I expect being skunked with every quarter box.
Last night was an exception. On the second roll I found 2 silvers! Then on the third roll I found another! Then after 47 more rolls, I ended with 3 total 😊
So stoked!!!!!

Adding to my collection from last week of the twenty CWRs which got me a decent amount of wheat pennies, heres the list of pennies I found in the box:
365 copper pennies.
1949 & 1949D.
1952 & 1952D.
2 - 1953D.
2 - 1956D.
1957D.
2 - 1959 & 1 - 1959D.
16 pennies from the 60s thru the 90s in BU or nice RD/BN condition, for upgrades to my collection if any.
5 - 2009s.
1 Denver U.S. Mint Token (someone broke a mint pack!)
Canadian: 1947, 1948, 1955, 1973, 1975, 1981 & 1991.

Found 1 40% silver and a 1935 s buffalo nickel. I’m assuming the quarter and dimes were pre checked already.

Was at the grocery store and saw a LoL in line for the coin machine with two small bags in a cart and noticed a LOT of wheat pennies in the zip lock, so I stopped and chatted with her about it. Her husband had "hoarded" coins for most of their life with the plan of going through them when he retired to keep him active. He unfortunately passed before he'd gone through it all, and the kids and grand kids didnt care, so she'd been changing them in a bit at a time for gift cards.
So, being the greedy goblin motivated coin hunter I am slowly becoming, I offered to buy both bags for 20, exchanged numbers with her, and offered to go through anything else she had and either buy it, or get her a fair price if it was more valuable.
That last picture is from the first 2 handfuls I scooped out of the white bag. Everything else was solid Wheat.

Is this a gold plated 2000D?

I’d say I’m a newbie at 50 yrs old. Just started roll hunting a couple months ago and had gone through 22 rolls with one 40% half dollar. Not a full time hunter, just when I happen to think about it.
UNTIL today, this last roll certainly perked me up to keep going.
(3) 64’s
(17) 66-69’s
And a Bi-cent proof(I think), in the roll before this last one.

I have over $3500 in rolled pennies from the bank and an estimated 100 lb of pre 1982 coins. There’s far too many coins to search through even if I had the time so I am looking for advice on the best way to search through my hoard.
I have the machine to sort the copper from the modern coins but is there a machine that would identify the collectible coins too?

Okay so I have been lurking for a while and on a when I asked if they had any half dollar rolls at the bank today in grabbed all three.
Nothing of much interest except for this little guy, D Mark Bicentennial. It doesn’t look like it’s silver and it doesn’t look like it’s double struck. Any value of above Face?
Thanks

A very good week for silver! Probably my best week for dimes. I expanded my usual bank routes and the CWRs performed quite well. Regular results below (excluding impact from the crazy bank that I got the full silver rolls from, will update on that with my monthly recap later in the week):
Dimes:
1 Merc and 16 Rosie’s
10 from $1,500 of MWRs (6 boxes) or $150 / silver ($ searched to find a silver)
7 from $615 of CWRs, or $87.86 / silver
Quarters:
1 silver from a CWR
1 S business strike
$60 of MWR and $50 of CWR, silver came from a CWR
Halves:
3 40%ers
1 Proof
Various NIFCs
I got 2 Loomis boxes this week, one yielded 2 and the other 1 silver, that makes some amount of silver from my last 3 Loomis boxes (last weeks had a 90% and a 40%)!
Nickels:
No silver this week, but found ~20 pre-1960’s that I keep, 2 of which are lower mintage.
Pennies:
I picked up 2 boxes worth of CWR Pennie’s this weekend, but not going through them at the moment. Fingers crossed for a collection dump hidden in there!
Foreign:
SO freaking much foreign coinage this week came out of the CWRs! I think they’re cool, and we do travel to Canada and Mexico some so will spend the money, so all good.

First foreign silvers found in circulation, two 1944 20 centavos from the Philippines, 75% silver. Face value converted to USD is less than 1¢, so they're basically just old silver rounds at this point.

Pretty circulated too
Got a call from one of my tellers today. It’s a good day Tater!
Is this a feeder error? Nice rainbow on the reverse too

So I went to my bank today and they had a few rolls of pennies. Thought I'd check the enders, look what ender I got on the very first roll I looked at!
Stay tuned........................
