A lot of old farts like myself like to bag on younger people. Here's a turnaround: I've noticed way more of them backing up into parking slots, which is more difficult than pulling head first into one. It sets you up for easy and safe exit too.

It's amazing to see more head-out parked cars in parking lots than in olden times. And SUVs (!) with all of their blind spots and size-related limited space issues.

Are driver's training programs now teaching more back-up skills and techniques than before? The only thing driving tests used to require was going in reverse in a straight line in a parking lot. However, I still see a lot of people struggle with parallel parking between two other parked cars.

Maybe the world is getting better and younger people are smarter.

Looking to trade the 4 base game trade only evolutions. These include Slurpuff, Spritzee, Scyther, and Slowpoke. I would prefer doing it with someone who also wants to get them done. We would trade them holding items and then give them back to each other. Or if someone just wants to help me that would be cool too.

Do your market value research, maybe use a salary estimation tool based on your experience, and for god’s sake ask about “Total Rewards” don’t just immediately decline as soon as you’re “low-balled.”

I feel like life is too much for me.

I makes in Eclipse and I want them covnert into exe working program but I can make runnable jar file but worked when I install something and worked but i'm not sure what but I think is JRE/JDK 21 but I wanted to make working exe with images and sounds from game assets, can you tell me step by step how do it?

My sister and I both have autism. I quit teaching after 12 years because I was so burned out I couldn't do it anymore, and I got no support from parents. Although I have been looking for work, my parents look at me as lazy, or "you just don't wanna work." They have no idea what it's been doing to my health and think "teaching is one of the easiest jobs out there." Meanwhile my older sister quit working all together about 13 years ago. She lives with them, they buy her everything, even a new car. That's just fine with them, if you bring it up they say, "She's sick, she can't work." I don't get it. It's not a jealousy thing, I just wish they could have SOME sympathy for me when I'm struggling. Maybe it's an outdated gender thing, especially with my dad, that men are supposed to be strong and show no signs of weakness and women are supposed to be fragile and cared for, but that doesn't explain my mom.

Finally finished my (mostly) 3D-printed linear throttle.

The aim was to have a throttle with linear movement and an F-16-style grip, as I really like the ergonomics of it.

The grip is from Thrustmaster TQS throttle and slightly modified, top rotary was replaced with encoder, thumb slider buttons with Alps RKJXM HAT switches and thumb analog stick with controller style joystick. 

The base was designed in Fusion and 3D printed, some parts several times, while I refined the design. The longest print was over 30 hours.

The end result is a monster with 8 analog inputs and 90 buttons in total, including 7 single and 2 dual encoders.

The electronics are based on STM32F103C8 board powered by Freejoy.

Had ton of fun at Gamescom on Friday and Sunday, despite queue issues. Had a lot of people take pics with us, which we're so grateful for! If there is anyone who recognises us here, by any chance, I would love to chat and see the pics you took of us :)

I'm helping plan a 4 day trip to Queenstown for my college aged son studying abroad. Can anyone offer feedback on this itinerary? I know - NZ is a lot more than 4 days but this is the time that they have.

Is this feasible? Is this the best set of balanced highlights to include (not interested in bungy)?

Either fly-cruise-fly or coach-cruise-fly depending on group's budget

Hoping putting on day 2 offers some flexibility in case of rescheduling for weather

DAY 3 - BIKE

am: Ebike from Arrowtown to Gibbston, lunch at winery, shuttle back to Queenstown

pm: kayak on lake in town or do Shotover jet boat (is this worth it?)

DAY 4 - HIKE

Gondola to Ben Lomand Track and hike toward saddle (probably no time for actual summit).

Switch this activity to Day 1 if paragliding is not possible that day.
