Had to retire my highest lobe piercings, now filling the gaps with chains. Happy to find my first Mettle and Silver pieces locally! (pink sapphire helix chain plus moonstone stud in lobe, same ear).
Now searching for something colorful for the conch to match.

about 4 months old. horseshoe, i'm assuming externally threaded? not sure of the material but i'd say stainless steel. was previously cleaning with q tip and neilmed but now just spraying and drying with hair dryer on cold and touched it less. but since then it's actually gotten worseee, honestly started from touching it i think but ive been trying pretty hard not to touch it with dirty hands at least but it just seems to be getting worse
EDIT: i looked at the studio online, they use ASTM F136 titanium jewelry so that's my bad for just guessing what sounded right whoops

Okay everyone so today i walked into my usual piercing shop to get my conch done, I’ve never had any problems there before and have 2 piercings from there that are healing all good. So i had a different piercer than usual, a man who actually specialised in tattoos. When i told him i wanted to do a conch he first off grabbed his phone and i think he literally had to look it up?? So i told them in advance i was scared of needles and was very nervous, but they didn’t seem to care much. He was trying to haste me to just get in the chair and get it done. He told me to put a dot on my eat myself where i wanted it, which i found kind of weird so i asked him to do it. Then he placed the dot, but from what i could see and think in a totally wrong spot from what i wanted (the one most on the right), so i just calmly told him. I told him i wanted it (im talking left and right like its shown in the picture) more to the left because i eventually wanted to put a ring in it, he said but its not possible to put a ring in a conch. I was so confused because im like a million percent sure it was possible so i looked up a picture and showed him and he was acting very confused. So he then said oh i think u mean this. And then put the two dots on the left! I said no i don’t want a snug i want a conch. He then continued to try to rush me into making a decision and i eventually just said okay I don’t think this is gonna work for me. He then said well ur wasting out time, this time im gonna let you go but otherwise i would have had you pay for the piercing, like i kind of get it but??
So do you guys think i was right to walk out or was i the ass hole in this situation?
EDIT!!
I left a review explaining my experience to warn other people like most of you advised me to do!, this is what i left:
Horrible services, do NOT get pierced here!!! Save urself from a badly placed and rejecting piercing! I went here for a piercing, and when i told him which piercing i wanted i kid you not he had to LOOK IT UP!! When he placed a dot on my ear it was in the totally wrong spot, and when i tried correcting him he was rude and told me to get another piercing instead! And when i told him this wasn’t gonna be it for me he tried to charge me for the piercing he didn’t even do and told me i was wasting their time?!
I beg of you please don’t go here for a piercing, the owner is rude and does not have a clue what he’s doing!!
So in the meantime the owner (who was also the one who was gonna do the piercing) replied to my review with something that explained the situation but with some things that totally didn’t happen!!
Dear Madam,
We are very sorry that you experienced your visit in this way. At the same time, we do not recognize ourselves in a number of factual claims in your review and would therefore like to explain what happened.
You came to us for a conch piercing. After the desired location was marked, we consulted an anatomical reference to verify together exactly which placement you intended. There are various ear piercings that are located close to each other. This extra check was specifically intended to prevent miscommunication and incorrect placement, not because we did not know which piercing it concerned.
In addition, we honestly explained beforehand that a conch piercing is placed through relatively thick cartilage and can therefore have a longer or more difficult healing process. We believe it is important to fully inform customers about this so that they can make an informed decision. The intention of this was not to force a different piercing on you.
After the consent form was completed and the treatment was prepared, you decided not to have the piercing done after all. We have respected that choice: the conch piercing was not done, and ultimately nothing was charged to you. We did, however, indicate that time and preparation had already been invested in the treatment at that time.
We regret that our direct explanation came across as impolite to you; that was never our intention. However, we do not consider the warning regarding a “poorly placed and rejected piercing” to be justified. After all, no piercing was done during this visit, and the helix piercing that was previously placed with us has actually healed well.
We would like to discuss this with you personally so that we can resolve any misunderstandings in a calm and respectful manner.
Sincerely,
Tattootommy
Not only did he not even do an anatomical check but there are multiple things that didn’t happen like he explained. So hereby im name dropping the shop i got it done at to warn everyone, DO NOT GO HERE!! Tattoo tommy at markerkant in almere the netherlands!!

I’ve recently started getting to the point where I’m having to seriously think about real estate when it comes to piercings, so I’m wondering if anyone has any opinions on what could be changed here?

I got it done five days ago — two helix piercings. The past few days went smoothly, with no major swelling. But today I accidentally slept on that ear, and it’s been like this all day. Is that normal? It’s my first time getting cartilage pierced, so I’m feeling a bit anxious about it.
It hurts, but there's no discharge (no pus or anything like that). What's bothering me is the significant swelling, I know it’s normal but idk if it’s too red and swollen or something

Do they look ok for one month? Lymph has died down drastically since switching them to these 12mm, embedding risk has subsided I believe! Just want to know if these are looking on track or not with the mishap I had with hardware and my piercer when getting these.
28 day olds
Saline wipe with qtip in am and before bed then dried with paper towel
14g implant grade titanium flatback labret
Thanks in advance!

I've been wanting to get a couple new ear piercings, and I'm not quite sure what I should get. I definitely want to get a tragus, but I don't know which ear. My original idea was to go with the left, and get another set of 2 or 3 helixes on the right to balance it out, but I've also now been liking the idea of getting a conch. I'd like both ears to feel balanced, and not have any piercings too crowded to one another. Any ideas? 😊

After postponing getting my ears pierced for waaay too long, I’ve finally decided to just go for it. Little by little, lol
I’m looking for some inspiration for what might suit my anatomy, especially since my ears are quite small. Some of the placements I’m most drawn to are lobes (including stacked/multiple), tragus and flat, but I’m honestly open to anything!
I’d love to hear your ideas and suggestions for what you think would suit my ears!

My second lobe has been healing for 6 months and is finally at the point where I can change jewelry, so I switched to a hoop with a charm. I’m loving the silver/cz combo!
Third lobe and double helix have been healing for 3 weeks and besides some occasional soreness I’ve had no issues. However, the placement of my double helix has been bothering me. I agreed to the placement by the piercer but didn’t realize until after they were pierced that they were really close together. I wanted them to be as spaced out as my lobes to match but it’s my fault for not noticing 😭 how can I make this cute?

Hi all - is it possible to get a piercing where the jewelry could extend into or sit in the circled area? Obviously there isn’t really anything to pierce directly in the circle, but I’m wondering whether a tragus placement, particular jewelry style, or something else could put jewelry there. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have 2 lobe piercings on each ear and I want to wear navel jewelry going through both holes on one ear. Is that safe, and if not, what are some alternatives? The specific jewelry I have in mind is an arrow, with the point sticking out one piercing and the fletching out the other.

edit: i'm also gonna measure the space between the piercings to get jewelry that doesn't pull on the piercings

i love my current set up but definitely want more. i’m not sure what would best suit my ears next, up for anything!

so, i got my eyebrow done about a month ago now, and obviously i can't take it out as it will heal over. is there any way I can hide it? my hair isn't long enough to cover it just yet (should be in about a month or 2). my school is suppperr strict about piercings, you can't even have clear retainers in.
is there any way I can hide it without being obvious about it?

I just got my septum pierced yesterday and as soon as she pierced it looked crooked and it still does. I'm just wondering if I should take it out. Unless maybe once I can change it to a ring it won't be as obvious?
