Cosplay Amicia de Rune by Gurami
Made this costume myself, and it's one of my all-time faves. (The rat is real, btw!)

I haven't even played Resonance yet, I've just been listening to the album while I work. 'The Land', 'Patera', 'Call of the Ancients', 'The Trials', 'To Our Parents' -- such gorgeous, rich and varied work. Between The Flight's score for Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, Ludwig Göransson's earthy, thorny soundscape for Nolan's Odyssey and now Olivier going sicko mode, fans of Ancient Greece are dining so well

You stab the guy like 30 times during that fight and then they just sit there and calmly talk, like nothing happened. They don't even breathe heavily. Not to mention they go from being enemies to death, cutting each other with steal, to working together in matter of seconds, without any major reason other than... being tired? Wtf was that :D I know you cannot overthink or sometimes even think in videogames, but this was pretty weird and immersion breaking in a game, that goes for serious and grounded tone (be it with unnatural elements). And there were so many such moments, where the game lost any sense of logic. Like when you spent solving multiple puzzles and opening multiple doors in order to solve your way into ancient "impenetrable" temple, only for enemies (without necessary key) to just appear out of nowhere in the middle of a that place in every other room. Using exit fire staircase, I guess.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying hard to find an excuses to find a dirt on it. I just find some of it really missing any sense in very distracting way. I wonder, if anyone else noticed these "game illogics" as well.
edit: what a pointless post, huh? I got to much free time :)

I just finished A Plague Tale: Resonance, and I absolutely loved it.
While the gameplay style differs from previous entries, it makes complete sense: Sophia is a raider used to fighting and defending herself. Unlike Amicia, who relied more on stealth, combat feels natural for her.
This entry takes a totally different direction by leaning into Greco-Roman mythology. We discover a young Sophia used as a test subject—likely by the Order, given the symbol on the notebook. While the nuns' exact motives remain unclear, we know Sophia is poisoned and drawn to a mysterious island (the very same place where her father later dies).
When Sophia reaches the island, the atmosphere feels enchanting despite her grief. The crystal-clear water, bright blue skies, and glowing fireflies create a fairy-tale world you just want to dive into. Her relationship with Leni—whether friendship or something more—is genuinely refreshing, and the soundtrack sets the tone perfectly.
The dives into the past are spectacular and leave you wanting to learn more about Theseus. But as you progress, this epic adventure slowly turns into absolute horror: hostile soldiers searching for the treasure, increasingly harsh trials, and that agonizing, terrifying monster lurking in the dark.
After Leni’s death, Sophia’s despair is heartbreaking, yet she’s forced to keep moving—driven by Theseus's call and the poison slowly killing her. Meanwhile, Faro’s motivations are grounded and believable. Driven by obsession to succeed where Sophia’s father failed, he fears losing his standing and views his adopted daughter as a threat to his leadership.
Blending the figures of Theseus and Ariadne is a brilliant narrative choice. By the ending, it becomes clear that Ariadne serves as the Protector to Asterion, just like Aelia and Amicia were before her. Asterion is clearly afflicted by a form of the Macula: the chains matching Basilius's, his isolation once people feared him, a Protector as his only anchor, and his destructive powers. Does the Macula mutate or evolve over time?
The Order clearly still holds many secrets, and A Plague Tale has so much more universe left to explore.

This is a really great game, but it has terrible stuttering issues that need to be fixed immediately. I don't want to complete it with all these stutters, especially on Game Pass."

I played the majority of the game thinking from the start that Leni was the traitor. So up until she got her leg snapped I didn’t give a damn how she felt about anything. Which then kinda had me less attached to her by the time she got petrified and we could burn her out of her misery. Overall though the game was phenomenal.

I had 0 problem with any other puzzle in the game, but this one I couldn't figure out for good 20 minutes. First I got stuck, because it didn't occur to me to use sphere ability around mirrors (which the game didn't suggest in any way and didn't do once before this one) and then I got stuck at the final part and even when assist/companion spelled out the solution out loud, I could not see the logic behind it for the next 5 minutes of staring at screen. I guess I didn't notice, that 3 of 6 symbols in the book are circles (inner, outer and mid circles), because I first noticed other symbols and presumed all 6 symbols in the book are from the symbols on the wall (bull's head, snake etc.).
Just curious, if I'm that much slow today or if it was badly designed and confusing.

Hey folks, I put together a platinum guide for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.
WeHunt is still pretty new and I’m actively trying to make the guides better, so I’d genuinely love any feedback, stuff that’s missing, annoying, unclear, whatever. Don’t worry about hurting my feelings lol.

Ive been trying to fix he brightness on Requiem. I have HDR turned off and the brightness set all the way to 0 and the exposure looks horrible. If I try with HDR on I literally cant see anything because its so washed out. Ive never had this issue on any other game before, any ideas?

I think that a plague tale series has got to be one of the most underrated games of all time
1-first of all the game offers a great storytelling experience and one of the most happy endings in the first season and one of the most tragic endings in gaming history
2-the gameplay of this game is not that bad especially in season 2 and its stealth is so well done
that is an opinion I don't see much frequently

I spoke to Carol-Ann Bañuls, lead game writer, and Valérian Robert, lead level designer, to talk about making Sophia the protagonist, changing the basic Plague Tale formula, designing a different kind of world around her abilities, and how Resonance expands on the mythology!
Since the game was coming out literally a day after my interview, I couldn't ask them too much about story-specific stuff from Resonance, but I think my questions (and their responses) turned out pretty interesting, all things considered~!

TL;DR: Amicia and Sophia find the next Carrier, Eli, who has been living with his older brother Mark after their parents were killed during an outbreak caused by Eli's Macula. Mark dies protecting him, leaving Amicia to become his new Protector. As the three travel together, Eli's condition worsens and the rat plague evolves into something that could consume the world. They eventually discover a way to destroy the Macula permanently, but it comes at the cost of a human life. Everything seems to point toward Amicia, until the game reveals that Sophia has already made a different choice.
I've been thinking about where A Plague Tale could go after Requiem, and if Amicia's story ever gets a proper conclusion, I'd want it to actually end the cycle rather than just introduce another Carrier.
After Requiem, Amicia and Sophia continue searching for the next Carrier. Eventually they find Eli, a young boy who's been living with his older brother Mark.
Their parents were killed during an outbreak caused by Eli's first major Macula manifestation. Mark never blamed him and basically raised him afterwards. He's Eli's older brother, Protector and only family.
When their hiding place is discovered, Mark gets Eli to safety but dies in the process.
Eli is left completely alone, and Amicia takes on the responsibility of protecting him. Naturally, he doesn't just accept her. Mark was the person who raised him, and Amicia can't simply replace that.
The relationship between the three develops gradually. Sophia is able to bring some normality back into Eli's life, while Amicia becomes increasingly protective of him. There are also moments where Amicia catches herself seeing Hugo in Eli, something she eventually has to confront.
Eli has his own demons as well. His parents' deaths were connected to his first Macula manifestation, and he's spent years believing that he was responsible. Mark was the one person who kept him from completely believing that.
As Eli's Macula develops, Sophia's own history starts becoming relevant. She recognizes certain things happening to him that Amicia doesn't, although she doesn't necessarily explain everything she knows.
Then the situation gets out of control.
We've already seen what the Macula can become at its final stage through Hugo. With Eli, the consequences could be even worse. The outbreaks become increasingly severe, the rats begin adapting, and eventually sunlight may no longer be enough to stop them.
The entire world is running out of time.
Eventually, they discover a way to destroy the Macula completely.
Not transfer it, not suppress it but to end it and there's a price. The process requires a human sacrifice, although the exact conditions aren't immediately clear.
Eli naturally assumes he's the one who has to die. Amicia refuses to accept that, and as they investigate further, they discover that the Carrier actually has to survive for the cure to work which obviously leaves Amicia and this is where I think the game could really mess with the player.
Everything would point toward Amicia sacrificing herself. She's the Protector, she's already lost Hugo, and by this point Eli has become someone she would do absolutely anything to save.
I would let the game reinforce that assumption right up until the final sequence.
Maybe Amicia even gets a proper moment with Eli beforehand. She thinks she's saying goodbye. The player thinks they're watching the end of her story.
Then, at the last moment, Sophia reveals that she's already figured out what the sacrifice requires and she has made her decision.
Not because she's suddenly the "chosen one" or because the story conveniently needs her to die. She's simply decided that Amicia has already given enough.
By this point, Eli means far more to Sophia than just another Carrier she's helping protect. Their relationship has developed naturally throughout the journey, and losing him to the Macula would mean watching another child go through the same fate she has spent the entire game trying to prevent.
So Sophia takes Amicia's place.
I wouldn't foreshadow this with obvious conversations about sacrifice or death. If anything, Sophia should appear completely normal right up until the reveal. The little things she does for Eli throughout the game only become meaningful afterwards.
The final scene between the three should be emotional, but restrained. Amicia realizes what's happening and tries to stop Sophia. Eli does too.
Sophia still goes through with it.
The Macula is destroyed, the plague ends, and there is finally no next Carrier.
Amicia survives.
Years later, Eli is grown and the world is recovering. Amicia and Eli visit Sophia's grave, and Eli leaves behind a small keepsake Sophia gave him earlier in the game.
Then they leave and that's it.
If A Plague Tale is going to end with Amicia, I think this would be a fitting way to do it. She doesn't die repeating the same sacrifice she made for Hugo. She survives, raises Eli, and finally gets to see the cycle end.
No more Carriers.
