CHAT [CHAT] Can someone help me identify is this pattern is AI?

Upvotes

Hey guys! I'm in love with this pattern: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/4546867752/oak-tree-four-seasons-wide-landscape?ref=share_ios_native_control
But I'm afraid I might be falling in love for yet another pattern that is AI made. This store has some lovely designs, but at least some of them look like AI to me, which is a huge red flag, but I'm not sure about this one.
Has anyone bought anything from this store before?
Or what do you think, is it AI?
thank you for your help!

CHAT [CHAT] Why is the yellow stitched on the left so messy compared to the ones on the right? And how do I giz it?

Post image

I'm working on the left side of the pattern (sorry, i tried to flip the pic multiple times. Dont know how to 😅) , it's all solid blue with yellow, pink green lines going through it..

I started with the yellow but couldn't seem to get the stitches to look OK, thought maybe the floss was old since I had this patern for long time > tried it on the right side, not perfect but much better

How do I fix it?

Thank you.

CHAT [CHAT] how do you guys keep at it

Random question for my fellow stitchers—how do you keep your energy/motivation up enough to actually finish a piece? 😭 And what does your setup look like when you’re stitching for a long time? I always want to keep going, but eventually my arms and back start hurting and I have to stop. Do you have any tips or setup advice for staying comfortable while you cross stitch for hours? 🧵💕

Hey all.

I have just finished this pattern which I figured out far too late was AI (don't hate me). I was already 3 months in when it struck me!

How should I do backstitching to fix the muddiness? I know it won't be perfect, but I have suffered through enough confetti to not have it display worthy.

Since September 1st is the official international orange cat day, it seems fitting to share a pattern I finished a few days ago : a very orange cat who doesn't seem to have received the infamous braincell (yet).

The original illustration is from a 19th/20th century manuscript from Ethopia, and the original artist is unknown.

Just got it back today! I used a local frame shop in East TN and I think they did an amazing job! We used a frame I had thrifted and stripped to look more rustic, and it was about 3/16" off from the finished cross stitch size so they weighted the bottom a bit.

FO [FO] Potion Storage

Pattern: Potion Storage
Designed: “The Cross” on Etsy - they are no longer selling on Etsy. I included a picture of their name on the pattern and the last picture is a QR code from their pattern. Mods, please let me know if I broke the rules and I’ll remove what needs to go.

This will be a gift for a friend for Halloween. Her favorite holiday.

Started this at the beginning of June and finally finished it today. Lots of minor modifications (mistakes) and although this pattern was supposed to be pure black work, I decided to give the potion bottles colors.

Instead of framing it I decided to do my very first flat fold and I’m tickled at how well it turned out. I couldn’t find a cord I liked so I dove into my yarn stash and braided a cord for the sides. (thank you 123stitch.com you tube video https://youtu.be/YPcVFehSJqw?is=d7EeO6ohuiCgr3BD

I messed up a couple squares but since it’s symmetrical it doesn’t look off.

I got the pattern from Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/4463457181/strawberry-cross-stitch-pattern-pdf-folk?ref=share_ios_native_control

Hey everyone! I'm back with Part 3, and the process is moving forward!

Now it's not just the eyes — the nose and more details of his face are finally appearing on the 18 count Aida canvas. It's so exciting to see the progress!

How do you like this timelapse format? Is there anything you think I should change or improve in the next videos? Let me know what you think. ❤️

Pattern details: Custom pattern by Ukrainian designer Alexander Stitch, based on my daughter's drawing.

I’m feeling Christmasy 😂 Please share your favorite quick Christmas patterns to help me scratch the itch! (No full coverage please - I’m three years in to working on my husband’s stocking and we’ve since had two babies. Maybe I’ll have them all done in ten years or so)

WIP [WIP] Finally! The main body of "Fight Like A Girl" by Tanya Amity is complete. I just have a ton of back stitching now. I know it looks crooked, but the fabric is just stretched badly and I will fix it when I do the blocking.

Ok.

This was the first time I ever embroidered on wood.

And compared to fabric.... It was hell.

Then I got used to embroidering with floss.

Then came embellishments. And once again it was hell.

Then I got used to it.

And now once it's finished (I will cover the back once I get the glue) and is looking soooo pretty I am thinking about ordering a second one of those.

P.s. it's a kit by WonderlandCrafts the key is FLW-009

CHAT [CHAT] Uk recommendations from frame stitchers

Hi all.

I'm after some recommendations please from UK stitchers.

I've been stitching for 20 years (on and off) but have done a lot more lately. Unfortunately the arthritis in my hands is also advancing. I've always stitched in hand as I really hate moving a hoop, but it's starting to get very difficult to hold. I'm after some recommendations for a frame that can be attached to stand - I'm thinking one of those scrolling ones as I usually work on largish pieces (100cm x 100cm).

Or alternatively, techniques others use to combat hand fatigue and pain.

CHAT [CHAT] Leti Stitch as digital patterns

Hi guys,

I've had a 4 year break from cross stitching due to life and health. A few weeks ago I caught the stitching bug again and bought a kit from Leti Stitch - Luna's Garden. When the kit arrived I remembered that I really prefer to have my patterns in Pattern Keeper and the chart is really big on paper. After the Markup X-RP update I downloaded that app to try my hands at getting the chart uploaded to it. I just couldn't get the paper pages to lay perfectly flat while taking pictures, so the uploading process descended into frustration and annoyance.

I thought I'd contact Leti Stitch to see if they have PDF versions available for people who have already bought a kit.

I got an answer today. Turns out there is a QR code on the key page of the chart and if you scan that and use the discount code right above the QR code, you can get the digital file sent to you for free. i felt like a doofus for not realising any of this, but it wasn't spelled out anywhere in the pattern.

Just thought I'd share here in case it could help other stitchers :-)

ETA: Just realised that the digital file only has the chart, not the symbol key, so we will have to manually assign the colours to symbols. It's better than nothing, though.

I somehow in the last 5 years gotten into the habit of giving my brother in law small dinosaurs on his Christmas cards. Do you have any patterns you could recommend that are fun to make and does not take too long to stitch.

The images are what I have made so far but I have also given him a pterodactyl and a Tree-rex.
