According to a leaked document on the source, Google was planning to include a better and newer PowerVR E series GPU for the Tensor G6. The article which mainly explains the omission of MTE also has a leaked document with the EXT GPU listed in it.

Google confirms Pixel 11 video static noise bug, promises a fix is coming.

People outside Pixel users sometimes claims they don't age well because of the Tensor chips, but that kind of armchair rant is of poor interest. You people who live with (without disrespect) older Pixels, tell the world about your experience of Pixels aging!

I recently upgraded from a Pixel 9 Pro to a Pixel 11 Pro primarily because of poor network reception on the former. I've found that the network reception on the Pixel 11 Pro is significantly better. Previously, I barely had any network signal inside my house, but now I even get 5G with decent speeds. The Wi-Fi connection is also much more stable now. For anyone considering upgrading from the 9 Pro due to similar issues, I'd say it's worth it.

I’ve been deep in the Apple ecosystem for about 10 years now, but the new Google Pixel 11 Pro has really caught my attention. Google seems to be pushing way more innovative features lately, and honestly, Gemini feels light-years ahead of Apple Intelligence. (which does not work in Bulgaria, Gemini does however work and it works extremely well)

That said, I still have a built-in fear that Google’s polish, hardware reliability, and overall ecosystem seamlessness won't quite match what I'm used to with Apple.

Full transparency: A couple of years ago, I bought the Pixel 9 Pro to test the waters. At the time, I just couldn't get used to the UI/menu styling—it felt unappealing compared to iOS, and I ended up returning it. But with how impressive the 11 Pro looks and how smart Gemini has become, I'm seriously tempted again.

I'd love to hear from people who have been in a similar boat:

1. For those who moved from a long-term Apple setup to Google: How was the transition? Did you regret giving up Apple’s ecosystem integration (iMessage, AirDrop, Watch/Mac pairing, etc.)?

2. Did anyone try switching, give up, and return to Apple? If so, what was the dealbreaker for you?

3. Did the UI/software experience eventually grow on you, or does iOS still hold the crown for overall smoothness and aesthetics?

I wanted to share some thoughts after reading/watching quite a few reviews about the new Pixels.

The new Pixel 11 is absolutely stunning. It also runs smoothly and it's really easy to use. For those who don't like it because other brands offer better hardware... go ahead and try to find something similar to the Pixels (spoiler: you won't, there's nothing like it).

From a price perspective... yes, they're expensive, and personally I would never buy a phone for 1199€. But here's the thing: with Google you can actually get the devices with incredible discounts. By trading in my Pixel 8 Pro, I got the new Pixel 11 Pro for 524€ (though I'd have loved one of those even bigger discounts I didn't manage to get).

After many years of using many different phones, I think it all comes down to this question: do you like it? If the answer is yes, go for it. If the answer is no, keep looking.

A lot of Pixel listing on Ebay have phones with screen burn. These include the 9, 9a, and 9 pro as well as the 10, 10a ,and 10 pro. Is this problem prevalent?

i really hope google brings this to older pixels this is literally everything we've been asking for. The stock camera image processing is so bad

I decided to upgrade from the Google Pixel 8 Pro because I was having horrible battery issues, over heating , bluetooth and wifi connectivity issues, pretty much every hardware issue you can imagine. Now I am having wifi connectivity issues on the 11 Pro. After only a few days of use .

I love Pixel's software, clean pure android and the trade in bonuses have kept me locked in the this ecosystem for nearly 8 years now

But I'm nearing my breaking point every pixel I've owned has had some sort of issue

(besides my glorious pixel 3 XL, I mourn you to this day)

Newer Pixel 9a user and this is something I held off on during initial setup then forgot about. It's now popping up for me to enable when I open phone screen. Any problems with it? I've searched a bit but don't see a lot about it so thought I'd ask here.

I need to get notifications from the Procare app to keep updated on my daughter's status at daycare and messages from the teachers. I'm not getting any of the notifications and this app in particular is important. Notifications are turned on both in the app and in my phone settings for the app, I had no issues with it on my last phone (pixel 6). I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and restarting my phone. I turned off battery optimization. All other app notifications are working. Help!

Welcome to the Battery Megathread, where you can find information and get assistance with any battery-related issues your Pixel might be facing. All battery-related posts made outside this megathread will be removed.

Before you make a comment, try these troubleshooting tips:

Stay up to date with the latest version of Android and your apps.

Although some people may argue that a system update ruined their battery life (and occasionally this is the cause), it's always a good idea to make sure you device is running the latest version of Android (check anytime in Settings > System > Advanced > System update > Check for update). Security patches and major updates bring fixes not only for battery-draining bugs, but also protection against viruses and malware that may be stealing your charge, or worse. Individual app updates may also provide performance improvements to your battery.

Check for power-hungry apps.

Despite battery-saving features like Doze, some apps may still be able to drain away your charge undetected. Try the following steps to identify any power-hungry apps.

• Make sure that the "Apps consuming battery" notification is enabled, and wait a few minutes to see if it appears. (Find the toggle in Settings > Apps & notifications > See all ___ apps > More options (the triple dot) > Show system > Android system > Notifications > Other)
• Check the battery usage of your apps in Settings > Battery > More options (the triple dot) > Battery usage. Remember that battery life may be reduced with usage of certain features (location, Bluetooth, etc.) and apps (gaming, video, etc.).
• Turn on battery optimizations for all apps, (Under Settings > Apps & notifications > Advanced > Special app access > Battery optimization, and tap each app to change it to Optimize), and also enable Adaptive Battery, which limits rarely used apps (Under Settings > Battery > Adaptive Battery).
• Force stop or uninstall any new apps and monitor battery life. (You can do this by going into Settings > search for appName & select appName)
• Temporarily disable all installed apps with Safe Mode, to see if an existing/updated app is the problem. (Enter Safe Mode by pressing & holding the power button, and then pressing and holding Restart, and finally tapping OK. To exit Safe Mode, restart your phone as normal. You may have to sign into some apps again.) If your battery life improves, use the aforementioned methods on older apps.

Investigate battery intensive features.

Some functions on you phone may use more power than you expect, especially in different scenarios. Take a look at this list for a few possibilities:

• Bluetooth is notorious for its high-energy usage, especially when actively transferring data. Turn it off if it's not needed, and if you do, consider looking for Bluetooth Low Energy devices, which need much less power.
• Location also uses quite a bit in order to pinpoint your position. Turn off Wifi/Cellular data/Bluetooth location accuracy (Settings > Security and Location > Location > Advanced > Battery saving > Google Location Accuracy) or turn Location off completely.
• Cellular can also drain your battery when the signal is weak. At these times, more electricity is needed to stay connected, no matter if you're in the forest or underground. If you don't require a cellular connection (for example, if you have Wifi Calling), put your phone into Airplane mode and re-enable Wifi/Bluetooth if needed.

Contact Google Support.

Google's dedicated Pixel support team may be able to help diagnose and fix your issue. Find them in Settings > Tips & Support, or just ask your Google Assistant "troubleshoot my battery".

IF ALL ELSE FAILS, factory reset your phone.

Sometimes wiping your phone is all that's needed to bring your battery back to life. Google Drive and Google Photos do a decent job with keeping your apps and data (check in Settings > Google > Backup > Back up now and check Google Photos > sidebar (the three lines) > Settings > Backup and sync), but please personally make sure that everything is backed up to something off your phone. To wipe your phone, follow the steps here.

First off they're buried deep deep in the settings for you to even enable them, then the only one I want, the charging bar, shows less info than it normally would, and if you get notifications it doesn't take off the screen saver or actually notify you of them.

This is my 5th Pixel and my first foldable. Scored a 15% off + $350 google store credit + 10% store credit back, so my effective price after trade in came to around $500!

I came from a Pixel 9 Pro XL, so most of my comparisons below are against that phone. Sharing my honest take since I found the existing reviews here pretty useful before buying.

Build and first impressions

Really well built phone. It felt great in the hand right out of the box. I put on a Spigen Pro Armor case and honestly I am not loving it. The phone feels much better naked and the case takes away a lot of what makes it nice to hold. Still deciding whether to keep it on.

The hinge feels very sturdy. It is actually tough to open and needs a bit of force, which I take as a good sign for long term durability rather than a complaint. Overall the build quality feels solid and the phone feels like it can take some abuse.

Thickness

This surprised me. When it is closed and I am using the outer screen, it does not feel thick at all. It just feels like a normal phone. I expected the classic foldable brick feeling and it is not there.

Outer screen

This is my biggest disappointment. The outer display feels subpar compared to my 9 Pro XL. Colors skew noticeably warmer (not sure if that is an 11 series thing or specific to the Fold) and side by side I just prefer the old display. I even double checked whether this has the Super Actua panel, and it does, but it is noticeably worse to my eyes.

Inner screen

The star of the show. This is what makes the phone. It is really fun to use and I actually feel more productive on it. Apps like Slack and Confluence feel great on the big screen and I find myself reaching for it for work stuff way more than I expected. If you are on the fence about a foldable, this is the reason to do it.

Speakers

They are NOT loud. My kids like to listen to a bedtime story after we finish reading their books (I generate the stories with Gemini or Claude), and the speakers feel noticeably weak compared to the 9 Pro XL. Not a dealbreaker but definitely a step back.

Battery

Okay. Not great, not terrible. It gets me through the day but I would not call it a strong point.

Camera

Feels very similar to the 9 Pro XL for regular shots. Zoom is worse, which I expected given the hardware constraints, but otherwise the photos look really good. No complaints outside of zoom.

Software

Buttery smooth. Zero issues so far, no bugs, no hiccups switching between screens. Google clearly has the software side dialed in.

TL;DR

- Build and hinge: excellent, feels durable

- Does not feel thick closed

- Outer screen: worse than the 9 Pro XL, warmer colors

- Inner screen: amazing, the whole reason to buy this

- Speakers: weak

- Battery: fine

- Camera: on par except zoom

- Software: flawless so far

Happy to answer questions if anyone is deciding between this and the regular 11 Pro XL.

Since today I've had to press the up and power button for almost a minute to get it back to working... Had to do it 4 times in 10 minutes.... Is this something Google will honor credit towards getting a replacement. This is not sustainable... Device is a 8 pro.

Has anyone ever overcome this?

Can't wait to get started. I'm coming from a Z flip 6, which is probably my favourite phone of all time. Had to switch due to actually needing a good camera, something which was not important to me at before.

I almost got the XL version at 512gb, but reality checked myself and got the non XL 256 gb. I'm happy with that decision (and the money saved)

After hearing the horror stories. I carefully packed and filmed everything before sending my 8pro to google. Today, I got the notification that it matches the estimated value. And the value will be credited in 3 to 12 days. Happy to see this, now waiting for them to credit the amount.

Hello,

Just got a Pixel 10a and am struggling with the transfer process. Scan for nearby devices, bluetooth, and wifi are all on both both; mobile data is off for the A32.

Whenever I scan the QR code or get to that screen, the option to connect to the pixel pops up and says "Connecting to device (this might take a while)"

But then, after half a minute or so, it says "Something went wrong. There was a problem connecting to your other device."

Can't find a solution for this in support threads on google or even on reddit, which is mystifying. Any ideas? Don't seem to be able to gain access to the wired transfer backup either.

What's the most effective way to clean it? Can I just use a wet cloth?
