I love action figures so much. Finally able to add these to the collection.

Long time, no collection update! In the spirit of showing off our character-specific shrines, here’s my Rossiu wall! It’s a mix of official and fanmade merch (though honestly he hardly has any official merch so the majority of this is fanmade XD) Plus I’ve got the rest of my Gurren Lagann collection! I’ll update next year too. I’ve already got a couple things coming in the mail AND I have a Lazengann model kit I have yet to build. So exciting!

Some highlights:
- I got my Adai holy book and one of my Rossiu posters signed by Rossiu’s English VA, Johnny Yong Bosch! I’ve met him twice now!
- I have four of those acrylic Rossiu standees (one is in my ita bag).
- I’ve got kinon merch up here too because she’s soooo me. I, too, would strap myself to a bomb for Rossiu. Ahem, anyways.
- the card I got from u/arohk is on my ita bag, framed and decorated! The artbook I got from her is on my shelf! (Thank you again!!)
- You’ll also notice I’ve printed out some selfship art and put it on the left. Big shoutout to all my friends who drew us <3 (Pyx + Rossiu is OTP for sureee) Even some of the non-selfship drawings up here were painted/sketched by my friends (love y’alll!)
- I have three Rossiu plushies. Two were made by a friend and one I made myself!

And of course, the big flag I got printed by a custom print company. It’s just too good.

Oof, that one was a cringer! But you know what? Gotta be impressed at Dayakka, once again! Even against Simon himself, he got some votes! I pre-ordered the AllTheAnime UK release of the Gurren Lagann movies over a month ago when a friend told me about them. I own the anime three times and the movies three times across standard editions, limited editions, and the Blu-Ray collection. I don't own the movies in dub yet though and I didn't really like how Aniplex and Crunchyroll did the US collection and how expensive it is. Heard about this version though and pre ordered it. It was cheaper and it had the movies, a slipcover the the US version should had have, and two art cards. Adding this I now have the anime and the movies dub across multiple versions. So worth it.

I don't know NOTHING about Gurren-Lagann, but I saw an edit of the series' eyecatches/bumpers with Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli... and Yoko is kinda the hot chick, y'know?

I recently moved and finally got the chance to see (almost) my whole collection in one place and man, its more than i thought. Viral is my favorite character of all time, he found me when i needed him most (ty pyxellated for telling me to watch gurren) and ive been obsessed ever since.

I come before the r/gurrenlagann subreddit today because the One Piece powerscaling community apparently wants smoke coming from the magma daddy Sakazuki. Someone on r/OnePieceScaling basically posted: Akainu > the entire Gurren Lagann verse. I wish I were exaggerating.

I'm actually someone who has defended Akainu agenda before, which is why I felt obligated to perform damage control. Sakazuki is extremely powerful within One Piece. But we're apparently sending the magma Fleet Admiral to solo Gurren Lagann now.

And somehow the discussion has reached: "No Haki = no damage, therefore Akainu slams." Hear me out and disregard the heavy hitters of this verse like Lordgenome or even Anti-Spiral for a moment. I have a much more basic question that needs to be asked: How does Akainu get to space?

Even if I grant the most ridiculously favorable interpretation possible and assume that absolutely nothing in TTGL can directly bypass his Logia defenses and damage his actual body without One Piece's Armament Haki, that doesn't give Akainu these much-needed requirements:

- The ability to breathe in space

- Interstellar transportation

- Cosmic attack range

- The ability to pursue enemies across astronomical distances

- Anything remotely approaching the scale TTGL eventually operates on

Let's say a sufficiently powerful physical attack destroys the planet Akainu is standing on, but Akainu himself magically survives because "no Haki." Well, we now have a very angry magma man floating in space.

Armament Haki isn't putting oxygen in his lungs. Observation Haki isn't transporting him across the cosmos. Conqueror's Haki isn't turning him into a faster-than-light spacecraft. And this is before we even get into the truly ridiculous endgame stuff involving the Anti-Spiral and Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann!

So I'm bringing this before the actual Gurren Lagann community: How far does Akainu realistically get in the TTGL verse? The way I see it from the One Piece side of this discussion, I'm just trying to stop my fellow Akainu fans from putting this man into matchups where he can't even reach the battlefield.

This isn't Akainu upscale. This is an execution. We all agree with this, right?

Day 20, finally!

Hey all! Sorry for the sudden delay! I actually ended up hospitalized earlier this week, and couldn't post. But! I'm home now, and recovering. :) No need to worry. We will continue until this event is done! I know we're a bit behind overall. September's event will be starting a bit late as a result, so I've set it up to be very easy to make up for it! I think you will all enjoy it very much, as it will be different and interesting! Anyway, announcement over!

Old Koko has defeated Team Gurren's mad bomber! Gasp! I truly had no idea which way it would go. For most of the voting period, Artenboro and Old Koko were neck and neck! But in the end, the old man fans pulled through! I have to step back and admire us, because I feel like not too many fandoms would send an Old Koko character to tier 3! :) I love that. We judge character in this house, not age! And if you've got the Spiral Power heart, you win!

Today is a classic villain vs. Hero situation! There are quite a lot of fans for both camps, so let's see what happens when a pigmole goes up against a scorpion! Who do you think should move up in the Tournament of Champions?

KING KITTAN!

Gurren Lagaan as we all know it is one of the best shows to ever seen the Sunnyside of this very world. And it has many core values and themes that most people should have, the embodiment of determination and hope is what everyone in this world needs, they need the feeling of anything can happen and no matter what they will come out of it on the right side. It doesn't matter if you wake up on the wrong side of bed in the morning. You need that determination and hope that this show has, and you ask where to find it. It's inside you, you just need to find it. I was in a bad spot when I watched this show, I was scared of moving on, I didn't want to grow up, I was scared from the world. And then one night at around 3 am, I watched the first episode. The next week and a half was amazing, me and my best friend love this show. We can say the entire end fight script, we cosplay for the show, we praise the show, and we try to bring in the next generation of people to watch it. 1 year later and I'm doing just fine. I've watched the show over 10 times, whenever I'm down in the dumps, scared on a test, feeling nothing but death and despair, I think to my self and hold my core drill, "this is my universe and nothing can change that". People think it's funny when I say Gurren Lagaan isn't a show, it's a lifestyle. And I tell them, the show is what everyone needs to have and if you can grab it and use it, your life will be 100 times better than it was, you need to evolve beyond the person you were a minute before. You have to kick logic out and do the impossible. So that's what Gurren Lagaan is, not a show, a lifestyle.
