I’d buy Skyrim for the 5th time if it got the Oblivion remastered treatment

It think it’s time for a PS5 remastered version. Think Demon Souls PS5.

Inspiration for Skyrim Giants

so they’re mean, live in caves, and make cheese.

When Odysseus and his men find the giant cave they eat the cheese.

did Skyrim take inspiration for the giants from the Odyssey?

Stealth Archer

Post image

When I first started playing I was heavily into illusion magic. In the hundred plus playthrough I've done I've done just about every class I can think of (please challenge me I'm bored) I've rarely if ever wound up defaulting into a stealth archer. In fact I can't think of a more boring playstyle. You can alteration armour yourself and destruction cast your way through stealth free, or wear heavy armour and bash your way through, you can be sneaky with daggers, or any combo of the three. Hell you can play as a healer and not do a lick of damage the whole game. Its my unpopular opinion that those who default to stealth archer simply don't have the creativity necessary to come up with something else. Personally my default build is a spellsword. Blade in one hand spell in the other, heavy armour, points in conjuration, destrutcion, and restoration. My favourite to build is an arcane trickster where I outright just don't do damage to people but have them fight eachother. Hiding in the shadows just to plink people off one by one isn't my idea of a good gaming experience and falling back on that every time feels like a waste of a playthrough.

The community should start a campaign to get them to release the missing translations, like PT-BR, or at least port the existing mods for that over to the Creation Club.

Nintendo Switch 2. Fan translations and even AI dubbing already exist in Portuguese and other languages not supported by the native translation. At this point, it's a shame they still haven't made a native translation, or even ported the translation mods to the Creation Club, which is full of useless mods but lacks the actually useful ones.
The community should start a campaign to see if it works, because having to wait for a remaster like Oblivion just to get a translation is rough.

Question Mod veterans halp!

This one longs for the warm sands but what would warm this one even more would be some beautiful mod packs.

To be short. Started Skyrim SE brand new after years of hiatus and love it still as the day before I lost you. Still I would like to see some refreshment in Skyrim and to be honest, I suck at playing modded games.

Are there easy-to-install visual modpacks for Skyrim SE and what are your preferred?

Saw this Tubeflick last night and my curiosity woke but let thisnserve as an example what I'm after.

Modding Skyrim paid mods=brawl bug

After checking out a good portion of the trophy friendly paid mods on ps5 ive noticed almost all of them cause the brawl bug soft locking portions of the game like the thieves guild and some followers requirments. Does anyone know if there will be any fixes to these mods or if Bethesda will just actual put the brawl bug fix into the official game?

Question Skyrim Is Alduin actually dead? Spoiler

When you defeat Alduin in Sovngarde, his soul does not get absorbed like other dragons. Arngeir even suggests that Alduin may return someday, because Alduin isn't just some dragon he has a specific cosmic role.

Skyrim NPCs with DLSS 5 — In-Game Screenshots

Post image
0 Upvotes

I've been trying out DLSS 5 in my modded Skyrim setup, so I took a few close-up shots of different NPCs to see how it handles faces, skin, hair, and lighting.

All screenshots are captured directly in-game with no post-processing or editing.

I'll post one NPC per comment below.

What do you think of the image quality?

Question Is Serana a massive downgrade as a Follower?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I know this is a hot take but I am experiencing nothing but problems while she is my active Follower. And I am kind of forced to use her while I complete the Dawnguard DLC.

Some things I noticed:

  1. I can't ask her to pick stuff up, and thus lost the unlimited Follower carry weight.
  2. Her magic attacks are a lot weaker than tempered weapons.
  3. She keeps getting lost/distracted by the workstations. She ends up missing the fight because of this.
  4. Her AOE spells keeps aggroing friendly NPCs.
  5. She even lost her Dragonscale Gauntlets while switching between her default and custom armor. I had to reload an older save to confirm she had them right before the room to the Soul Cairn.

I honestly don't know why people recommend using her voluntarily.

Discussion Which faction would you guys like to forget in Skyrim

For me it's civil war lol rest are still fine like brotherhood companions and other factions but they are so incomplete in the game you literally need mods to play those factions properly

Question Unable to update to 1.7.99.0

Hi, I'm unable to update to 1.7.99.0 on Steam. I'm currently on version 1.7.104.0. I just found it weird. Obviously I checked on steam for an update available. I checked my game version by right clicking on the .exe and it states 1.7.104.0.

Bug Help Game update

Bug Help They hotfixed the map bug for Xbox, but what about PC?

Upvotes

I can't be the only one still crashing every 4th time I open the map, right? I get the impression they think it was just an Xbox problem. Did they release a fix I missed for PC? Are all PC users having this problem? (technically I'm on a Mac running Steam via Crossover—not sure if that has anything to do with it)

Illustration of my frustration included above.

Discussion So I would like an alternative weapon than Chillrend for fighting dragons.

I am playing a vampire illusion assassin, at lvl 24 I got Mehrunes' Razor and Chillrend, for when I get caught out of stealth. My illusion is not high enough for invisibility, still running with Predator's Grace since my stealth is not quite 70 yet, did the Thieves quest and got Chillrend, have been using it since it freeze paralyzes enemies very well (big upgrade from using Mace of Molag Bal even though mace does more damage). My only problem with Chillrend is that it doesn't work with Dragons, what would be a good CC weapon for my dual weld fight style against dragons?

I do not have much enchanting (only from refilling Molag Bal mace and Chillrend) so looking for a weapon out in the world

Modding Is there a mod where Nazeem actually has a farm or some sort of motion

I’m really high and was wondering if anyone knows of a mod where Nazeem actually has the farm he brags about. I mean I know he technically does but he never visits it and it looks like shit. I just want to see this man with some motion
