It mostly recaps the 12-issue story so far, after Millar's 2 month break, and sets up the direction the next arc is heading towards. It's a nice and cozy prologue for the very action-packed story that followed (World Tour) and I enjoy it quite a lot.

Wolverine and the X-Men V1 1

For years, the only X-Men I cared about was Wolverine, loved his character, love his story, but when it comes to the X-Men he was the furthest I got, but since the X-Men movie has been announced and as well as I’ve gotten back into Marvel rivals I’ve had a look at the mutants I’ve overlooked, and i was missing out, Wolverine will always be my favourite but gambit and Magik are really getting up there, magik because her story and her character concept is great and limbo from the little I know about it so far seems like an interesting place, gambit because his personality and that his outfit is the exact same style I would go for if I was a superhero (mainly the cost),

ironic because out of all the mutants that I could’ve picked to be my top favourites, it was the ones that are lest likely to be in the new x men movie 🫠 since to my knowledge there not part of the main team and gambit is gonna be in doomsday so I doubt they would want to redo do him any time soon and Magik.. idk she just doesn’t seem likely which is annoying because she’s very cool

Oh i’ve even created a mutant oc but I’m struggling with the power scaling since there’s so many abilities I want but they have nothing to do with each other or would make everything too easy 😅 ik secondary mutations are a thing which I might use but I don’t know if they have to be connected to the first mutant power

But yeah, just thought I’d share my new revelation and I suppose so people in the comments know what to say, what’s your favourite mutant and why?, any of a mutants that From what you know of my favourites you’ve think I would also be interested in oh and any ideas on creating the oc, thanks

Because all three have a major history with both Mutants & Magic!

Illyana/Magik: In this case she been a teacher for both school which kinda makes it hard to root for but then again she beem on both side. Though I was surprised she a philosophy teacher and not like a defense against magic teacher for the x men.

Scarlet Witch: She is sorcerer supreme now she like has a high authority in magic plus with her on i doubt Erik will complain about their only been one mutant as a judge that and he works with Juggernaut too. And I think the x men have forgiven her I mean let face at this point in time not alot of the teachers in the x men school are innocent either.

Juggernaut: Marko once again his connection especially to Erik and Xavier and he has mentality protection just in case someone thinks about messing with the judges minds.

As for teams well obviously they have kid/teens and selection will be asked later.

As for the competition here a broader idea but we definitely can't have it at an x school those places always keep getting destroyed the insurance as gotta be stressful. So maybe in New Orleans and have Strange do reversal spell to clean up the mess.

Or they go otherworld for more neutral ground.

Race wise obviously no teleporting, speedster, or flying above the course. And no harming other parents are gonna see this and their just games. Only use magic or powers on obstacles. They should use this opportunity to forge friendships.

I ask this cuz the cover looks to be their classic suits and I tried reading the first few x men comics but because of the time period they’re so hard to get through

So I’m reading the HoX/PoX TPB and while House is tremendous [insert Lady Gaga adjective gif], Powers has me both bored and confused. The characters and world building of the future storyline feels so boilerplate and weak compared to HoX, which is so singular and captivating. It comes across like textbook future dystopia, from the setting to the way everyone talks. I also can’t quite understand what the overall goal is other than: Mutant No Die. I’m having a tough time connecting with the characters, the dialogue especially feels really inauthentic. It kind of brings down my enjoyment of the story as a whole. It’s not bad, don’t get me wrong, it just suffers in comparison to what’s happening with the founding of Krakoa.

Am I missing something? Do I need to read further? By the way, what’s next in the reading order for Krakoa?

One last thing: the art in these issues is fucking phenomenal. Pepe Larraz is a god tier X-Men artist with RB Silva not far behind. Marte Gracia’s coloring also makes their art absolutely sing.

Like the title says. There’s virtually nothing. Take Erik, Logan and Chuck Chuck out of the equation and tell me which one of the original X-Men cast is THAT good in all way (acting, writing, presence during movies)

People act like Sadie Sink “needs time to develop her character” as if during the Fox’s movies both Famke and Sophie did have that much to do in terms of acting an amazing writing when in reality at least one of them failed to the character.

There’s no moment where Rogue, Storm and all the others did have something you say “whoa, so incredible”, “just like it what’s in TAS that made me love the character”, “X stole the show for me in that movie”

Because there isn’t one

I always liked from the cartoon how powerful he is and giving the mutants a hard time. If he does appear, maybe they can reuse the future sentinesl from Days of Future Past.

Connor obviously hates producing this podcast. But when did a 10 hour unedited episode become the epitome of episode quality?

They barely discuss the current mutant’s powers anymore, it’s all about how these characters made Connor feel and His Headcannon - then social interaction with guests…. For hours and Hours.

Who needs 10 hours on Emplate?! What was he editing the past 2 months of the 2nd half of an episode?

So sad it was an amazing podcast when it premiered.

PS - still deeply in mourning for Jay & Miles X-plain….

Do you guys recommend it?
