Watching this documentary about Chornobyl and this familiar structure showed up. I really thought this theory was something conjured up by GSC storytellers?

Here I am looking at the Shevchenko, about 100m away. It doesn't look that far away, because it isn't. The guard on the top deck just pops up and there's nothing in place to really conceal that. The binocs, while a great addition, do highlight the limitations of the vanilla bubble size.

I've seen some people in this sub defend this bubble distance by saying "you never really see past 100m anyway, it's so far" but it genuinely isn't. In the OG games, it was. Some maps were only 300m across. But this game is exponentially more massive. And there are plenty of open fields and sightlines where this becomes noticeable.

I do appreciate that the offline simulation now spans the whole zone. That's great, A-Life as a whole really feels quite good now. It's just the stuff you can see like this that still bugs me a little.

Maybe there is a hit to performance if you expand it. I don't quite see how, but maybe. Regardless, I hope that GSC meets us in the middle and figures out how to at least add an option in the settings to adjust the online bubble size to your preference. If possible. Something officially supported and semi-optimized by the devs.

I've always liked Clear Sky, maybe because they were blue. Anyway, I tried my best to recreate it, but ended up with a mix of two suits. In the future I may add some more pouches on the belt, but these would be only for my convenience.

Lets be real, when it was in the game it made no sense and the gun it fit was completely wrong, plus it only fit a single like 2 guns, and one you needed to do a conversion on for that to work in the first place. I just feel like it has its place in this world, the SKS being added and being 7.62x54 feels... wrong? Its just a better SVD at this point. And a wooden AK model is already in the game, its behind Ragman. Why can't we have an AKM? It wouldn't only help diversify the games weaponry further. And I could see the addition of a MK47 mutant being cool as well. Maybe it could share a magazine attachment with the AKM. Just food for thought but I feel like 7.62 soviet has its place in this game.

The original Stalker trilogy is on my gaming Mt. Rushmore. I longed for a new Stalker game for decades. But sadly when Stalker 2 dropped, I didn't play it. Im old. Im tired. Im busy. I just never felt like I had the time or energy. With the 2.0 drop, I finally just forced myself to jump in. I haven't played anything but chill games for a year. I honestly expected to bounce off it.

But here I am, at work, thinking about getting home to play some more. I haven't had this feeling of excitement to play a game in a long time. I'm so happy to have the magic in my life again while going through some difficult times. Just wanted to spread some love.

I'm genuinely surprised how faithful and nostalgic Stalker 2 is. It feels a lot like I felt playing Shadow of Chernobyl when I was 22.

I think im wrapping up in the lesser zone, and excites to continue the journey. Thanks GSC!

I found that this set is enough for me for any situation, even long trips, because I can find everything else along the way. I play on Veteran difficulty.

I like the fact that GSC sees STALKER 2 as a long term project providing top notch tools for modders. I bet in the future it can be expanded even more, e.g. Phase 3.

Got jumped by at least 20 boars in iron forest. Needless to say I cowered on a truck spamming 'names.

This is very stupid and needs changed. I’m guessing it happens because the game only calculates hunger by the amount of time that has passed and sleeping passes a lot of time.

I can take a slight hunger penalty when sleeping but waking up starving to death is too far.

I would also generally like it if Skif didn’t have the metabolism of a 14 year old boy and ate like a normal person. Thanks.
