Hello everyone!

my name is ali, i'm a cs student (and former security guard) turned gamedev!

i started game dev around 2 years ago i think but i could never dare to attempt to develop a full game, until someday i decided i've had enough and committed to pursue my passion and this is the result!

i released my first game ever on steam this month and it didn't do too bad i think :).

i had way too many sleepless nights, way too many days where i haven't left my house, but to me, even ifs not a massive success, i think its worth it, not for the monetary gain, but the feeling that i have done something in my life that people have fun playing, something that has my name in it, something that if something were to happen to me, i know that atleast i didn't go without a trace lol.

i love vampire survivors, i love RPGs, so i decide to combine them both into one game and this is the result, Echoes of Kyria:

We're launching our cozy strategy game on the same day as GTA VI

We're a small indie team developing a low-pressure cozy strategy game, called Flame, Forest & Flood, that features Elemental tiles used to conquer your opponents across unique game boards.

The goal: conquer as much rival territory as possible before the round ends.

There are 3 Elemental mascots - Blaze for flame, Adeer for forest and Herr Mitt for flood.

A breakdown of the mechanics:

Flame can conquer Forest > Forest can conquer Flood > Flood can conquer Flame

The game mechanics are very simple to pick up but the game offers surprising depth as you strategize against your opponents.

Between matches you can build and customize your own garden, we have some exciting new features coming up soon too.

We're also launching on the same day as GTA VI! Appealing to cozy and strategy gamers who are wanting to play something fresh and unique!

My dad and I finally released our medieval tower defense game on Android

Hi everyone!

My dad has been working on Stormhold: Tower Defense for quite a while, and we've finally reached the point where we can release it on Android. I've been helping him with the promotion and launch, so it's pretty exciting for us to finally be able to share it.

It's a medieval fantasy tower defense focused on building and upgrading your defenses, choosing the right towers for each situation, and surviving increasingly difficult waves of enemies.

The game is completely free to play, and it can also be played offline, so you don't need an internet connection once you have it installed.

We wanted to keep the classic tower defense feeling rather than turn it into something completely different, while adding our own maps, enemies, progression and mechanics.

We've mainly tested it on relatively powerful phones, where it runs well. Performance can vary depending on the device though, so if you try it, we'd also really appreciate hearing how it performs on your phone.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stormholdstudios.stormhold&pcampaignid=web_share

Any feedback is genuinely welcome — difficulty, balancing, towers, performance, things you like or things you think we could improve.

Thanks for checking it out! ❤️

This is from Lost Cat Showa Town, a cat exploration game I’m currently developing.
I’ve been adding more little activities around the town, and now you can stop by a ramen stand for a meal.

Inspired by Pico Park and Hazelight (Split Fiction/It Takes Two) we made our own Co-op game for 4-12 players. We just released our Steam Page today.

We are finally public with our Steam Page for our game: Squarelings.
A substantial demo will be available at Steam Next Fest, where you'll be able to play 11 levels that showcase the game. The game can be played locally, online or a combination of both.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4887300/Squarelings/

-------

Squarelings is a 4–12 player co-op puzzle platformer built around teamwork, communication and chaos.

Grab your friends and work together through a variety of levels designed to constantly change how you play the game.

One level might be all about careful platforming and perfect timing. The next might have you blasting lasers from your spaceship, stacking as food ingredients or making a painting together.

If one player fails, everybody fails.

---

AI tools were used to assist in the creation of some 2D visual assets and music used in the game. AI-assisted assets were created under developer direction, reviewed and edited by the developers before inclusion.

I Created this Cute Character who is supposed to be a Sloth bear. and i really like this sitting idle animation close up. Wonder if this can turn into one of those Viral gifs?

So I created this character as the first character the player meets in my game (leftWild). kind of like a guide or simply someone who will point you in the right direction.

anyways, he will mainly be sitting and eating. so i created this idle sitting animation. but forgot to give the bear a collider so you could pass through him, or get like really close to his face. leading to this funny view.

I've just released my first ever game on Steam and I'm not sure if I've made a mistake.

I hadn't touched game development since 2015 when I was a kid. I wanted to get back into it, and being extremely naive, I decided to make a survival game. If someone had told me how hard this actually is, I probably wouldn't have bothered. But by the time I realised, I'd already sunk two months into it. It was rough around the edges, but the core systems were basically done.

After seeing how much work it actually takes, I decided I wanted to focus on smaller, more fun and stupid projects instead. But since I'd already put in hundreds of hours on Salt and Schooners, I figured I'd see it through and release it, if only to learn the Steamworks process properly and actually ship something.

I've ironed out most of the bugs I found through playtesting, though I know it's far from perfect. Nothing game breaking that I'm aware of. Since getting back into dev, I've got some other projects in the works that I'm genuinely proud of. This one, not so much.

I've already paid the Steam fee and it's live, for free. But since I'm not that proud of it compared to what's coming next, is it worth just taking it down altogether?

I built a number-free logic puzzle around one rule: Nimblins can’t touch

I’m the developer of Nimblins, a mobile logic puzzle built around placing little creatures on a grid. Every row, column, and colored region needs the required number of Nimblins, but none may touch — not even diagonally.

I wanted the deduction feel of Sudoku-style puzzles without turning the board into a wall of numbers. The game has Classic puzzles, a Daily Puzzle, Endless mode, and hints that point at a useful deduction rather than solve the board for you.

Pre-registration is open on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.berkisoftware.nimblins

I’d genuinely love to hear which part of this kind of puzzle makes you keep playing: the first clean deduction, the harder boards, or daily streaks?

After 6 months of building Damn Zombies, I've finally opened the beta

Hey everyone!

For the last six months I've been working on my multiplayer FPS, Damn Zombies.

In April I lost my job, and I decided to use the time I suddenly had to go all-in on the project.

Since then I've been working on it full-time — coding, designing, testing, fixing bugs, and creating a few new bugs while fixing the old ones. 😅

I'm really happy to finally reach a milestone I've been working toward for months:

Damn Zombies is now in beta.

It's a fast-paced multiplayer FPS focused on chaotic gunfights, movement, and close encounters inside a maze-like environment built from shipping containers.

I'm at the point now where testing the game myself isn't enough. I really need actual players to get into matches, push the systems, find problems, and tell me what feels good — or what doesn't.

I'm especially looking at:

  • Weapon feel and balance
  • Movement
  • Spawns
  • Map flow and navigation
  • Multiplayer/networking
  • Bugs and exploits
  • Overall fun and pacing

If you'd like to give it a try:

Create an account:
https://www.damn-zombies.com/signup

Beta access:
https://www.damn-zombies.com/account#beta

Download:
https://www.damn-zombies.com/account#downloads

I'm the developer and I'll be around in the comments, so I'm happy to answer questions about the game or development.

Thanks for taking a look. I've poured a huge amount of time and energy into this over the last six months, and getting it into the hands of real players feels like a pretty big moment for me.

GenAI disclosure: Some assets used during development were created with AI-assisted generation, and AI-assisted modeling was used to help scaffold some basic weapon models before further development work. The game does not rely on GenAI to function. I also used ChatGPT to help edit and polish the wording of this Reddit post.

Reaction – A Physics Puzzler, Now in the Browser

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A while ago I made a game called Reaction and since then I've been annoying people to go and try it out. I've made a version which you can play online, like the Flash games of yesteryear.

What is exactly? Well, it's a physics-puzzler where geometry falls from the sky and you guide it with your paddle towards the evacuation shafts on each side before the play area inevitably spills and it's game over. There's single player and local multiplayer, so maybe give it a go! 🕹🎮

The Hunter's Inn : A short dark fantasy turn based RPG releasing September 7th!

https://youtube.com/shorts/EMuCXFPikF8?feature=share

Hey r/IndieGaming!

I’m currently developing The Hunter’s Inn, a concise (30–60 min) turn based RPG with a dark fantasy aesthetic, releasing on September 7th!

You play as an adventurer taking contracts from a local quest board in the last remaining refuge against the Demon King. The gameplay relies on a dice based board game exploration loop combined with simultaneous turn based combat where timing, tactical positioning, and reading enemy patterns are key.

  • Focused, no-filler experience designed to be played in a single sitting (30–60 mins).
  • Tactical turn-based combat with deep freedom to customize your skill tree and specialization.
  • Atmospheric lore inspired by classic RPG bestiaries and cosmic horror.

There won't be a demo before launch, so if the project sounds interesting to you, adding it to your Steam Wishlist would help me out tremendously as an indie dev!

Wishlist on Steam

Graphics & Art: Original asset concepts, sketches, and draft designs were created by the developer and subsequently rendered or refined using generative AI tools. While the underlying concepts and designs are original creations, generative AI may occasionally produce visual similarities to existing artistic styles or works.

Voice Acting: Character voices and audio narration were generated using ElevenLabs voice synthesis technology and are used in accordance with the applicable licensing and usage terms.

Bottlecappers: a factory management roguelite where six investors review your KPIs every quarter and the only way out is buying them all out. Free demo coming soon on Steam

Thumbnail
youtube.com
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm a solo dev working evenings on Bottlecappers, a factory management roguelite about building bottle cap production lines. You start every run with a single line, producing caps fills an unlock meter and each threshold lets you choose where to grow, deeper into your material or into a new one (cork, plastic, aluminum, composites at the top). The catch is the investor who funded your plant: six of them, one KPI each, quarterly reviews with thresholds that keep rising, fail too many and the run is over. Beat their challenge, buy back every share and the factory is finally yours. The whole thing is corporate language taking bottle caps terribly seriously.

The Steam page is live and the free demo has just been approved, so it's coming very soon: wishlisting is the best way to know when it drops. Happy to answer anything!

AI disclosure: the game is written in Italian and localized into 10 more languages with AI assistance, human and community review ongoing.

I made a game where you build the tallest crystal tower - CRYSTALSTACK

Hey everyone !

I've been working on my indie game, CrystalStack.

The idea is simple :

Build the tallest tower you can using physically simulated glass blocks.

Every block matters. Place one slightly wrong and the whole tower can become unstable.

The game features:

• Physics-based glass blocks

• Realistic glass materials and reflections

• Satisfying collisions and destruction

• Challenging tower building

• A clean, atmospheric environment

I'm aiming for a simple concept that's easy to understand, but surprisingly difficult to master.

🎮 CrystalStack is comming on steam :

CrystalStack

Here's a short gameplay clip:

I'd really love to hear your feedback

Thanks for checking out CrystalStack!
