I talked to a guy today he is currently doin a job in banglore and was graduated from iiser pune , i asked him about the college how we got pune etc , he told me that he got iiser kolkata , and since he was not getting pune and the date of joining was near , he left for iiser kolkata setup his room and took 15 days of classes (in iiser kolkata ) and after this all he got a offer letter from iiser pune !
the main reason i am thinking why this happend
Seats got vaccant after he joined (iiser Kolkata) due to some reasons in iiser pune and he kept on float ( yes u could float and go to college ( freezeing a college was not mandatory)
But in this year , JAC closed colleges ( to prevent counselling and classes( in iisers) going on simultaneously) , but since there are neet students who are still floating some of them will leave the seat to 1) Go in better iiser ( they could have got) ; 2) Go in a Medical college and hence seats could get vaccant again
but due to this new college closing mechnaism a student is not allowed to float ! ( after his all higher prefrences are filled , he needs to freeze or reject !)
and even if a seat gets vaccant later , iiser might leave that seat as it is ( empty) , even after having students deserving that seat !
Please mail JAC about this issue , and ask about the accountability of empty seat , how will those gets filled , any info about this,

Not from Florida and will be staying off property later this year for a birthday trip. I’m looking for a local bakery that I could order a cake from and have delivered to our hotel
My preference would be that the bakery is able to deliver it to the hotel if possible. We are going to be slammed agenda wise and don’t know how feasible it will be to pick it up (plus I’d like to keep some of the “surprise” magic if possible since we’re flying in)
Any recommendations??

So I am not a stamp collector and really don't know anything about stamps, but I would love to know something about the collection of my grandfather. He died in 1984, before I was born. As I understand it he was an incredible collector, with a collection of stamps from all over the world. He hand wrote all his notes in the most beautiful calligraphy. Anyway, my mother inherited a portion of the collection. I live in Switzerland, and last time I was home I took a few photos of the Swiss part of the collection. I would love to know what people think of this collection, as I have no idea at all. My mother has always wondered if we should get these looked at by an expert, or insured. I wonder if anyone can advise if this is something worth doing?

Hi everyone.
I’m taking a friend to Prague for a daytrip. He loves video games and history, and I’ve already marked the Army Museum Žižkov.
Any other recommendations? Maybe places connected to Czech gaming/history, unusual attractions, or a cool medieval/gaming-themed restaurant or pub?
Would love any suggestions! 🎮⚔️🇨🇿

A friend of mine has a Bulfrog hot tub that has 2 independent motors/pumps. One of them malfunctioned and was replaced. A few weeks later a small puddle started to appear under the hot tub. I have taken the service cover off, and saw that fucking thing.
I have looked at the second, original, pump/motor and I see the same type of ½-inch tubing connected to it (picture #2). I traced that tubing and it connected to a large hose (picture #3). The ½-inch tubing with wire nut in it is also connected to a large hose. However the new pump/motor does not have the same ½-inch tubing connected to is as does the original pump/motor (picture #2)
Of course that is wrong, a waterproof wire nut should have been used </sarcasm>, but my question is, should it be connected back to the new pump/motor?
Sorry, I do not have part numbers for the pumps/motors, the new one is especially difficult to get to.

Went thrifting this weekend and grabbed a few pieces for the living room, and before I even got back to my car I was mentally tracing where the value went. Like I paid twelve dollars for a ceramic lamp that retails for eighty and my brain immediately started asking what the seller left on the table and why and whether there was some impairment event in its history that I am not seeing. I cannot just buy a thing. I have to build a little narrative around the transaction or it does not feel real.
The busy season brain does not fully shut off and thrift shopping is supposed to be my decompression activity, but now it is just a different kind of reconciliation. I match what I paid against what I see listed on resale apps and I know the spread down to the dollar on most of my finds. My running total for the year is somewhere in my head at all times without me trying.
I do not know if this is a skill that crossed over from work or if the job just sharpened something that was already there. Either way it is a weird place to exist where a Saturday morning flea market feels vaguely like closing the books. Anyone else find that the analytical part of the job has completely colonized a hobby that had nothing to do with numbers when you started it.

I know dart counter has the 180 counter on your own profile page but I'd love to see them add a count of failed 180's. I think it would be hilarious to see a tally of the times I've missed that last Triple 20 😄😄😄

I'm watching a video currently that's ranking a lot of 2D Mario stages, and every now and then it shows stages from Super Mario All-stars, I'm wondering if it's worth it to get the Wii version over the SNES version due to my couch being too far from the TV for normal wired controllers to play the original SNES version, so the Wii version might be better in that regard for me for the Classic Controller plugging into the Wiimote, however I do hear that some people say the SNES version is still the better pick so I'm wondering which version I should get, as I do have a way to play both versions, being 3 Wiis (overbearing I know lmao) and a Wii U for the Wii version, and the Retron 5 for the SNES version
I do know that there's also the version of All-stars with Mario World, but that's not one I need as I already have a cartridge of Mario World so it would feel a bit redundant
