Mod Approved [Try & Keep] How Well Does the 65” LG OLED G6 Handle Reflections When Watching Disney movies at home?
Congratulations!!!!!!!! 🎉 u/Kalyqto has been selected as a winner.
Hi r/Disney users!
Most of us grew up watching Disney movies, and we all have that one favorite we keep coming back to, no matter how many times we’ve seen it. But when you rewatch it on your TV at home, the experience may not always feel quite as immersive as it did on the big screen.
That's why we're inviting one (1) Redditor to try the 65" LG OLED G6 at home and share honest impressions with the community.
And yes, the TV is yours to keep 👍
What it actually takes to feel every frame in a Disney movie

Watching a Disney movie at home is usually about revisiting a story you already love, singing along to familiar songs, seeing your favorite characters again, or enjoying it with family. In those moments, you want the picture to bring those memories back to life with rich details, accurate colors, and a sense of immersion, without dark scenes looking washed out or reflections from the room getting in the way.
The LG OLED G6 65” brings these experiences to life with Hyper Radiant Color Tech- Perfect Black, Perfect Color, the α11 AI Processor Gen3, Reflection-Free Premium, and Brightness Booster Ultra to enhance detail and clarity, whether you’re watching movies in a bright room or at night.
How LG OLED G6 Helps Reduce Screen Reflections

Reflection Free Premium technology minimizes screen reflections, letting you enjoy a clear, immersive picture even in bright rooms. By reducing glare from windows and lights, the screen preserves Perfect Black, Perfect Color, and sharp details, so you can stay focused on what you're watching.
Filmmaker and film lover Joe Lynch, whose work includes Mayhem and Suitable Flesh, also talked about the LG OLED G6’s Reflection Free Premium screen and how reflections can pull viewers out of the movie experience
“Anything that deters you from the story and from the vision. That to me is huge. I’ve never seen a TV like that that’s had that kind of reflection-free before.”— Joe Lynch, Filmmaker

Opinion Y’all Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas Is An Underrated GEM.
I Do Not See Enough People Talking About This Movie Cuz This Movie Is One My Top Picks For Watching At Christmas Time. The Animation Is Beautiful Especially At The Beginning, The Stories Are Wholesome And It Is Full Of Heart. Would ABSOLUTELY Recommend Watching It At Christmas Time.

Walt Disney Animation My old Disney CEDs
I watched these CEDs all the time when I was a kid. I don't understand why they only used one side for each of the animated a collections since the format could have held a lot more media than what's included.
The Coyote's Lament song spent a lot of time stuck in my head, and I've heard that the version includes footage not found in other versions, but I don't know what's different.
The Donald and Daisy discs include an intro about how Walt Disney animation developed and has early aerial footage of Disneyland. I haven't seen these introductions on Youtube. The "wire frame Mickey" intro and the "Buena Vista" intro precede some of the cartoons. I think one of these disks includes part of a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show (it's actually part of a Donald Duck cartoon with Huey, Dewey, and Louie watching the show wearing Mickey ears with Donald Duck not happy about it), and the Firehouse Five Plus Two make a performance. Goofy's Salute includes the George Geef character being a dad, and also fighting gambling and smoking addictions. Somewhere on one of these discs is Pluto using his tail to play a record player which causes him to sound like Sinatra.
I also have some Disney live action movies (Mary Poppins, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea) and some Muppet CEDs, including The Muppet Movie and The Great Muppet Caper, The Musicians of Bremen, and Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas.
I haven't seen Daisy in that green dress anywhere else, and it also doesn't appear on the disk in any of the cartoons.
The white streaks were added into the photo because of the local address.

Disney Music I became a music transcriber
Hi everyone! I learned how to transcribe music during the pandemic. I’ve always been a fan of songs from animated shows, so I used to figure them out by ear to play them. Eventually, I wanted to learn how to write them down musically, so I studied music theory, harmony, instrumentation, and everything else I could by watching videos.
At first, I would just write out the bass, drums, and guitar parts, but I eventually progressed to arranging full songs and doing sound design. I’d love to show you a bit of my work and there’s a link in my channel description to my musescore page where you can download some scores in MIDI or MuseScore format if you like. 👍😁
There are videos on YouTube that explain how to download MuseScore files for free

Question For the Ghost and Molly McGee fans, how many predicted the scenario in the penultimate episode to happen? Spoiler
When the series started, it felt like a Phineas and Ferb style type of adventure show where there's a premise and different scenarios of that premise happening, the premise being shenanigans with a ghost cursed with you.
However watching throughout Season 1, I didn't think they would follow shows like Gravity Falls and Amphibia and have a Grand Final Battle at the end with an invasion signaling the end of the world. I knew we would have some sort of climax because they started introducing so many different characters which usually signals a big reunion when something big happens, thanks mainly to Gravity Falls.
But how many actually really thought and predicted the Ghost and Molly McGee was gonna have an apocalypse like event with a big battle? Because the beginning of the show didn't give me hints it was gonna escalate to that degree, at best a final confrontation against the Chairman, not the apocalypse.

Discussion Forgot About Their Powers Moments in Zootopia movies:
In the movies in general, the biggest problem that typically happens for Nick and Judy is that they never bring tranquilizer darts with them while they are solving their cases, because it would have allowed them to take down their enemies in seconds. Nor does Chief Bogo consider providing them with them.
In the sequel, when Nick and Judy get framed on the fanging of Chief Bogo and aiding Gary in his theft of the Weather wall journal by Cattrick and Milton, Captain HogBottom and Truffler having little true evidence to show that Nick and Judy are innocent, blame and try to arrest them right away rather than consider giving them a trial or lead a proper crime investigation, unless they did consider doing so but Nick and Judy becoming scared into running away from the law with Gary because of his delusion of the wild pigs stopped any possibility of this.
During the Marsh Market chase scene, Nick’s acrobatics still seem to be rusty although he must have improved on them after months of police academy training as it nearly lead to him getting caught by Higgins and Bloats until Nibbles saves him.
PawBert even after getting Gary to decipher the weather wall journal and finding the location of Agnes’ pendant never thought of calling Milton with his phone to get him to send in the cops to arrest Judy and Gary while he slips away to burn the pendant and Reptile Ravine.
When they were briefly in prison, Nick and Nibbles seem to disregard the fact that the prison cells they were locked in were for giant mammals, up to the size of lynxes and bears not small mammals like them foxes and beavers and they could easily slip through the cell bars to get out, they were that wide. (Cardboard prison) Nibbles also gets out of her cell and frees Nick from his not by slipping through the bars but by unlocking the cell doors with a wooden key homemade.
It also shows just about his truly incompetent and dumb HogBottom, Truffler and the cops who chased Nick and Judy are and they never even confiscate Nick and Nibbles’ cell phones after arresting them.
As Officers Higgins, Blosts and Chevre and Bucheron are brawling with Gary to arrest him and cure Judy with an anti-venom pen when assuming that Gary was trying to fang and eat Judy, they never try to defeat Gary using the methods they previously used while chasing Nick and Judy like tranquilizing him with their darts or punching him unconscious like in the case of the goats or biting him to apprehend but not kill him in the hippos’ cases, it is somewhat justified over their recent heel realizations after finding out that Nick and Judy were innocent all along but were rather set up by Gary likely when Judy nearly sacrifices herself to protect PawBert from the poison dart accidentally Fired by HogBottom combined with Nick coming back to save her scared them into never using those tactics again as they nearly got Nick and Judy killed which isn’t what Chief Bogo would have wanted and couldn’t afford to let it happen again.
In Gary’s case, he never seems to fang those four cops with his remaining fang to immobilize them so he could rush to save Nick from PawBert and get the anti-venom pen needed to save Judy and then use it on the cops like how he tried to fang PawBert right after he made his betrayal to immobilize him so he could cure Judy with the anti-venom and tie PawBert up with the ropes he brought with him and cure him with the pen too. Nor does he strangle them all one duo at a time to beat them to unconsciousness and then carry off his heroism like how he strangled Milton at the Zootennial Gala.
It is justified over the fact that Gary didn’t want to risk the lives of any more cops after he accidentally Fanged Bogo at the Zootennial Gala which the Lynxleys used to their advantage to frame Nick and Judy and feared that fanging one of the hippos may cause him to lose his remaining fang since the last time he accidentally fanged Bogo it caused his right fang to pop out and viper fangs can’t grow back that easily.
During the scene where Nick throws the anti-venom pen to Gary for him to use to cure Judy with during his first fight with PawBert, he never tries to run up the ice ledge and jump off it and onto solid ground before it breaks off although Nick should have excellent running and jumping skills after his police academy training. (If PawBert tries to follow Nick or grab his foot, the fox would kick the lynx back to ensure that he goes down with the ice ledge.) Leading to Gary and Judy having to rescue Nick on their own not long after Judy is cured.
It is somewhat justified over the fact that Nick was likely aware unlike PawBert that there was a tall snowbank at the bottom of the Weather wall to catch him if he were to fall, so he and PawBert would survive and it comes true later on when the lynx survives although Nick is still saved by Judy and Gary.
This becomes avoided during the scenes where Nick and Nibbles escape from prison but they release its 200 criminals in Order to do so which all get away in the police cars outside leaving our fox and beaver with no way to save Judy and Gary from PawBert and the deluded police until Nibbles reminds Nick that A) He still has a phone that HogBottom never bothered to confiscate B) He is friends with Flash who happens to be the fastest driver in the city.
So Nick calls Flash and summons him commissioning him to drive him and Nibbles to Judy and Gary avoiding the police in the process in which he agrees and en route, Nick contacts Clawhauser to track down HogBottom’s phone with Paul’s computer that would lead them straight to Judy, PawBert and Gary as Nick had no way of contacting Judy after smashing it to prevent it from being tracked by the police.
It also becomes avoided when not long after being cured by Gary, and seeing Nick’s plight, Judy remembers her ability in knocking out giant mammals in seconds that she learned at the police academy which she uses to knock out both Higgins and Bloats with concussions same for Officer Rhinowitz while Gary as he followed Judy locked the unconscious Higgins, Bloats and Rhinowitz as well as the still conscious, Chevre and Bucheron inside the weather wall control room his brawl with them happened in allowing both Judy and Gary to save Nick with no difficulties and cure Nibbles and stop PawBert while Chevre, Bucheron, Higgins, Bloats and Rhinowitz don’t regain conscious or escape from the control room to catch up with our heroes until the Lynxleys are exposed and arrested.

Disney Merchandise My Young Simba Collection.
The Lion King was released in 1994 when I was ten years old and I have always loved the character young Simba. I have a huge collection of memorabilia 1994 and the rerelease in 2002. My collection includes, art, cards, cels, figures, coins, watches, stuffed animals, statues, mugs, and Loungefly bags. Items from all over the world including UK, Japan, Europe, and Australia. I'm missing a few extremely rare pieces and always searching. There is a Lion King collector in the UK that holds the Guinness World Record for a Lion King collection. My dream is to have the Guinness World Record for a Young Simba collection. It's much easier to collect one character. I'm so dedicated I have an idea for a young Simba themed car I'd like to have. The only down side I have no way to properly display my collection due to limited space issues. I could put all of the "stock" images in a file and there would be a lot. Pictured are a few of my favorite art images in my collection.

Discussion So, Wreck-It Ralph celebrates 15 years next year! Oh how time flies. Anyways, what would you like to see Disney do as part of the celebrations?
personally, I would be over the moon for a permanent and expanded release of fix-it felix jr! one with tons of standard levels as well as some bonus ones that feature the characters from qbert, as a nod to the ending of the film where qbert and friends find their place in the game after having theirs unplugged years ago.
secondly, I think a re-release of the film in cinemas would be fitting, as enough time has passed for the film to be considered nostalgic, so I'd imagine people would want to see it again so they can relive the past again.
and last but certainly not least, more merch of the characters that haven't received much of them in the past, such as king candy and calhoun. I'd be a sucker for more felix merch (plushies especially!!!) but I think other characters definitely deserve the spotlight when it comes to that.
so what do you guys think? do you have any other ideas of what could be in store for the celebration? if so, please do tell me!

Discussion Do you think we will ever get a sequel to big hero 6?
I know the series was made and ran for 3 seasons along with baymax the mini series but do you think theres any possibility they would go back to that IP and make a sequel or a prequel? I think big hero 6 is the best modern disney animated movie they have put out so im interested in what you all think.

Need help identifying the cat in the top left corner.
This is driving me insane...I'm such a massive Disney fan and I can't believe they've made a piece of merch with a cat I don't recognize. Edit Thank you everyone! Hadn't seen Princess and the Frog in a long time and had utterly forgotten that scene!

Other Cinderella 3 - Odd Request
Apologies for any formatting errors, I’m on mobile, and I wasn’t sure what flair to use.
I’m looking for photos of the scene where Charming is jumping out the window😂 I just found out the voice actor will be in my town in a couple weeks and instead of choosing one of the comic con’s photos, I want to bring in my own (I highly doubt they’ll have the window scene printed) but I can only find poorly cropped gifs. I figured posting here wouldn’t hurt. The best quality is appreciated for printing an 8x10!

Question What do bring to Disney audition?!
hello! I’m going to a Disney Tokyo character lookalike audition. this is my first one so I’m not quite sure what to expect. I’ve done a lot of research though, and have heard conflicting things about what to bring.
should I bring a resume and headshot? on the FAQ, it says you should bring a snack and water. nothing about a resume or headshot, and we already have online profiles with that stuff, but should I bring it just in case? or would that be redundant and useless?
also, I’m planning on bringing a bag. is this a bad idea as well? is there any place to put it? I want to have something with my things because my outfit doesn’t have pockets.
