I know it’s been a while- thought I’d share: (you can skip but please read the questions atleast 🥲)
-We’ve made it to 27 weeks so far
- all boys “look good” & have no signs heart or lung of what big brother had 🤍
-The boys are huge, like 90th percentile huge 😅
-Everyone is staying the same size, b was maybe 2oz smaller than A/C but I think it’s because they’re squishing him haha.
- I can’t wait to find out if 2 are identical or not, though I’m thinking three fraternal
- lol how do you even name 3 kids, we are going to wait until they born but it’s hard coming up with so many boys names
-if I was carrying a singleton I’m measuring 40 weeks at the moment
- OB wants them out at 34 weeks but MFM says 36, I’m cool going as long as babies let me.
- this week HURTS I’m thinking pubic symphysis pain? Oh my gosh. It hurts, this whole time it’s been manageable and this week my body realized it’s carrying 3
- I have an iron infusion every other day at this point.

QUESTIONS:
- do all trip moms just go inpatient for monitoring at one point like a week before birth?
- is bed rest coming? Has anyone not had to do bed rest?
- we skipped triplette stroller and went for the wagon, was this a good call?
- do I need 3 bathtubs & bath seats? Swings? Rockers? We have a solid 2 of everything at the moment and we’re taking our time looking for marketplace deals because my gosh it’s so much money already
- I have 3 infant car seats but need narrow car seat recs for when we need to fit 3 big boy seats across

Our girls are 16 months old, and my husband and I still talk about how easy our life is now. Maybe not easy by singleton standards, but it’s SO MUCH EASIER now!

Our girls:
- sleep from 8pm-7am
- take one 2.5-3 hour nap every day
- feed themselves finger foods
- drink their morning and night milk easily
- started comforting each other when they are sad
- love playing independently
- love playing together
- run to us to give us hugs
- are so bonded and attached, because thankfully a horrible NICU stay and PPD/PPA doesn’t have to have any long-term impacts

The early days can be so hard and the grind is nonstop. But wowwwww it’s so worth it, and I’m so grateful to be on the other side! I’ll take toddler tantrums over the first 6 months every day. We can cook and clean and spend quality time with our girls AND with each other. Life feels so much lighter now. 💖💖

I find myself comparing my twin pregnancy to my friends with singleton pregnancies that are still active / playing sports / not very limited by pregnancy yet. I’m 22 weeks and I can barely make it up the long staircase in my townhouse. I’m so out of breath, my belly gets so sore if I’m up and about too much in a day. It hurts to bend over. Rolling over in bed and getting off the couch are Olympic sports now haha. I’m just now starting to pop so it’s not that I have a massive belly getting in my way, it really must be what’s going on inside.

This Reddit has been so wonderful. I search “19 weeks” “22 weeks” just to see what others have said or complained about each week while pregnant with multiples. It has been so reassuring, as most of the posts and comments sound very similar to where I’m at!

I don’t think I really need any advise, just wanted to get my feelings out to a community that gets it. I am still loving pregnancy, and feeling very lucky to have no complications thus far. It would just be nice to be able to get that sneaky comparison out of my head and give myself and my body the grace I deserve. I’m making two babies!!!

Today is the 13th anniversary of my marriage to Spouse.

It was Twin A's first day of preschool. She looked so cute and so BIG in her little backpack. She had a rough start initially but settled in pretty quick. Going alone wasn't the plan at all, but...

Today was also Twin B's first ER visit. I'm spending our anniversary evening on a hospital gurney with Twin B sleeping on top of me FINALLY after hours of crying. Hopefully soon they will send us home.

What a day.

I am looking for recommendations for a good comfy chair for my twins’ bedroom that is a little roomier. They are three now, so we all three struggle to fit in the recliner, but they still love to snuggle and read books. Just wondering if anyone has found a good multiples friendly piece of furniture that’s not a full on love seat

This is mostly just a rant bc I am so fucking over it right now. I have a newly minted 5yo, a 2.5yo, and almost 8mo twins and I’m moving across the world next week. We had initially planned to move in a year or two, but my husband got laid off(4 days after he returned from parental leave btw). Long story short, he got a really good offer in the city we intended to move to anyways, his home city, so it makes sense but I am still incredibly angry and stressed about the whole thing.

We’ve had 2.5 months to organize everything but it’s not enough with all these young children. I’m leaving my whole support network, my mom, my friends, when I need them most and I’m unconvinced my husband’s family will be much help. Unfortunately for me, my husband’s home country is a better place to live than the US. As evidenced by him getting laid off four fucking days after he got back from leave. Which is obviously technically illegal, but we can’t fight the large tech company that he worked for and they know it. I just really didn’t want to take this on while the twins are babies and it’s all just really unfair. Grateful my husband has a new good job and I know this is for the best in the long term, just needed to let it out.

Today at pick up my 14mo’s teacher told me the daycare has decided I need to walk my babies in together from the stroller at the same time. As she spoke I truly felt the soul leave my body.

What I have been doing is, stroll them both in, park the stroller in the hall (it is enclosed and in full view of the main office which always has a staff person), and carry one baby into the classroom then come back for the other baby.

I want to respect their policy but what happens in any other setting when I try to get the babies (okay toddlers but I’m in denial) to walk anywhere with me is they (a) do not, (b) run in opposite directions, (c) tantrum.

I assume this is something I’ll get better at with time but I am at a loss. Do you all have any advice for walking two 14mo’s (they do at least walk) over to a classroom door that they absolutely do not want to enter given that they know it is drop off time.

FTM 29w3d. Rant.

My dad has a pretty grim prognosis. I was his primary caregiver for 6.5 years up until Dec 2025 when I stepped back from that role to a more part time caregiver. Since then I've started a new career, got married, and am currently pregnant with my b/g.

His health began to steadily decline right after I got married. He's been in the hospital for 3 weeks now and they're suggesting hospice. He's exhibiting all the classic signs of end of life. He isn't eating, no strength to walk let alone stand, and he's barely saying more than a few sentences a day. He signed a DNR and is basically just waiting for the thing to happen.

My dad has always been the pillar of our family. All 4 of his children are daddies girls/boys. I'm the youngest and I'm not sure if it's pregnany alone or just all the things happening but I am inconsolable most days. I can't seem to stop the random tears. Thankfully babies are fine and my family and husband are great but I'm so tired and stressed.

I'm considering taking my leave early just to have more time with him. But I know I'll need the time for my babies so I'm sitting on it. Everyone keeps telling me i need to be strong for the babies and I need to relax and take care of myself but I can't seem to stop the worrying. I'm kind of upset with myself for getting pregnant because now I can't do all the things I'd usually do. I can't stay at the hospital or be at his bedside for too long normally my sister and i would trade off in 12 hour shifts one spends nights the other days. I can't clean him up or do his bed bath (restrictions from OB no pulling/pushing/lifting >20pounds) I have so many restrictions and it's frustrating because I want to be useful just like I was 8 months ago.

I just found out that my son (a fraternal b/g twin) and his wife are expecting twins early next year. He's 24, it's been a minute and they are already asking me for advice. Can anyone help me remember where to get started? She's already 17 weeks along so we don't have much time.

I still cannot believe this is happening

33 weeker. NICU preemie. Has big feelings since she came home. Cried for 3 hours straight everyday as a newborn and till she was 3-4 months old.

Now at 12 months age corrected - very active, laughs from her belly, but also very whiny, clingy as hell with dad and will throw herself back on the floor and cry if he leaves for work/goes to the bathroom/basically is not within 1 foot touching distance.

She has false starts at night occasionally and will wake up screaming like the world is ending. Flail her arms and throw herself back and turn on high volume and sob till her dad comes back and holds her and pats hers and shushes her back to sleep. Her brain comes partially awake and not having a parent next to her is a national tragedy in her books.

If the bottle is out of milk, it’s full blown tears. If her sister grabs her shirt, waillllll…

She is just dramatic at every tiny inconvenience. Also loves us like a whole lovebug. I mean she would just come and ‘plug’ herself to mom and dad every now and then to feel safe and then dart away to play. Such a cuddly lovebug that drives me insane with how much drama she is. And she is not 13 years old, 13 months.lol.

Does it get better? What sort of a personality should I prepare for? How do I help her grow to understand that not every inconvenience is an emergency.

my husband and i are flying with 1 year old twins for the first time and i’m nervous! looking for tips and tricks from people who have traveled frequently with twins.

- what is your boarding procedure? my singleton friends will send one parent in for early boarding to set up the car seat, put bags away, etc while the other parent runs the kid around and boards last. we’re considering doing this but i’m not confident in my ability to handle two cranky twins alone without a stroller or anything. one is walking a few steps and one is just crawling, and i don’t really want them crawling on the dirty airport floor so i’m not sure what the best procedure is. maybe we’ll just all board together early but that means extra time on the plane.

- the advice is to feed a bottle on the ascent and descent, but my twins will suck down an 8oz bottle in under 5 minutes. exactly what part of the ascent/descent is most critical?

- any snack ideas that are room temp stable and not too messy?

- we have a 9am flight. usually we do a bottle at 7 and breakfast at 8:30. not sure how to time it so that they’ll be hungry for a bottle at take off. also since we’ll be at the airport, not sure how much breakfast i’m going to get down them either, but i’m sure they’ll be hungry

- we have one car seat and one lap infant. do car seats face forward or rear on a plane? getting conflicting info…

and any other tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Two of my three triplets spit up quite often (sometimes it’s a lot) everyone recommends holding them upright for 20-30 minutes after a feed.. but, how do I manage doing that when I have two other babies who need to be fed/burped? They are 12 actual weeks old, but only 3 weeks corrected. Thank you for the help!

How many weeks does it take your uterus to recover to pre-pregnancy size? I’m currently 9 weeks postpartum after giving birth to our twins and mine still looks like 4-month pregnant LOL

I saw online that it’s usually taking 6 - 8 weeks for most people so I’m genuinely curious. Also, what works for you to recover? I’m going to have another OB appointment and postpartum recovery physical therapy sessions but would love to know if you have any tips to share.

Has anyone tried this? We currently have two little beds (used to be their cots/cribs) and a single mattress on the floor. The single used to be a bed that we removed due to climbing and jumping.

But they almost always fall asleep together on the single mattress and I end up going in at some point in the night- someone has rolled off onto the floor and is crying.

I’ve seen these Montessori style doubles with low rails, has anyone got one that both their twins sleep in?

And realistically how long before they want their own beds? They are 2y9m. But then a friend of mine has 5 year old twins who have slept in a double all this time and prefer it.

I’m deep in the newborn trenches and was recently diagnosed with postpartum depression and anxiety. I’ve started medication, and I’m writing this because I desperately need to hear that things will get better. I delivered my twins at 32 weeks after a very complicated pregnancy and severe preeclampsia. We’ve had a month-plus NICU stay. One baby is now home, while the other is still in the NICU working on feeding. We’re hopeful he’ll come home soon, but having one baby at home and another in the hospital has been incredibly difficult. My husband works away from home, and even when he is here, his job takes up most of his day- unfortunately we own our business and one of us has to work. He also cannot safely manage nighttime care, I’ve seen him fall asleep while feeding the baby or while holding him on his chest, so the nights fall entirely on me. Neither of us has family nearby who can help. I’ve hired a night nurse for the weekdays, which I’m grateful for, but I’m still alone with the baby during the day and often on weekends. I feel like I have no village. I’m already struggling with one baby at home, and I’m terrified about what will happen when both babies are here. How will I manage two when caring for one is already kicking my ass? He's a good baby, but with all the newborn noises/wails, I can't even get a shut eye.

I’m also not working right now, and the expenses keep piling up. If I’m completely honest, I’m feeling an immense amount of regret. I had a good life before this. I truly thought I wanted to be a mother, but somehow I ended up with twins, a traumatic pregnancy and delivery, a NICU experience, and far less support than I ever imagined. Right now, I don’t know how I’m going to do this. I haven't even left the house with him yet. And we live in NYC, so I'm not even sure how I'll get the courage to take an uber to his appointments with our carseats and other equipment. Our apartment is a cluttered mess and I feel like I'm suffocating. Please be kind. I’m really struggling and hoping someone who has been through something similar can reassure me that there is light ahead.

My husband (37M) and me (33F) have been trying to get pregnant for a while and had some early miscarriages.

Found out we are pregnant this time around and also that we are having twins!!

I feel blessed, because I always wanted more than 1 but I’d be lying if I said I’m not freaking out ! I’m overwhelmed, shocked, excited, nervous, scared.

As this will be my first time being a mom as well I’m scared it’s going to be a challenge.

I feel blessed I do have a supportive system - husband and my parents and in laws.

But thinking deep about if I were to go back to work juggling everything, I’m overwhelmed.

Any words of wisdom ?? At this this stage I just need it to sink in 🥺

My twins are 2 and definitely still need to nap. One of the twins has been difficult to put to sleep. The other sleeps so well.
Now the bad sleeper has learned to climb out of the crib.
The problem is, I have an older kid that doesn’t nap.
It doesn’t feel like I have the time to sit and rock them to sleep as my older one can’t stay by himself for long.
Looking for any advice and how people have managed this.

I was redoing my daughter's room and noticed I was hyper sensitive to smells. 100% did not think I was pregnant I just threw some tests in my Amazon delivery that was already coming that day to get it out of my mind. I like to get one ambiguous symptom and my body starts acting like I'm for sure pregnant so I'm not stranger to testing to prove to myself I'm not actually. I took it around 4pm and was not only shocked by the BFP but how quickly it turned.

My calendar showed my last possible period (irregular crazy cycles) as jul 15. The test was taken Aug 7 so I joked to my husband that I'm off on my timeline or there's a litter in there. Not a single part of me actually ever thought I'd be carrying twins.

We used a clinic to confirm a urine test and then returned a week later for the ultrasound on August 25. When they said they have some news to share my husband started hysterically laughing. I said something about praying we aren't around long enough for the hunger games to be a reality because the odds were absolutely not in our fucking favor.

I'm excitedly terrified; but each day that passes the scale tips moreso on the excited end. I do wish we had a better reaction to share with our future little ones 😂

So our twins are 6 weeks old, and from calm, sleepy babies, they turned into alert newborns who cannot day nap at all. We combo-feed them, which requires me to pump, but there is literally zero time in the day to do that?

They don't take any naps anymore. Okay, maybe they do in the morning, but the afternoon is a total no-go. We try white noise, a dark room, following yawning cues... nothing is working. They get fussy when put down which gradually turns into crying. Sometimes they get fussy also while carried.

They don't have belly pain or anything like that. They do, however, eat A LOT — 900 ml a day, which is way above the recommended range — but what can I do if they always want to eat??

The doctor did not seem concerned about the amount of food they eat, and they are also growing well. How on earth am I supposed to find time and space to eat, pump, and/or clean? Both me and my husband are on maternity leave for 6 months, so we are always two of us here... but it seems impossible to figure this out. Unfortunately we don't have any family nearby so no way they can help us.

Is it just some growth spurt, or is it gonna stay this bad??

I know 10000% if I had just one baby, I’d already be planning for the second and how to afford more IVF, transfers, medications etc. We went through 6 transfers and 3 losses before we had the twins.

Yes, twins are hard. But I’m so incredibly grateful to get to close the door on wondering if we would have babies / siblings. After such a long journey I often just stare at them in awe that they are here and so perfect.

Currently 25 weeks with di/di twins and has been crazy with preeclampsia and gestational diabetes now too. Have bad fluid accumulation going on and it’s all been pooling in my legs. While taking off diabetic compression stockings (and struggling because of huge pregnancy bump to reach them and feeling painful bump and feet in the process) I came up with this thing I had to share, “my poor feets’ souls[/soles]…” If you don’t laugh, you cry, right?

2 are 3yo, 2 are 18 months, 1 will be a newborn.

I have a Honda odyssey minivan and need to fit 5 rear-facing car seats in it. Is this even possible?

My sister has a Toyota Sienna, and switching cars as needed is possible, so if anyone has advice on the Sienna fitting 5, that would be great.

Hi, I am 23 weeks pregnant with MoDi twins and had lots of energy in the second trimester. However in the past few days I noticed I get extremly tired after running errands for 2-3 hours. Nothing crazy, like getting some admin staff done and shopping. When coming home I just need to lie down and nap. Can someone relate? Will it get better? I loved my energy level throughout the second trimester and scared I lost it so suddenly?

My twins are 11mo and have a super complicated past regarding feeding (colic, severe reflux, tongue ties, cmpa, etc.) My daughter who has CMPA doesn’t have an appt with an allergist, her pediatrician, or GI until a month after her 1st birthday. Our pediatrician has pretty much told us to go off of what GI recommends. I am unsure if she still has full on CMPA or not and I don’t know whether to transition her to whole milk or ripple milk. She still breaks out in a rash around her mouth when she consumes a few bites of ice-cream or yogurt, but does okay with snacks that contain dairy or soy. She is very picky with her formula and will not even attempt to drink her brothers (he’s on Enfamil added rice for severe reflux). Should I try to start the transition with the 75/25, then 50/50, then 25/75 method or formula to milk ratio, a week before their 1st birthday? I’m just trying to determine if she still has CMPA. I’m assuming she does because of the rash, but I’m just so unsure. Does anyone else have a similar experience? And if so, how did it go for you?
