Hi everyone! 👋
I’ve recently started running and I’m really enjoying it so far. I’m currently around 95kg and started with slow running/jogging for about 20 minutes.
After roughly a week, I’ve managed to work my way up to around 6.5km in 58 minutes, and my time seems to be slowly coming down, which is pretty motivating! 😅
Now I’m thinking I should probably invest in a proper pair of running shoes.
I’m based in the UK and I’ll mainly be running on roads/pavements.
My budget is around £100 maximum.
The problem is… I have absolutely no idea how people choose running shoes. 😂
- How do I know what type of shoe is suitable for me?
- Does my weight make a difference to what I should look for?
- Is more cushioning necessarily better?
- Are there any particular shoes you’d recommend around £50–£150?
I’m not looking for anything fancy or racing-focused just a comfortable, reliable pair for regular road running while I build up my distance.
Would really appreciate any advice or recommendations from more experienced runners. 👟🏃♂️
Thank
