Ashes of the Wake released 22 years ago today. Whats the best song on the album?
Has to be Òmerta in my opinion, probably one of the best songs ever made. But the whole album is a masterpiece

Lamb of God Play "Now You've Got Something to Die For" at Zakk Wylde's Berzerkus Festival (Jones Beach Theater - Aug. 29, 2026)

As I watched Lamb Of God tear through "Now You've Got Something to Die For" during their headlining set at Zakk Wylde's Berzerkus Festival at Jones Beach Theater in Long Island this past Saturday (Aug. 29), it dawned on me - "Holy Crap, 'Ashes of the Wake' turns 22 years old on Aug. 30..." I also had a "holy crap" moment when I remembered that this summer marks 20 years since I saw LOG live for the first time (the Unholy Alliance Tour with Slayer in Camden, NJ). It's insane to think how powerful and fresh LOG still sound even after more than two decades - and as he proved that night at Jones Beach Theater, Randy Blythe is still a for to be reckoned with onstage.
Watch Lamb Of God playing the aforementioned song in this clip. Also watch highlights from the entire day at Berzerkus Festival (which also included sets from Black Label Society, Down, Suicidal Tendencies, and Zakk Sabbath) here:

Lamb Of God, Zakk Wylde, Down and More at Berzerkus Festival at Jones Beach Theater (Aug. 29, 2026)
Thanks to WSOU, I got a last minute chance to go to Zakk Wylde's Berzerkus Festival at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY, on Aug. 29, 2026. It had been a long time since I've been to a day long festival dedicated to metal, and needless to say, I had a blast - with Lamb Of God, Black Label Society, Down, Suicidal Tendencies and Zakk Sabbath delivering spectacular sets. And Jones Beach Theater really is a spectacular place to see a concert.
I'll be sharing more memories and videos from each bands' set overtime. For now, enjoy this collection of snippets from each band:

Got Into Oblivion special edition for roughly 6€.
It's only missing the grey sleeve but I say that's pretty damn worth it. And I gotta say the artwork looks so much better in person and I absolutely love the inside of the case. I have yet to listen to the bonus song.

Bury Me Under the Sun
Amazing song. This song is newer to me than their latest release as I have owned Resolution for many a year, I recently re bought a few albums because Ama zon redid a lot of their music to make it better quality. I noticed 3 songs were on Resolution that were not on my original one. "Digital Sands", "Bury Me Under the Sun", and "Hit the Wall". I had Hit the Wall somehow from somewhere before, I honestly can't remember but it was nice to get a better version of it. "Bury Me Under the Sun" is a banger. Can't believe I was missing out and why that didn't make the original release is beyond me. Imo, would be like "Hourglass" or something not making it onto Ashes.
Wrath also came with 3 extra songs I had never had nor heard. "We Die Alone", "Shoulder of Your God", and "Condemn the Hive". I'm sure there are ways of converting 128 kbs files into higher kbs rates without rebuying albums but I don't mind throwing extra support to bands that I love. Just wanted to possibly inform those that may be missing out as well.

Vocal covers
I have seen a lot of takes about posting vocal covers, especially mine, and I just wanted to give my insight.
I am new to Reddit, first and foremost. I’m 24, live in a small town and didn’t grow up around a lot of social media. So it’s fair to say I don’t understand the algorithm. I also haven’t listened to metal my whole life, or music in general for that matter. I discovered my love for metal and Lamb of God about 3 years ago. I remember the first time I heard Walk With Me In Hell, thinking what the fuck was that and knowing that I wanted to try to do that.
I’ve been practicing for 2 years now, and I believe it when I say I have good metal vocals. Are they exactly like Randy’s? Absolutely not. They are my own, but I feel the work I’ve put in is paying off so far. Randy is my fucking idol, and I love trying my hardest to cover their songs.
That being said, do I only want to do vocal covers and never do my own thing? Hell no. I’m sure anyone who practices vocals has many ideas and wants to put them out there, as I am working on and will be doing in the near future. I post these videos because
1. I enjoy making them.
2. I love hearing any feedback/tips, or just opinions on how it sounds.
And 3. Because I love this band

That Time I Saw Lamb Of God at NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom Right After a Blizzard (Jan. 25, 2016)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Lamb of God released 'Sacrament' 20 years ago today (Aug. 22), a few weeks after I saw them live for the first time (on the Unholy Alliance Tour woth Slayer, Mastodon and Children of Bodom). Lucky to say I ended up seeing them a ton more times live within the span of 10 years. What makes the last time I saw them on stage (Hammerstein Ballroom with Anthrax, Deafheaven and Power Trip on Jan. 25, 2016) particularly memorable though was that it almost didn't happen thanks to a massive blizzard that it the Tri State area that week. Thankfully they were able to reschedule the show for two days after it was initially was scheduled for.... and as seen in the last picture, didn't take me too long to shovel my car out of snow. 🤭

What is the rarest piece of LOG related merch you own?
Looking through my collection and just wanted to see what others considered their most rare LOG item. Mine is either their Angel of Death denim jacket from a few years ago, their pure silver ounce with Ashes of the Wake embossed on it, or maybe some of their autographed stuff like books, albums or vinyls. What about you guys?
