I’ve never liked Pittsburgh. Between the amount of Steelers fans we always seem to have in Charlotte, the T.J. Watt hit on Cam, and all the weird connections between these two teams over the years, this matchup has always felt a little different to me.

Tepper obviously came from the Steelers organization, and for years Carolina and Pittsburgh basically had their own little preseason tradition playing each other every year.

Went through their offseason, draft, coaching staff, projected starters, players Panthers fans should know, the history between the teams and the matchups I’m watching in Week 16.

Edit: Okay Alex somewhat redeemed himself with his question to Okereke and about him being Walter Payton man of the year nominee and if he was going to do any work with the boys girls club in charlotte…but Alex still has a long ways to go!

I know there are lots of different ways to grade or rank performance, but I’m curious what everyone thinks we have, going into the first game considering all the different injuries and changes, compared to all the other teams? Top 10? Top 15? Top 20? Top 25? Other? I encourage you to share why you pick the rank you pick. I personally think this is the single biggest determination of our season.

I didn’t look too much into the seventh rounder as they rarely make the 53, but now that Wallace is out I went back and looked at more of his stats and combine numbers. He had an elite ten yard split. 1.5 seconds. Thats insane for a linebacker. He also had a 4.64 in the 40 at 6’4 232.

The height makes him a potential pbu monster, but also susceptible to getting washed out tbf. (Less of an issue when we got the big monsters up front we have now.) Lloyd is another tall rangy guy. We might have a type.

We just brought in the LB from the Giants to start this year, but Kuwatch looks really good. We’re a 3-4 base now but I think Kuwatch could be a really good player for us if given time to develop, what do you all think? He also had five sacks, I grew up with the 4-3 but now we need twitchy big strong blitzers.

Grabbed an old helmet. Had it painted specifically with the Panthers silver paint-job. Then got together all the other accessories and put it all together.

With Trevin Wallace being waived, Bobby Okerke signed to the active roster and now Tyrel Dodson to the practice squad the LB room has been shaken up quite a bit. I'm personally not a fan of waiting until the last minute after the preseason is over to incorporate Okerke into what looks like a starting role.

I would have much rather brought him in once they weren't seeing the progress made by Wallace and Cherelus. We will see how they ramp up Okerke and what they have in mind for Dodson in the long run, but this feels like a pretty big whiff by the organization to have to bring in multiple guys this late.
