Playing Stalker 2 on Xbox Series S.

earlier today i was trying to go to Rookie Village after picking up the quest from Quiet after the Noontide missions, and three separate times I tried using the main road to go to Rookie Village and the came just freezes and crashes. I’ve got no idea what’s causing the issue, but i’m curious to see if this has happened to anyone else.

Does anyone else have a bug where after finishing cost of hope and leaving cnpp region you can still hear the weird flare anomaly noise no matter where you go?

We have one DLC down, and one more DLC to go. Once we see active (as in new content) development stop on STALKER 2, where do you think the IP will go?

They're giving us a good foundation to keep the game going from a player standpoint. Looks like a very powerful mod kit. This upcoming multiplayer mode. But I do hope that it wont be another 15+ years before we see another iteration of the IP. So I have to ask, what do you think the future holds?

From a story perspective (and why this is marked as spoilers), it seems like there's a big presence of "the zone is no longer just Chornobyl" type of deal. Leaving the possibility to moving to not only other regions of Ukraine. But also other regions of the world. The big question is if it will land the same. I feel like there's a lot of ex-soviet union countries that can help push forth that brutalistic architecture feel that we see in the STALKER games. My mind goes to the Half Life 2 game and how a lot of the cities/locations were heavily inspired by Eastern European architecture. So imaging something like that with mutants, anomalies, etc; I can see it working as we already get a somewhat similar vibe in the current Half Life series.

I'm really curious what this multiplayer mode will be. I've played so many "STALKER but multiplayer" games out there over the years. And while they share a similar setting, they often just can't capture the same feeling as the STALKER franchise. I think due in part to most of them being pvp focused. And it just devolves into a massive death match/bandit war with people running the same min/maxed loadouts. Mods and some of those custom game modes like Arma are probably the closest thing we've got right now. Its a common problem with games like this. For example, going from the elder scrolls to elder scrolls online, ESO never really felt "like" a TES game. Honestly Fallout 4 -> Fallout 76 was probably the closest I've ever seen a game reach in being able to capture the same feel of the singleplayer games it is based off of. Just jumping into a world that feels like Fallout 4 with 25+ other random people who are just "living" in the same world as you, even if you're not in a group. I would love for a game to be able to accomplish that with the STALKER franchise.

In one of the journalist's stash is a Riemann, which of course I found early on. This gun is arguably the best SMG in the entire game. When I found this, I was super stoked. But then, as I have progressed through the game naturally, I realized that all the different SMGs that I found I didn't really have a need for. This made it so I never really had motivation to test them out, simply because it didn't make much sense to bring an inferior gun to a gunfight.

I've struggled with my opinion on this because on one hand it is unbelievably awesome to have that kind of power that early. On the other hand, however, it would have been nice if getting that piece of gear wasn't in just some marked stash where I could easily just run to when I started the game.

Is this a balancing problem with the SMGs in the early game or have I totally missed the mark on this one? Still undecided.

Anybody else experiencing frequent crashes around the northern parts of the game.

I haven't played Stalker 2 in a while. This time when I try to load the game, it says 'This Save Was Created in a DLC that is not present in your current game and can't be loaded.' I have never had any DLCs, so this makes no sense?

I know the answer is probably still no, but I am curious if A-Life 2 is anywhere close to the old games' A-Life systems. I'm not asking if anyone likes or dislikes A-Life 2, but rather how it compares to the old A-Life systems.

Which of the older games is it closest to? Is it equal to SoC's yet, or has it gone beyond that to at least near the quality of the systems in CoP and/or CS, where there were different levels of simulation that were still in-depth and created a believable, if volatile map with everything's populations being in balance? Or is it still just a glorified spawn radius like on launch?

I ask primarily because the main draw of the STALKER games for me was how well the AI was done, as well as the fact that AI was simulated beyond render distance in CoP and CS. I pre-ordered STALKER 2, but I still haven't finished it to this day because of how disconnected everything feels as well as how finnicky fall damage and anomaly hitboxes were compared to the old games (though fall damage was always kind of just gambling in the older games iirc).

So base game is like 60 bucks, DLC is like 30.

But Ultimate edition is 110 bucks, so what to buy now.

Upgrade to Ultimate or DLC because small fine print also say next DLC is also free for owners of Ultimate edition.

I've always liked Clear Sky, maybe because they were blue. Anyway, I tried my best to recreate it, but ended up with a mix of two suits. In the future I may add some more pouches on the belt, but these would be only for my convenience.

Does anyone know where to get one? I’ve look at all sells and known location still haven’t been able to find one

My settings are a mix of epic, high, and medium (when it comes to shadows)... it runs around 40 to 50 fps. Fantastic game and very nicely optimized for handheld devices imo

Edit: hmm didn't upñoad with great quality, but it looks very nice and runs very good

Hi my fellow stalker, i came here to share with you this song i made (yeah, its made in Suno but i wrote the lyrics) , its inspired in the stalker lore from strelok's POV, but with a "mixed" ending, its based on his adventure from SOC to HOC as a brief story. i think that its really nice. I try to start every run with as little gear as possible so I can scavenge as mush as possible before returning to a safe zone.

So i left the ninth alive when you find him way back in lesser zone . I have progressed to wild island and hot on the trail mission. I currently have to go to wps. I run.

Passing through a campfire relatively close to pontoon depot , I find him chilling with his Bros.

I talked to him , he said that he sometimes goes out to emissions for just a little bit to feel like home or something. Before heading to WPS I decided to look around pontoon depot an emission starts. The closest safe space was a cave with a zircon suit.

Reaching the place just in time and emission starts. A rat horde suddenly appears ,i suppose it was completely random. M*****f***** the ninth runs inside and dies in front of me. . I just... I have no words
