NATURE Tigers are solitary creatures that value personal space, while lions are social and clingy, often encroaching onto the tiger's very space.

Funniest part to me is that they're close enough that the tiger can read the lion's body language and realize it's friendly.  So the tiger reacts with annoyance but not anger or fear.

31

u/greenskinmarch Jul 11 '26

Dogs and lions are both pack animals. We just call lion packs "prides" because we think they're special.

10

u/Opening-Disaster-519 Jul 11 '26

Yea that definitely makes since. I guess you could say the same about Orcas, Cheetahs, Dolphins, Hyenas, Meerkats, Chimps etc. I guess they're all just special too.

Lion:

"That's a really nice space you have there.... be a real shame if something were to happen to it!!" 😆

33

u/Acidyo Jul 11 '26

They're basically like cats and dogs.

74

u/IneffableOpinion Jul 11 '26

My cat has that same look whenever the dog is being stupid. Looks directly at me like Jim in The Office

Introverts vs extroverts

17

u/bill-smith Jul 11 '26

No, they're basically like cats and cats. Not all cats are clingy, but I assure you that cats value their personal space and they do not give a crap about your personal space.

3

u/StepComplete1 Jul 11 '26

Or introverts and extroverts.

Every introvert has a friend who isn't one.

361

u/thenameofapet Jul 11 '26

That’s clearly not true. I’m an introvert and I have no friends.

138

u/bomilk19 Jul 11 '26

I’d be your friend, but I’m also an introvert.

61

u/EarlyXplorerStuds209 Jul 11 '26

I’m also an introvert but I’ll pretend to be your extrovert friend. But sadly I can only do it behind closed doors.

21

u/Bazzness Jul 11 '26

As an introvert my best friend is an extrovert and she exhausts me...but she's also the best and makes me enjoy going out, I'd probably stay alone inside all the time without her.

(and yes, she's the one who adopted me, of course)

4

u/catim Jul 11 '26

And thank goodness for that; I don't know what would become of us if they stopped adopting us.

89

u/cookiesarenomnom Jul 11 '26

I have a cat who is both at the same time. He spends all day rubbing up against my legs. Like the second I come home he runs up to me to rub up all on me. Then the second I pet him he's like, WHO SAID YOU COULD TOUCH ME?!

26

u/JuicyCactus85 Jul 12 '26

" Pet me human!" Pets "With your eyes you freak!"

18

u/SawahSmolPumpkin Jul 11 '26

My cat is normally sweet, but sometimes she'll stare at me and scream for my attention at the top of her lungs, then get mad when I try to pet her. I'm like girl what do you want???

9

u/Total_Ad_511 Jul 11 '26

145

A ranger at a lion conservation park said lions are very dumb with tiny attention spans. We were told to put a stick in their mouth if they get cranky, because they will be so distracted by the stick they forget they wanted to eat you

93

u/v21v Jul 11 '26

Ah, so they are part of the r/oneorangebraincell family!

18

u/IneffableOpinion Jul 11 '26

The ranger let us pet a well-fed juvenile but warned us not to pet it like a cat. He said they hate that and will murder you. He told us to slap them like a horse. You can definitely tell how strong they are because those muscles are huge
