from a to b but still misses some major things like derated climb, step climbs and pilot defined waypoints. But it is much better then the CEO which basically couldn’t even get you from a to b…
If you want I can link the video but I don’t want to be the reason he gets more views…

Question What does Navigraph offer that Foreflight doesn't?
I'm a real world pilot, and I simply use FS2FF to connect my iPad to my simulator. Does Navigraph do anything for me that I haven't solved by using my existing Foreflight subscription?

Flight Simulator 2024 My smoothest Landing ever!
24fpm, in an a320 too of all things. Really happy considering just a month ago I barely knew how to execute an ILS approach
And yes, before you say it I am aware its not 'realistic' or deemed safe but I still touched the landing zones where I was supposed too.

Sim Hardware Guys i have a question
Guys, as a beginner DCS player, I’d like to get some thoughts about sim hardwares. Do you guys think the Logitech G X56 would be sufficient for playing DCS?

Flight Simulator 2024 Current state of sayintentions.ai
I tried SayIntentions.ai over a year ago and wasn’t very impressed at the time. For those using it today, how good and realistic is it now?
I mainly fly IFR in Scandinavia, including the Faroe Islands and the Baltics. Does SayIntentions feel close to real ATC, and is it worth using for serious IFR flying?
I’ve watched some YouTube videos and know there’s a 24-hour trial, but I’d love to hear your experiences before trying it again.

Flight Simulator 2024 iniBuilds A340 Reduced Cabin Window Tint Mod
Method originally discovered by user Slxxh, I made this mod in order to get rid of the default cabin window tint in the A340-300 by iniBuilds which is often regarded as too dark and unrealistic.
It is still a bit dark to my liking, but am looking for ways to make it even less tinted. Link to the addon listed below. Feedback is greatly appreciated!

Question Dev idea:A realistic en-route ATC game
Hi everyone!
As an experienced enroute ATCO, I’m thinking about making an air traffic control game for the en-route environment (leveraging the wonders of AI). Don't think of it as some half-baked idea,I'm talking about gameplay mechanics built on references like Doc 4444, compliant with real traffic data and airspaces, standart phraseology and featuring custom-designed scenarios.
Designing a training or a scenario takes a ton of effort. On the other hand, I wonder if people would actually find this interesting? What do you think? Would you play a game like this with a promise of pure realism?
Thanks for the replies!

Flight Simulator 2024 Thick clouds messing with the terrain radar?
On approach to VHHH07C I was hit with a terrain warning that wouldn’t shut up, amid very ominous weather, with thick clouds and 60kts gusts. Could it be that the clouds were so thick, the terrain radar started seeing it as a landmass?

Flight Simulator 2024 Only good FPS in fenix aircraft
I have a strange problem.
When I load up the Fenix A320 in MSFS24 I get good FPS, mostly 80 with DLSS on. That's what I mostly play, but I would like to try some GA flying as well. When I select the default Diamond of Cessna planes, and move to the cockpit view, the sim stutters a lot. It looks like the sim hangs and is unresponsive. It's not playable like this. This happens in career and free flight modes.
When I exit out of the cockpit and use 3rd person camera view all is normal again??
Anyone encountered something like this?
My specs: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, RTX4070, 64 GB

Flight Simulator 2024 Incredible FOGYYYYY !
Flying the Lufthansa Cargo 777F from Frankfurt into Uruguay for the very first time, I encountered the lowest-visibility weather(only 200m) I've seen in all my simflight hours. I could barely see a thing out of the 777

Flight Simulator 2024 Short Field Shenanigans
Learning the limitations of the mighty 707, here I'm experimenting with a ~4600 ft runway. I had about 25% fuel and used water injection for takeoff. Landed twice and used every foot of the runway. Airport is MKBS - Ian Fleming International, Jamaica

The screenshots were taken in HDR, so they may look a bit washed out. You can easily guess which ones have DLSS 5.0 enabled. (:

Flight Simulator 2024 StrataWX + MSFS2024 is quite interesting.
Im really enjoying StrataWX in MSFS2024, it seems more interesting to me than Asobo's real-time weather ;)

Question Most realistic/usable C172 - Asobo? Am I missing something?
TIA for any guidance or firsthand experience.
I’m working on my instrument rating in two 1970s-era C172M with steam gauges and either a GNS 530 or GTN 650. I’ve included photos of one (GTN and G5s) and my home simulator setup for reference.
I’m looking for the most realistic C172 available (or settings) for MSFS 2024 or X-Plane 12, particularly for hand-flying, speeds, handling, and IFR proficiency work.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
MSFS 2024
- Asobo C172 Basic: My favorite so far. The speeds are spot-on, and it integrates seamlessly with my hardware. My only minor nit is that the left-turning tendency isn’t as pronounced as in the real aircraft.
- Bagolu C172M: Great modeling and visuals, but it seems a little fast. It has also been very buggy when using GNS 530 or TDS GTN 750 pop-outs.
X-Plane 12
- Default Laminar C172: My second favorite, although the controls, especially the ailerons, feel a little more sensitive than the real airplane. During IFR flying, I often find myself wanting to engage the autopilot to avoid constantly chasing headings.
- AirfoilLabs C172 NG Analog: Probably my third choice. I’m still tinkering with it to get all my hardware working correctly, and roughly every other flight ends in a CTD.
Hardware setup
High-end PC with an RTX 4070 Ti and no general performance issues; FlightSimBuilder dual G1000 units and GNS 530; mini touchscreen for auxiliary panels and Air Manager; Honeycombs (and also a PFC Cirrus force-feedback yoke) and Thrustmaster TPR pedals.
What are other instrument students or real-world C172 pilots using? Is there another steam-gauge C172 I should try, or are there settings or modifications that would improve one of these?
My priorities are realistic hand-flying, accurate performance, reliable avionics pop-outs, and good hardware integration, not necessarily the prettiest visuals.
Thanks!
