With Midnight introducing Lindormi’s Guidance and later expanding the system with Lindormi’s Glow, I think Blizzard has already laid the groundwork for something that could be an incredible Mythic+ QoL feature.
Let tanks create their own routes using the same system.
Instead of only having Blizzard’s predefined route highlighted, give the tank a route-planning tool before starting the key.
The tank could:
-Open the route planner.
-Select the packs they want to pull throughout the dungeon.
-Save/confirm the route.
-Have their selected mobs glow for the entire party so that Everyone can then follow the exact route the tank has planned.
So rather than:
“What pack are we pulling next?”
or
“When do you want Bloodlust?”
or
having the tank constantly look at a route on a second monitor/ alt tab, the dungeon itself tells everyone.
This would be especially useful for tanks,
One of the biggest barriers to getting into tanking Mythic+ is route knowledge. You aren’t just learning your class — you’re expected to know the dungeon layout, percentage requirements, skips, which packs can be combined, and exactly where to go next.
With a customizable Lindormi system, a tank could prepare their route before the key and simply follow it in-game.
It also makes communication much easier.
The tank’s route becomes visible using the glow effect to the entire group, so everyone knows:
“These are the packs we’re doing.”
You could even allow routes to be saved, shared, imported, or made specifically for different affixes/keys.
Blizzard could leave that entirely up to the players. The tank still has to decide what to pull, where to go, what skips to use, and how to optimize the dungeon.
The game would simply provide the visual tool to communicate that decision to the party.
We already have Lindormi’s Guidance/Glow showing that the game can identify and highlight the mobs required for Enemy Forces. So Why not take it one step further and let the tank decide which mobs glow?
It would eliminate the need to memorize routes and the need for a second screen just to follow a route — while keeping the actual strategy and decision-making completely in the hands of the players.
Give tanks the ability to say: “This is my route. Follow the glowing mobs.”
