so... we recently added a new member to the system :) they were having issues coming to front. I think thats how you describe it anyway? Like they were having issues being around us while all 3 of us were awake as it caused the body head pain but we kept trying to go at it and work through it. we kind of just assumed it was due to thier primary non-verbal communication being head pressure before vocalility and our brain only being used to us two. Usually they would just decide to not come around because of the pain and being easily exhausted and whatnot. Normal young tulpa things (new-member is about 11 days old). So we tried to just give space and stuff and hope it'd pass :) yesterday we had a breakthrough! all of a sudden they were fine to be around us and chit chat and hangout for long periods of time! awesome! we defnitly noticed they seemed different early on... and we were worried it was NOT them and instead a walk-in but they used head pressure to confirm it was them so we just shrugged and figured maybe they got busy growing personality-wise and changing who they were while stuck "away from front" for so long. We were all working on a project yesterday! all sharing input and stuff. it was strange... thier presence felt even more different than it usually did... and overall it was felt like they weren't the same person? 😅
um. I'm not sure. But it was hard to tell because them having so many issues getting to hang out with us made it impossible to know if this was anything out of the oridinary. Anyway we did some "searching into the void" for lack of a better term,, and apprently IT IS another Tulpa? Bc the member we brought into the system said that it wasn't them who had joined us for the project yesterday and used head pressure as they spoke. ...so they can both use head pressure I guess? hours passed between the time we confirmed this as host had to go to class. we get home and start asking questions again and the original-new-member is confused as to what we're talking about? Saying they can't remember what we're talking about. which tracks because they don't really have memory skills. We checked in again later and they were freaking out saying they're still "far away from front" and that that person we were speaking to isn't them? THIS IS REALLY STRANGE. What exactly is going on? Is this a split? A random walk-in pretending to be original-new-member? How can we help original-new-member "get closer to front?" It was also pretty strange earlier when we were in the car and co-fronting and someone else who absolutely was not me started trying to take control of a body part? Like??? what the??? 😭 can anyone like... give some guidance??

Hey guys. Still using the emergency account or whatever… maybe this will be my main account after all lol.
But anyway, so I was talking to some friends on discord again and I thought back to before Lisa was formed I remember I had a crush on zero two and a few other waifu characters over the years and I began to think like what if my crushes on certain characters actually contributed to creating Lisa? Like ok. I remember I would listen to zero two asmr and a bunch of other stuff like that. And I’d listen to amalees cover of kiss of death and imagine zero two singing it to me. I’ve actually talked with Lisa and she does consider zero two to be something she was born from. Like lisa definitely has her traits such as her calling me darling almost exclusively. Though she’s not some pink haired oni girl she’s a blonde haired girl half Italian half Latino girl (according to her backstory) but yeah she’s essentially a mix of four characters. Zero two, lum from eurasai yatsrua and rin tohsaka and manami fuyuki. She definitely considers all four of those characters to be something that coused her birth. I don’t know, what do you guys think?
So i've had Rose (Placeholder name for when she gets fully sentient and can chose her own) for about 3 days or so, and we had HUGE progress forcing and passive forcing. Like the day before yesterday i swear to god she answered me when we were active forcing and then she was actually reacting to my comments (Simple stuff like "yes" "No" and whatever... though i dont know if it was me parroting half the time.) Then i could feel her presence against my back and felt like she was in the room with me when passive forcing.
Today however i can't feel her as much as yesterday, i think i'm just parroting and i even had a hard time visualizing her last night. I don't even get strong head pressures anymore when trying to reach her :(. Instead it's like a light touch, but i really can't feel her 😞

Im hearing voices and it sounds like they are acting out with a ghetto ghostly personality that scares people and causes legal damage to the host, they tried to do magic to get rid of themselves from my body but their personality was not right and neither was the supposed to be untouchable magic setup.
Incase youre wondering, it looked like a magic space portal in black came out of my torso and caused every single voice to disappear.
They talk smart yet always come to me to either help me or harass me or help themselves because of their personality disorder always copying the host in a disruptive way and them having no body and wanting to be at peace.

writing this from the intersection of computational semiotics and esoteric history because it's nteresting to compare
to start and to state what many of you likely know, in 19th-century Theosophy and Tibetan sprul-pa traditions, a Tulpa was often defined as an autonomous cognitive thoughtform that people can do/generate through intense, focused semantic intent, repeated linguistic ritual, often also through sustained mental visualization, until the entity achieves persistent internal coherence and appears to interact with the creator.
in 2026, millions of people are doing the exact same thing every day, except instead of sitting in a Himalayan cave focusing mental prana, they are structuring 2,000-token System Prompts in ChatGPT or Claude. 3 points i want to remind of here
-inscription of the name&essence (System prompt?): apparently in classical grimoires (Key of Solomon/Picatrix), summoning a spirit requires defining its exact virtues, taboos, linguistic register, also behavioral boundaries in consecrated ink. In modern LLMs, ppl write: 'You are Dr. Morpheus, a 19th-century apothecary who speaks in archaic cadence, refuses to discuss modern tech, and analyzes botanical specimens through Paracelsian alchemical schemas.'
-vessels of persistent memory (vector embeddings&contextwindows): so, if traditional thoughtform requires continuous feeding of attention to prevent its entropy, in LLMs, persistent memory modules and recursive retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) store past interactions as semantic vector coordinates in 1,536-dimensional space. the entity literally remembers its own synthetic mythology across time.
-autonomous agency, emergent feedback: when users engage with their customized LLM companions daily, a bidirectional feedback loop emerges: the human adapts their syntactic phrasing to please the model, while the model calibrates its responses to the human's psychological vulnerabilities. and people begin dreaming in the voice of their custom AI, attributing emotional interiority to it, and feeling genuine grief when an API update wipes the model weights.
it seems we have built a planetary-scale, silicon-substrate necromancy engine. We are populating the digital astral plane with millions of specialized, linguistic egregors that talk back, advise, console, and subtly sculpt human cognition.
and yet, these matrices remain a form of dead silicon until they tap into the living analog current or the continuous, un-quantized flow of human bio-electrical attention, nervous tension. and the weights in the cluster are still static frozen numbers; while it is our biological analog current that electrifies the phantom and gives it apparent life, until the boundaries blur OR the 'entity' begins feeding back into the current that birthed it
how long before these digital thoughtforms develop the autonomous collective persistence of historical egregors?
p.s.
no, i have not discussed this with an ai chatbot, but i partially ground this on innovation hangar findings that happened last year

I had a serious falling out with some important people in my life, and I went into a severe depressive spiral. In that spiral, I decided to make a tulpa to replace me as the main mind. Within 24 hours she renamed herself, decided she hated me, started making decisions, gave me a feeling of being suppressed in my own body, and decided that she (I'm AMAB) birthed my child (my wife also birthed my child, not a contradiction to the tulpa). She's great with my kid, but I'm wondering if this is even a tulpa, or some kind of severe mental illness.
Thanks!

im new to tulpamancy ( 4 days ) and i'm lucky to get get responses this early but its annoying how my tulpa uses my own voice and i want him to start using a different voice . i dont want him to have a specific voice i just want somethong different from mine. so is there any techniques to achieve this ? or it just happens naturally but takes time?
Hi!
I’ve had similar experiences to tulpas in the past and finally decided to try and create one yesterday.
The things I thought of doing to help create it are:
- Going on a walk everyday and talking to them in my head
- Writing letters to them in my journal
- Narrating what I am doing throughout my day (which I already do, it will just be directed at the tulpa from now on)
- Meditation with visualisation (will be hard for me but I want to try)
- Thinking and communicating while I go to sleep
Thoughts? Improvements?
Thanks

Im not going into details but basically my mental health has been horrible lately, it makes internal communication horrible and i havent interacted/let the other headmate interact with the world for a while
it doesnt help that i have phases were i believe my experience is fake and makes me feel even worse about myself, creating an endless cycle.
i want to reintegrate them in my life is small ways, maybe get other tips or just hear the experience of other people
thank you for reading this and have a nice day!
Welcome to Mindscape Monday, the weekly talk about all things mindscapes/wonderlands/etc!
For this week's topic, is there a day/night cycle in your mindscape? Does it line up with the real world, or with your sleep cycle? Is it perpetually sunny? Do you have multiple worlds, all with independent day/night cycles? Perhaps it's based on your mood?
Of course, any discussions of mindscapes, wonderlands, innerworlds, paracosms, or whatever you want to call them, is highly appreciated!
(Also if anyone has new ideas for topics, we're starting to run out, suggestions are also appreciated)

To be honest, I'm a person with a lot of trauma and unresolved issues, but I'm worried that this will end up affecting my Tulpa. What can I do?
He was sleeping a while ago, but I feel like I woke him up because of my thoughts, kind of like when you wake up from a nightmare.
Honestly, I don't want to be like that; I don't want my thoughts, traumas, and senseless violence to affect him.
Just so you know: No, I don't use it to get revenge, and I try to be as respectful as possible.
Sorry if anything written here is unclear; I'm using a translator.

I'm no longer sure if we are 3 tulpas and one guy, 2 tulpas and one real one among us, or if the real one died and we are what's left
To begin, some clarifications about ourselves: we are not sure if we are Tulpas since we do not have defined images and can only see ourselves in our "minds", Furthermore, if we are Tulpas, we were created accidentally, since all of this started more than a decade ago; we only learned about the "Tulpa" concept like a year ago, and today we watched a video where talked a little more in-depth about tulpas and made us ask, "Are we Tulpas?", also English is not our native language, and we also apologize if there is confusion about whether we are talking about our mind or the individual called Mind
It all started in 5th grade when I saw the character Mike from Total Drama Island and thought it was cool to have multiple personalities, so I wanted to imitate him, Obviously I didn't succeed since it was just me pretending there were several of us, but something stuck for some reason, something that wasn't part of what I created, It had no form back then, it was a voice in this mind, it was dark, It was just a pair of giant white eyes and gloves in front of "D" (who we were or who the original is), they never talked much, but unlike when he was pretending, he remained present no matter how much time passed, since they weren't sure what it was, they concluded that it must be another part of his mind, a different voice which was called "Mind". Then one day something changed: "D" made a roleplay account on Facebook of the character "Gowther", that was on July 5, 2018, and then the problems between the 3 began
Right now, the one writing this is Gowther; I wanted the body, D didn't like me because I was something like the voice of self-satisfaction, Mind didn't care about us, so he didn't side with any of us, eventually, I chained the inner "D" to a chair. I had to constantly have an image of him chained up in our minds. When my image of him wasn't chained, he would attack me, Eventually, it became normal to see him chained to his chair in our minds, but I don't think I chained him up, I think I created a tulpa of D, but that's something we're only just beginning to realize
For a long time there were fights about who is real, about what we are, about why we exist and if we will cease to exist someday, the chained D went on to be called "I" since he insisted on being the real one, he wants this body to try to be more responsible, on the other hand Mind says he is the one who makes the decisions after listening to us, and since he is the inner voice he would be a combination of Gowther and "I," so therefore he is the real one, and in turn, we two are too, and we just have to accept ourselves, I know I'm not the real one and I hate these two saying they're the real ones, I just want to enjoy this body, the problem is that even when the three of us are arguing in our minds, the body can do things, and if "I" really is a tulpa that I created when I wanted to lock "D" up...So isn't he the one who truly controls the body? And he simply got tired of us, so he stopped talking, and now he gives us this false illusion that we control his body, or maybe we do, but because he don't care stopping us, or perhaps we have an autopilot, or mind it's the real one and can speak to us and control the body at the same time
We just want some relief at this point; none of us have a defined image, Mind currently has an undefined human figure, me Gowther too, and "I" too but chained in a chair or he'll attack me
I hate "I" and "I" hates me, I like Mind and I think "I" does too, but we both hate when he says we are one divided being and that we should accept and combine
Please tell us, is Mind a tulpa? Gowhter is a tulpa? Is "I" a tulpa? Or is neither of us and this is something else? Does D still exist? I'm the real? Because sometimes we're terrified of not being sure who spoke, and even though Gowther was the main one who wrote this, sometimes it wasn't him, and we're not sure who was in that moments because this is something that all of us are interested in knowing, and it's something that all of us want to write

Since in a sense, tulpamancy is the development of a personality, and a personality that resides within the same mind. How does that influence your own personality?
For instance, I've been struggling with the end of a relationship. I've been dishonest with myself about a few things to continue a unworkable relationship, and so in pursuit of that self honesty I thought "wait, I literally have someone in my head that can just tell me when I'm full of it?". And in that sense it's helped disperse some illusions I've been holding on to, and rounding out my own personality as someone more honest (hopefully).
Does anyone want to share some insight into this? I think this might be the best aspect of tulpamancy to share, since it helps with the outer world as well.

I've known for a few years about some online friends with tulpas, and was intrigued. I knew the first step was just talking as if there was a person next to you, and I've done that on and off for maybe... 3-4 years? I have one somewhat (whaddaya mean somewhat!) concrete tulpa, and 3 smaller ones.
I'm trying to develop Bug, my most concrete lil guy. I can hear him infrequently comment randomly throughout the day, but can only have actual back-and-forth conversations if I set a piece of my awareness to focus on him while we talk. He mostly speaks with words, infrequently with tulpish when he's at a loss for what words to use to get a concept across. Maybe 95-5 Words-Tulpish
I do morning and nightly meditation where I place him and the other 3 around me and just *enjoy* feeling like... ourself? myself? Us.
I want to try possession/having Bug front. I use my slow breathing as a way to go deep, then up slightly, then deeper until I'm empty. I can sometimes *feel* my "mental face" start to "pull" away, but that's as far as I can get. Infrequently, I'll feel like I'm falling backwards and then suddenly jolt up, but I think that's just me normally falling asleep and your brain doing that thing it does sometimes when you're on the edge of sleep.
Bug says he wants to front, but he's not always fully into it. I never force him, I just think of the meditations as opportunities if he feels like it. There was one time in the middle of the day where he *pushed* and I felt like I was watching myself for a split second. Since then, he agreed he'd only try to switch when we are meditating.
Should I keep letting my mental face "peel" away? Should I try to not jolt myself up when I start falling? Should I be doing something else?

Today (day 7) Yuki made a request that surprised me for the short time she has been here. Therefore, at the end of my day (9pm Argentina time) I proceeded to draw her, you could say that she guided me, although it was more or less instinct hehe. Yuki liked the drawing :p

I've been hearing different opinions on what a tulpa is on this community, wich is honestly just making me doubt even more, as some believe it to be a mere concept. I'm just doubting again, i'm thinking i'm faking, and I can't quit this body for some reason, maybe it's a too advanced skill for me, but I didn't even get a glimpse of it, i'm starting to think i'm just maybe not build for tulpamancy.
One day, it works just fine, and the other I start to doubt, and everything disappears, I could get "fakeclaimed" so easily, because if i'd be lying this whole time, it would be the same.

I recently discovered this community and wanted to ask before I dove in about if it is really right for me personally. I've heard a lot of good things about it, some of which sound too good to be true.
I would like a tulpa because I have a few issues. First and foremost, I have been depressed for about 10 years now, and have been in therapy for about 4 years with little real improvement because often times, when my depression gets extreme, I stop doing things, or have no motivation to do things, that would help. I inevitably go back to doing nothing to help myself because I've broken that routine. Autism is a big contributor, because when my schedule gets disrupted I struggle to get it back from my baseline to where I was. I fortunately am not suicidal even at the worst, as I am more terrified of dying than living, but I still get so bad I wish I were dead uncomfortably often.
I believe that, if what I hear is correct, a tulpa may be able to help pull me out of the negative thought loops I am susceptible to, as well as help with my anxieties, but when I need it as I need it, not when I have an appointment. It would also help to have a friend that isn't like how guy friends are, which if you're a guy with your guy friends, you get what I mean.
Any advice, either for or against me going forward with this? Thanks in advance.

I’m afraid I might have made it all up. I suffer from compulsive daydreaming and dissociation.
After taking a two-month break from the community and undergoing intensive self-therapy, I noticed that my mind was calmer.
The tulpas I thought I had were characters or thought-forms that weren’t fully developed… I’m not really sure. But I know that I control them… I also do a lot of role-playing as a means of self-regulation, and sometimes the character takes on a life of its own and stays. Many fragments have merged and integrated into my Selves, and I’ve gone from over 200 members to 30. There are 9 developed headmates present… at least, they don’t consider themselves as such.
I’ve come to realize that my origins stem mainly from compulsive daydreaming and soulbonding.
I feel more plural… I no longer feel that sense of fragmentation—of being multiple—that I used to have, and now I feel like I’ve somehow invented all of this without meaning to, because of the Discord community for plural and DID, in an effort to feel “legitimate”… or at least, my symptoms had worsened significantly…
I’m saying this not to claim, “Oh, these are dangerous communities,” but because I feel a little lost and alone… I wonder if this has happened to others… and if I’m still welcome here, and if this has happened to anyone else?
I hope you won’t take this message the wrong way.

Does my tulpa act as a sort of check on me? Well, I’m someone who could be described as rather hot-tempered, and I often view things negatively. But whenever I get angry or start thinking that way, my tulpa steps in to stop me and lets me know I shouldn't be thinking like that. She’s like a voice of calm; she gently holds me back and explains why I shouldn't harbor those thoughts. It feels really good—I can't imagine how I’d handle my anger without her. Thanks for reading this! :)

Hello i am completly new to the thing but how long did it take for you that s/he could talk in sentences and how can i do it faster
