What should you do if someone injected you with something at a concert?

Upvotes

Let’s say you feel the needle enter your arm and cold fluid enter you. Then a stinging pain for an hour or two after it happened.

You turned around but the person already was gone mixed in with the crowd when you looked. You don’t know who it was or who injected you with it. Huge crowd outdoors so no cameras can clarify. Can doctors even help if there are no further symptoms?

Is this guy that I met possibly a vampire???

Upvotes

Long story short, on Halloween, my friend and I were scaring the kids in the neighborhood, and this kid came up to us and started a convo. He was a foreign exchange student, and he looked like any 15 year old kid. He was just wearing jeans and a hoodie, and when I say this guy looks young, he looks really young. The 15 year olds at school probably look older than him. We just talked about stuff like video games, hobbies, traveling, life here and where he’s from, all that. When the neighborhood kids came over, we told him to grab the candy from inside the house, but he stopped and asked if he could go in. I should also he is extremely pale, as in skin shining under the moonlight kind of pale. Eventually the conversation I asked him how old he is, and he asked me to guess “how old do you think I am?” I answered with 15, but he replied with 22, which was extremely surprising. I was seriously shocked. Is there anything I can do to ward off vampires???

Would you drive a friend 20 minutes out of your way after 10 PM

Upvotes

Made a post earlier but this one is more specific

Would you drive a friend home if it was a 20-minute detour, especially late at night?

For context, say it's after 10 PM and you're already driving home. Your friend's home is about a 20-minute detour from your route.

Would you normally just drive them all the way home, or would you think twice about it?

What if you could instead drop them off at a nearby SkyTrain/transit station, and from there they have about a 15-minute commute to get home? Would you still drive them directly home, or would you consider dropping them at the station reasonable since it saves you the 20-minute detour?

I'm curious what people consider a reasonable amount of effort when giving a friend a ride, especially late at night.

In today’s society, what do you think has caused people to be so afraid of other people?

Upvotes

I remember the days when a knock on your door was a sign of company. Today, it triggers anxiety and a sense of danger. I personally don’t use dating apps because I think everyone is a murderer. What do you think has caused us to change?

what is considered hot and cold weather?

Upvotes

im trying to make a list for a world im creating where i need to differentiate all animals based off of temperature. So like I have a list of cold, warm, and hot and where each animal lives based off the temperature of that area they get put in one of the sections. For example, the Aardvark, it lives in about the middle and south of africa-ish. idk how else to explain it. And its temperature is about 80-90f/20-30c.~ what im going with this is that 90f/30c~ is hot to me but not to someone else i know. and 30f/-1.1~ is not too cold to me but the other person is freezing. So what would be about average temperature for those three sections? (cold, warm, hot)

How do I age like a vampire?

Upvotes

I think it’s so fascinating when people get mistaken for being 18 when they’re like 35 or something. How can I age like a vampire??

On Halloween last year, this foreign exchange student came up to my friend and I who were in my friend’s neighborhood and started a convo. He seemed like any regular 15 year old, just a regular guy in jeans and a hoodie. He had a really young face too, and the 15 year olds from school easily look older than this exchange student. We just talked about video games and stuff, and he was chill. When the neighborhood kids came to ask for candy, I told him to grab the candy from the house, but he stopped and asked for permission to go in. Later, I asked him how old he was, and he told me to guess. I said 15, but he said that he’s 22. I was absolutely shocked. How can I age like that???

Does asking users if they’re 18+ actually work? Would any teenagers really choose “under 18”?

How do you tell someone ‘no thanks’ without feeling guilty, and never have done it before?

Upvotes

Worst mistake of my life. I (25f) somehow ended up talking to some dude (possibly mid twenties) today at coffee shop, he spoke to me first. We chatted a bit about games, anime and about me wanting to play games like Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh again. We exchanged discords and less than five minutes after leaving he asked if I was open to a relationship. I said ‘no’ but then a bit later asked for my Instagram.

I’m scared, we were gonna chill out in a public spot later tonight but now I don’t know. I want to find some excuse (maybe my dog eating garbage) or something like a friend calling me for emergency. I don’t know, I’ve never had to turn someone down because I never really met someone before. I have too many health issues to sort out for anything right now.

What do I do? What would you say?

Why is it so expensive to get a beauty license?

Upvotes

You can go work at fastfood without even a high school diploma where you can possibly give food poisoning to hundreds of pople.

At 16 years old you can get a license to drive an F150 that has the potential to kill a dozen people in a second. All you need to to take a simple written test, a simple driver test, and you are done after maybe a few hundred dollars in spend.

But to get a beauty license you need like a year of schooling, 10k+ in tuition.

Why are people just blindly going around saying that energy drinks are dangerous and bad for you?

Upvotes

Anytime you ask one of these people to prove their claim, they tell you to look it up. Isn’t it the responsibility of the person making a claim to provide proof for their claim?

Edit: I have to be specific that i’m only talking about zero sugar energy drinks since everyone is mentioning sugar

The only way I can think of is if they get paid by TV providers, but since cord-cutting has been a thing for the past 7 or so years, that wouldn't make sense.

Could i ask for my leg back if it was amputated?

Upvotes

Honest question,

If for some reason my leg had to be amputated, could i make the explicit request for the leg to be given to me once amputated? It's a part of me, i own it more than anything else in that world, seems only logical to ask for it after separation.

I won't lie, this is a two layer question. The main reason would be to try and cook some of it, just to know how it tastes. It's litteraly my own body, so to me, it feels completely fine ethically, even if its a bit weird. But at this point you can either throw it away or do something with it, and i'd choose the latter. Is it ok from a legal perspective?

And no i'm not a psycho, just curious. And no i'm not planning on making something happen to my leg ^^

Not sure if its breaking the rule 8 of the sub, but i wanted to ask

edit: ok i'm sorry, this felt like natural curiosity but maybe i should talk to someone after reading the comments :(
