Connor obviously hates producing this podcast. But when did a 10 hour unedited episode become the epitome of episode quality?

They barely discuss the current mutant’s powers anymore, it’s all about how these characters made Connor feel and His Headcannon - then social interaction with guests…. For hours and Hours.

Who needs 10 hours on Emplate?! What was he editing the past 2 months of the 2nd half of an episode?

So sad it was an amazing podcast when it premiered.

PS - still deeply in mourning for Jay & Miles X-plain….

The only uniforms here that are even remotely salvageable are Bobby’s and Logan’s

Disclaimer, this isn’t a criticism of these kinds of stories at all. Part of what I love about X-Men is how deeply social commentary is explored in the franchise.

I’m curious whether it’s even possible to read an X-Men story that completely avoids questions of prejudice, identity, power, assimilation, government, class, religion, race, or other social issues.

Not necessarily a story that is overtly “political,” either.

I mean one where none of that is operating underneath the surface at all.

Can you think of one?

Doesn’t have to be games only on PS5 but any available on ps5. I play Rivals on occasion but I want a game where Cyclops is a standout character and I can play him a lot.

I’m cool with having to play a different character at times but I’d like to play as Cyclops as much as possible.

Again, any suggestions need to be available on PS5 preferably trough the PlayStation store rather than physical copy

Some people wonder why i’m one of the more vocal Krakoa Era haters on the internet. SlickNickShady if you knew me on other X Boards or Twitter or Discord or whatever. Anyway..

Shortly after Generation X by Strain and Amilcar Pinna ended. I had him commission me a romantic Nature Girl and Eye Boy art with Karakoa in the background.

Who knew then just how badly Krakoa era would go for me as a huge Nature Girl (Lin Li) fan and someone who had lived Moira for a long time considering my favorite X Men comics are New Mutants Vol 1 and Excalibur Vol 1.

So maybe I just am sensitive to the fact they ruined one of my favorite current young mutants and one of my favorite human mutant allys Moira.

I honestly am usually fine to changes to characters. Things can happen and characters can redeem themselves.

What Hickman and then Duggan.. Did to these characters is different. I can’t picture any ways for a current or future writer to Redeem them.

I would love if say Gail Simone tried to take Lin Li on to Redeem her. Or Give Chris Claremont a chance to Redeem Moira. My favorite X Writer.

But even if you give Lin or Moira the best creative team. I don’t see how you redeem them and I guess thats why it’s still bothersome.

People like going with you are not a real fan if you hated the era. I’m not a bandwagon hopper. I bought every single X Men issue released during the Krakoa era. I spent my hard earned money on it. I truly did not want to hate it.

Anyway.. Yay cute Eye Boy and Nature Girl Art before Lin ripped apart his body almost as badly as Moira taking skin off Banshee and wearing it.

Trevor Hawkins and Sean Cassidy could have a great commiserating session. I would say.. I would read that fan fic but that fic would be depressing. haha.

I know some people were not a fan of Amilicar’s art style but I was. Would love to see him back on an X Book again. Great Guy.

Like the title says. There’s virtually nothing. Take Erik, Logan and Chuck Chuck out of the equation and tell me which one of the original X-Men cast is THAT good in all way (acting, writing, presence during movies)

People act like Sadie Sink “needs time to develop her character” as if during the Fox’s movies both Famke and Sophie did have that much to do in terms of acting an amazing writing when in reality at least one of them failed to the character.

There’s no moment where Rogue, Storm and all the others did have something you say “whoa, so incredible”, “just like it what’s in TAS that made me love the character”, “X stole the show for me in that movie”

Because there isn’t one

Do you guys recommend it?

It’s the only X book I haven’t read yet.

I've recently gotten into X men cause I was rewatching the fox movies, and then I watched X-Men 97. Now I'm making my way thru the Chris Claremont run on uncanny X men. And every time I go online I see people talking about how Charles is literally the spawn of the devil.

And I'm so confused, he was literally my favourite in the movies, and in X-Men 97, and he seems like such a wonderful guy in all of those.

Are there any modern comics where he isn't an asshole? I really wanted to read more stories about him, but as it turns out he's awful in the recent comics. Reading thru the Claremont run is really tough for me, cause idk maybe it's the formatting of the older comics, but it's hard for me to get thru, so that's why I was hoping to read some more recent stuff. So do you guys have any comic recs like that

I always liked from the cartoon how powerful he is and giving the mutants a hard time. If he does appear, maybe they can reuse the future sentinesl from Days of Future Past.

So I’m reading the HoX/PoX TPB and while House is tremendous [insert Lady Gaga adjective gif], Powers has me both bored and confused. The characters and world building of the future storyline feels so boilerplate and weak compared to HoX, which is so singular and captivating. It comes across like textbook future dystopia, from the setting to the way everyone talks. I also can’t quite understand what the overall goal is other than: Mutant No Die. I’m having a tough time connecting with the characters, the dialogue especially feels really inauthentic. It kind of brings down my enjoyment of the story as a whole. It’s not bad, don’t get me wrong, it just suffers in comparison to what’s happening with the founding of Krakoa.

Am I missing something? Do I need to read further? By the way, what’s next in the reading order for Krakoa?

One last thing: the art in these issues is fucking phenomenal. Pepe Larraz is a god tier X-Men artist with RB Silva not far behind. Marte Gracia’s coloring also makes their art absolutely sing.

Just rate any male X-MEN you want, dunno just thought it'd be fun since there's so much romance drama in these books

There were several comments comparing Psylocke’s fame (Hot ninja) in the 90s to Magik’s fame now (Hot demon girl) and how it was just primarily visually driven…and how they’re more trendy than iconic and there were arguments that Psylocke’s confusing history (body swap) prevented her from reaching the top of the x-men popularity. Betsy was red-hot in the 90’s but has cooled down considerably today.

What part of Magik’s character do you think will hold her back from being a permanent fixture in x-men comics? (If any) I know Magik's magical based power kept her from being in x-men stories in the 90's...could that happen again? I was kinda shocked how many fan art had them together...
