Discussion Details on Eternal Sentinels (Heroic)
This fight is a little more subtle than it appears at first.
For starters there's a need to DPS the two bosses evenly despite the fact that two huge adds spawn on one side and not the other. However it is much more possible to have people swap sides than I thought it was; the aura debuff will fall off when the sentinels are at only 25 energy or so at which point people can swap sides if needed. Although a counter-intuitive thing is that the better the raid is at DPSing both sides evenly, the shorter the intermission is and the less time the raid has to add to four and the aura debuff won't have ticked down for 10+ seconds.
What I'm gonna try next time is 2/3/10 or something, with two teams of 1-1-4 committed to each side, and then the extra healer and 2 DPS will start every rotation on the blood side until their poison aura falls off, then swap over. This means the poison side will 75% of the time have an extra healer and two dps. (It does mean the blood side will need to be attentive to the soaks.)
One issue that isn't instantly obvious is that when the Breath (poison one) comes over after the intermission, the tank's (blood) slam debuff falls off right about when the big add spawns, creating a huge pool of blood in the worst location at the worst time. I think the raid kinda just has to deal with it, although you could in theory have a tanky dps pull the boss away for a few seconds right before that happens.
I have also seen tanks trying to stack everything in the corner which isn't really needed IMO. It creates a solid area of blood, which makes the green orbs that spawn in random locations difficult to soak.
A huge part of successfully completing this as well is reminding people to cheat towards the center prior to intermission, then to Stop Moving for a second or two while people figure out what's going on. Especially since the bosses take reduced damage, so many people run around like chickens with their heads cut off instead of swinging the camera around and Then moving.
Also the boss can be reset by just running up the stairs opposite the entrance.
