Leo is officially ours!

She's in stage 2 kidney disease and has some other health issues, but otherwise is doing okay. I'm just dreading losing her.

Also her eye is dark due to iris melanosis. There is a risk of it turning into cancer and some people have the eye removed as prevention, but the vet is monitoring and doesn't recommend surgery as of now.

I love this design as soon as I saw it. I love her leaf like hair and her more darker colors to her, and her eyes look so good as well. This is probably my favorite PVZ OC design by a landslide, and I already made like 2 fanarts of her. I wish I can show you guys, but I don't want to break a rule in this sub in some way just to be safe.

We left home at 1 a.m. so we could be ready at the location by 4 a.m. We were there to catch the first rays of sunlight, and we also added some smoke to create a special atmosphere against the backdrop of the sunrise. It was an absolutely unforgettable photoshoot. 💜

I recently bought a 3D printer, and I thought I’d try to make my own bakugan design! I wanted to try to make it look something like hydranoid while keeping everything fully automatic(no manual parts). I plan to make a v2 at some point, might try to add automatic horns, and rework the heads and ball form design. It’s also currently the b3 size(36mm), so I might try to bring it down to the b2 size(32mm)

I accidentally read the afterword to this book before reading the story, and it made me a bit afraid of what I was about to read.

This book is definitely not meant to be a pleasant read but it is in no way trying to depict Beaton’s two years in the oil sands as a horror story. It is story about real people, complex and nuanced and I really liked it and recommend you read it, if you are not afraid of stories about trauma and are curious about environments you are likely to never see yourself.

My job requires me to be in all kinds of different neighborhoods. Me and my co-workers are always on guard when we have to go into majority black neighborhoods. Sure, in the ghetto white neighborhoods (and even the rich ones) they may feel uncomfortable that brown guys are in the area, but we do not have to worry about being assaulted or robbed.

We have people in my company that have gotten their tools stolen, cussed out, and a couple guys have been assaulted. All of which happened in majority black neighborhoods.
