General AP Info / Discussion The Problem with Absolutes

This forum is undoubtedly, and overwhelmingly, comprised of New Age thinkers who adhere to the nondual idea of frequency and vibration. That much is clear. But I've noticed this thinking allows for a band wagon effect that has turned into a sort of Crypto-Dogmatic fervor from those who are supposedly tolerant of opposing worldview. Speaking in absolutes and confident certainty, I've noticed, is only met with ire if you're speaking from an opposing worldview, like Animism or Dualism. In my case, both.

I find it unhelpful to coalesce around one framework that might make it harder for people to actually get out of body. Everyone's mind works differently, so assuming everyone is going to just be okay with nondualism as the framework they adopt seems sort of shady to me. The reason it seems shady is because it's smuggling in a predetermined religious worldview and trying to force it on someone else. This doesn't sit right with me as the reason we're even on this reddit is because at some point we escaped dogma and started questioning reality itself at a fundamental level.

It's sort of like exiting the oven and getting slapped onto a frying pan without you realizing your back is on the frying pan.

I saw a post on here talking about how they've noticed that if they refrain from orgasms, they seem to have an easier time getting out of body. The top upvoted comment was on espousing nondualism and how orgasms have nothing to do with projection. This replier was speaking in absolute. When I pointed out that it's unhelpful to speak in absolutes when different frameworks are going to work better for different people, I got a rebuttal acting as if I had insulted them personally. There's nothing helpful about this type of behavior in my view.

With me in particular, I've developed my own framework. I believe in new soul dualism, which states that most souls are made over time with the human body acting as a forge to synthesize the archetypal currents of reality into a cohesive identity. This framework has helped me reach deeper states. When I was practicing nondualism, I found no real value in it insofar as it didn't help me conceptualize the different realms.

My point in saying this is to illustrate that not everyone is going to be comfortable with a particular framework. Assuming that you're right about the entirety of the framework you're using veers into dogmatic fundamentalism, and doesn't really help in teaching people how to project outward.

I realize that posting this is going to trigger certain groups of people, because that's how human ego works. Your identity is tied to your worldview, and there's nothing really we can do about this. But I implore you to understand what I'm saying without thinking I'm attacking you as a person. I'm telling you to treat all metaphysical frameworks as provisional, including my own.

Was This AP? Is it possible to have and OBE and run into someone that's just dreaming??

I was lucid dreaming and In my dream I was with my girlfriend. once I realized I was dreaming I tried to make my girlfriend aware that this was just a dream, like telling her this is just a dream, I was flying around trying to convince her but she was unfazed and all "dreamy" I dont know how to explain it but it felt so real to me more real than any other dream iv ever had. And now I'm wondering is it possible I was astral projecting and she was dreaming and I was trying to make her aware so she would start lucid dreaming?

Successful AP Snapped back so hard I bounced in bed

Upvotes

I AP most nights while sleeping. A few nights ago I was out galavanting around the universe and all of a sudden I snapped back so hard that my body bounced as I fell back into it. I quickly opened my eyes to see what caused me to snap back with such intensity. Apparently my phone installed an update and when it rebooted it made a noise which brought my brain online thus snapping me back. Curious if anyone else has had an intense return to their body like this?

Need Tips / Advice / Insights OBE randomly while being in my room with people

This actually happened quite a few years ago, but as I’ve gotten back into AP, I was curious about this incident and would love to hear others thoughts or similar experiences.

At that time I had never experienced any OBEs, and the experience I have now is still very limited, but I was in my room when someone entered and they started talking with someone else in the room when I suddenly had an OBE and was able to see myself from above. This only lasted less than a second but enough for me to be shocked by what happened.

It’s weird because again I wasn’t any kind of expert at AP nor was I intentionally going for it, I’d simply been on my computer when it had happened.

Has anyone else experienced this or any explanations as to what might’ve happened?

Successful AP Loosh “Tastes Good”

One reliable way I have learned to astral project (AP), is when I see a body of water in a dream, I’ve taught myself to consider whether I’m actually dreaming or awake and so the dream becomes lucid. Next, I set my intention for the AP and then jumped into the water and come out the other side at my destination. It did not go as planned.

Instead, I found myself back in my bedroom, standing about 2 metres away from my sleeping body lying in bed. At the foot of the bed there was a being of some sort. It wasn’t a grey, though. Instead, it was about 6’ tall with a more solid build and the head was maybe slightly larger than human, but not by much. Aside from the physical description, its movement was somewhat slow compared to humans. It didn’t seem malevolent, and if you can imagine a cow grazing on grass, that’s about the energy level it was putting out. I am not familiar with this type, so I will have to look at some illustrations later, but if anyone reading this has an intuition, please let me know!

I’d had a previous grey encounter (https://www.reddit.com/r/Experiencers/s/n0wEUraywT) where I wanted to stick to my AP mission objective, so just shot fireballs at it and that scared it away, but I told myself if I have another encounter like this, I would try to communicate first.

The mysterious being was holding a grapefruit-sized white ball of energy that it had just pulled out of my body and then it basically “ate” it. So I asked it, “Why do you eat our loosh?”. It didn’t seem too concerned about my astral presence and it turned its head to me and just said, “Tastes good”.

I think at that point it was done feeding and it probably left, but from my perspective, I snapped back into my body and woke up. I wasn’t really frightened and didn’t sense it anymore, so I went back to sleep.

Other Opinions about my dream

Hi guys,

So I dont know if I managed to astral project or not, but it goes like this:

the dream was about me having an argument with my boyfriend, that turned violent, I felt so much anger and hate twords him and during our confrontation his face slowly changed into somehow an ugly deamon, and he was really close to me, near my face and ear and I felt I am trapped, I yelled “fear” multiple times and he asked angry as if I would already know him from other life “do you know who am I ?!” and then somehow got the feeling that I would know him and was so scared and immediately then I heard multiple whispers of the word “Ezra, Ezra, “ until I woke up

Did this happen to you or you know what it might mean? Is this astral projection? Did I really encounter a demon? I need to mention that the name Ezra is quite unfamiliar for me

Any ideas would be helpful for me, as I cant stop thinking about it. Thankssss

General Question Hit a wall

I posted around two months ago that I finally did it, after many years, finally astral projected. I then managed to have another out of body experience, and a lucid dream. All seemed well and I thought my many years of struggle would compound to everything becoming fairly smooth and I’d just be able to do it pretty easily.

Now, nothing has happened in well over a month despite all my best attempts. At first I didn’t mind too much I figured I was just learning what not to do. For example, sex preceding sleep before an attempt causes lack of successful attempt. Being too tired too. But then there are repeated failures even on nights where I seemingly do everything right. I’ve tried night after night, I’ve also tried a three week break. Nothing is working. I’m barely even getting phantom limb movements any more.

Does anyone have any advice?

I’m worried because there is one variable that I don’t want there to be. When I had my success, I had drastically increased my caffeine intake, down from two large coffees a day to two small coffees a day. But then I realized I needed like two extra hours of sleep a night and I hated that so I went back up to two large coffees a day. Does that affect anything? I figured Robert Monroe talks about smoking cigarettes quite a bit so just having a single bad habit shouldn’t cause so much issue should it?

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Also curious whether repeat practice is better or spaces in between? What’s the ideal quantity of practice? Daily, every other day, weekly?

Was This AP? Tried astral projection, gave up and went to sleep — then this happened minutes later

This happened while I was completely sober. I had been meditating and trying to astral project for quite a while with no success.

Eventually I gave up, went to the kitchen, drank some water, came back to bed and decided to sleep.

Maybe 5–10 minutes after lying down trying to sleep, I suddenly felt extremely strong “heartbeats,” almost like an adrenaline rush, together with intense vibrations throughout my body. I’m not even sure my heart was actually beating that hard—it may have just been the sensation of it.

I immediately felt like this was the moment.

I remembered the rope technique. I didn’t see a rope; I just imagined myself grabbing one and climbing it. I concentrated really hard and kept mentally climbing, hoping the sensation wouldn’t disappear.

Then there was a moment where I just knew: it worked.

The first thing I encountered was an extremely tall being that looked almost like a mummy.

The strange part was the feeling that it was already there waiting specifically for me, almost like it was welcoming me.

It didn’t say anything, but somehow I understood that it wanted me to follow it. It went ahead and I followed behind.

We started going downward through something that looked like a cave, tomb or graveyard.

I was extremely conscious throughout this. I remembered being in bed. I remembered that I had just been attempting AP. I was thinking normally and was actually really excited that I’d finally managed to do it.

But while following this being, I started getting scared.

Because of the environment, I thought: What if it’s leading me toward death?

So I decided to get away from it.

There was something like a roof above me. I remember thinking, “I’m not physical here, so this shouldn’t stop me.”

I went upward and passed straight through the roof.

I got as far away from the being as I could and eventually found myself high above the clouds.

I could see lights very far below me, so I decided to travel toward them. It actually felt like it took some time to get there.

When I arrived, I saw something that looked like a Ferris wheel covered in lights.

Then I noticed something much stranger.

There were lots of figures that looked like people, but they were completely motionless. They seemed unconscious—just standing there in fixed positions, not moving or reacting.

My immediate thought at the time was: Are these sleeping people?

I tried speaking to them.

“Hello.”

Nothing.

I also tried speaking to them in different languages—Arabic: “Marhaba,” and French: “Salut.”

Still nothing. Nobody moved or responded.

Seeing so many of them like that made me start thinking that something might be wrong. What’s strange is that I didn’t actually feel fear in the normal sense. I had no sense of a physical body at all—I was more like a floating point of awareness, almost like a camera moving through and observing everything.

So when I say I became scared, it wasn’t the physical or emotional sensation of fear you normally get in your body. It was more of a logical fear: I was completely conscious, analyzing what I was seeing, and started thinking, “What if I become like them? What if I get trapped here and can’t return?”

It was the conclusion that worried me, rather than an actual physical feeling of panic.

So I decided I wanted to go back.

I thought about my physical body in bed, expecting that would bring me back.

Nothing happened.

That’s when the thought became much more serious. I remember thinking: What if I’m actually dead?

Eventually I decided to scream.

As soon as I did, I suddenly felt myself being pulled or launched backward incredibly fast. It felt like I was being pushed through multiple walls, layers, or dimensions one after another.

And then I woke up in bed.

Completely fine.

The weird thing is that after waking up, I wasn’t scared at all. I was actually incredibly happy and excited because I couldn’t believe I’d finally had an experience like that.

What really stays with me is how conscious I felt the whole time. I remembered my body was in bed and that I had just attempted AP. I could analyze what was happening, make decisions, choose to stop following the being, try different languages with the people, decide where to travel, and eventually deliberately try to return.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

I’m especially curious about:

* A being that seemed to be waiting for you as soon as you entered

* Being led somewhere like a graveyard by an entity without any verbal communication

* Seeing large numbers of motionless/unresponsive people

* The sensation of being pulled through multiple “layers” right before waking up

I’d really like to hear from anyone who’s experienced any of these things, and what you think was happening.

General AP Info / Discussion Painful vibrations (mostly in the ears), anyone?

I know that the vibrational state can be intense to the point of terrifying a person. Has anyone experienced them so intense they caused pain though? Specifically in the ears.

For context this is my today's experience:

Around 7 am, after a quick shower, I lay down with a 16 min yoga nidra playing on youtube, followed by some singing bowls video afterwards (and a disturbing, very long ad in between of course, I'm shocked it didn't ruin everything, the guy talking there was ridiculously stupid, anyway...).

At some point I fell asleep for just a few seconds I think, maybe minutes and woke up with my body almost paralyzed (not really tho, just "stuck" in the position it was, deeply relaxed) and I started doing the head lift method (seems to be effective for me) and almost immediately the vibrations started.

And man were they violent!

Literally felt physically, continuously electrocuted all over my body. But as the vibration intensified, my ears suffered a very physical, tangible pain (on top of already feeling as if an angry hornet entered them).

After that, I flew around a bit, not fully conscious or in control and came back. Then almost immediately same vibrations and another OBE and came back. It was about to happen for the 3rd time but I decided I've had enough of hornets in my ears for today and got up from bed.

Need Tips / Advice / Insights Is doing this worth it?

I tried for the first time a couple days ago and I got to the severe tingling and buzzing stage, and my hands literally felt numb and non existent, but I did actually project. I remember feeling so peaceful before I got a phone call and woke up.

But reading about people's experiences, it seems like everyone just gets really scared. Do any of you have a nice experience? I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it to just be confronted by fearsome things.

Also, is it possible to die from astral protection? I'm so scared of dying while doing it.

Any advice would be soo appreciated

Successful AP Something that helped me + question about vision during your AP

I’ve been super interested in astral projection for years and I would go through phases of trying to induce an experience… I used to get to the point of vibrations a lot but something about it became to loud and almost scary that I couldn’t quite get past it… I kinda stopped trying as actively and have been more focused on my dream world but… In the last year I’ve had 3 out of body experiences!!

The first two experiences really confused me and I didn’t really know what happened because they were short and I was disoriented…

All 3 times it happened after I meditated, then went to bed afterwards… anyways I had the strongest experience a few days ago and I thought I would share this because it was truly so cool and so rewarding as I really didn’t need to “try” it just happened after I meditated and then went to bed… this was also the first time I was able to leave my body and acknowledge that I was out of my body and start travelling… This time in particular I did a slow psychedelic breath work session about 30 minutes before I went to bed!!

(Oh and I have mugwort in my tea before bed)

+ I’m also curious what is your guys vision like when you’ve successfully left your body because this most recent time I was able to see things but they were warped in a way and I had to focus super hard… then when I decided I wanted to go to space, things just pretty much went black but I was still perceiving things in a way…

General Question Jump Flying in Dreams

I want to prefice I have yet to astral project , i have attempted to project multiple times I believe I have reached the “Body awake mind asleep” stage a fair amount and even experienced the strong sense of energy but nothing past . But the reason I believe in Astral Projection and the entire astral plane is because of a shared experience me and my partner have had that we never discussed once until a few months ago , flying in dreams .

Both of us have remembered flying in dreams and using the same flight mechanics, not like we were Superman flying through the clouds but rather a Jump flying method .

Now the best way I can make sense of this method is essentially jumping while using your arms to project your body forward and then double jumping essentially, and then continuing this process until you’ve become higher up .

Now this method I believe is more floating rather than flying the furthest I have ever got is about the height of a top shelf in a store like Lowe’s or Home Depot . Has anyone else experienced this , and could this be used to assist a method of astral projection?

Was This AP? What was this

Lately I have been very interested in astral travel again and taking it more seriously with meditation and more research. Last night, I was veeery exhausted and laid down in my bed listening to a YouTube video podcast ab AP (I always like to listen to something as I go to bed and this has been it lately). My room was hot and I kept tossing and turning, never falling asleep. I multiple times had felt myself falling into sleep paralysis (I’ve experienced SP many times). Never sleeping (or so I thought?) it felt like hours had passed and suddenly I started to hear ppl in my family downstairs n had the radio on and I thought I’d been awake wayyy too long assuming they were going to work and was debating asking if they could turn the radio down. I peaked outside and the clouds were turning pink and I thought it was like 5 am n felt worried that I’d been awake so long. Suddenly I sit up a little and my dogs in my bed with me (mind u he sleeps in someone else’s room always and I keep my door closed). I was confused but assumed he must’ve slept with me and I didn’t remember. He then proceeded to turn into another larger being and his dog features went away and started pressing down on my chest SO HARD,, I used all the strength I could to fight it off me and remembered that I can project positive light at it to protect myself. I flew out of my bed and kept fighting it, it became a human that looked like another family member and was contorting weirdly. It felt so physical and real and I felt so weak but I used all the strength I could muster to push it away from me. Then I flew up to my ceiling and thought oh shit ok. These two little grey block people? Or something started to float at me and I was using all my might to project gold light onto them and was saying out loud that I was positive light and protecting myself. I saw beings form behind them holding them up. It took so much strength and I was a bit frightened that I somehow forced myself awake in my body. I checked my phone and less than an hour had passed and I was so confused (again I never felt like I fell asleep). It was also odd bc I always have very vivid dreams and I am never in a familiar place (at least in my waking life) but during this experience I was in my exact room - everything looked and was the same as when I’m awake. The video was also still playing. I kept myself awake for a minute and proceeded to dream normally.

I’ve been thinking about it all day since it felt so crazy and wondering wtf happened. Any thoughts?

Other I keep seeing a place that feels like home, even though I don’t know if I’ve ever been there

I’ve been trying to put an experience into words, and recently I finally tried recreating the place visually.
I don’t really know what to call these experiences other than visions. I’m deliberately not claiming that this is another dimension, a past life, an actual location, or anything supernatural. I genuinely don’t know what it is. That’s partly why I’m posting.
There is a particular place that keeps existing in my imagination with an unusual amount of emotional weight.
It’s a forest glade at night, surrounded by nature. Everything is unbelievably vibrant, almost as though someone turned the saturation of reality all the way up. The vegetation is a deeper, richer green than anything I’m used to seeing.
There’s a waterfall flowing into incredibly clear blue-green water. You can see beneath the surface, including creatures that resemble fish but don’t quite look like anything familiar to me. The meadow is covered in flowers and little lights resembling fireflies.
The sky is one of the things I remember most strongly. The moon appears enormous and much closer than ours seems from Earth. There are other celestial bodies visible too, including something resembling a huge purple gas giant hanging in the distance.
And there’s a woman.
She appears somewhere around her late twenties to mid-thirties. She has blondish-red hair, freckles, amber-colored eyes and a green leaf-shaped ornament in her hair. She wears a flowing white gown.
There’s something strangely maternal about her presence. Not necessarily that I think she’s my mother or anything that specific. It’s more the feeling she gives me: warmth, familiarity, safety and recognition.
That’s the part of this that I have the hardest time explaining.
When I picture this place, I don’t experience it like I’m inventing somewhere I’d *like* to visit.
**I miss it.**
There’s an almost homesick quality to it.
Thinking about it can give me this incredibly steady, peaceful feeling in my chest. Serene, calm, happy, almost like being completely in love with somewhere. And sometimes there’s this bizarre sense that I’ve already been there and desperately want to find my way back.
But I don’t actually know that I have.
Maybe it’s imagination. Maybe it’s something symbolic my mind has constructed. Maybe it’s connected to spirituality or consciousness somehow. Maybe there’s another explanation I haven’t considered.
I’m trying not to force an interpretation onto it.
What interests me more is whether anyone else has experienced something similar:
**Have you ever seen or imagined a place you’ve never knowingly visited, but instead of feeling fictional, it gave you the overwhelming feeling of remembering home?**
And if so, did the place remain consistent over time?
I’m attaching the recreation I made of what I’ve been seeing. It isn’t perfect, but it’s probably the closest I’ve gotten to showing another person what’s been in my head.

OBE Confirmation Astral Projection or simply sleep paralysis?

So it happened, wayback 2019. It felt like I woke up, I can see my surroundings, the night light, my partner on myside. I'm pretty sure I screamed during that time, and at the same time, after screaming - I realized I may have disrupted my partner's sleep, but to my surprise. He was still sleeping soundly, no responses from him whatsoever. I began to panic because it was beyond my understanding of whether I was actually awake or was I actually screaming and everything - but then my partner had moved his legs likewise moving mine, and only then was I like brought back to consciousness. I woke up gasping for air and extremely tired, not even able to sit down. I tried my best to move and talk to him in an exhausted voice if he ever heard me scream, but he never really did. I was also 19 back then too, was too young to further investigate what happened. Years passed, we graduated and moved to a new city elsewhere to work.

Followed by a same event, recently at 2025. I was left alone in bed, because he was using the bathroom. I was half conscious I guess - when he stood up and left. But then chills entered from my head down to my spine, it really felt like I opened my eyes, I saw the dark room, the cabinet half open, the lights from the windows. But I can't seem to move or breathe properly. Then again, I panicked and tried everything in my power to at least move my legs to get my consciousness back. It was effective because I was able to move again, but same sensation of gasping for air and exhaustion to the extent that it may have possibly brought me back to that feeling if I didn't push myself to stay awake.

I still remember those moments to this day, as clear as day. I'm wondering if it was astral projection or sleep paralysis? I didn't see any horrific figure before. Could I possibly enter that state again in the future? Are there any experts that could possibly explain this to me?

Need Tips / Advice / Insights How to do more things in the astral plane while still remaining in control?

Basically what happens every time i do it is i stand next to my bed sometimes unable to leave my room even. So i end up walking around touching the walls and looking thorugh books until i get bored and willingly lie back down in my body.

And the times i do have the strength to leave the room its by pressing both my hands on a wall or the door until it dissolves and i can go through it. Thats the closest thing to cool stuff i do. But even still when i do that, i just end up walking around checking on what everyone is doing like a nosy aunt. Then i get bored or lose consciousness. And its all limited to walking distance too cause i cant do shit like fly. 🥀

This one time i was so annoyed i just did jumping jacks out of spite waiting to lose consciousness but i didn’t so eventually i pathetically just lay back dow in my body disappointed. 😂

One time it worked exactly like i expected, flying and everything, it was my first time. My second time i managed to appear infront of a mirror before losing consciousness. And most recently I managed to float a little bit before crashing to the ground.

Nowadays its basically super real and all i do is walk around bored with the exact capabilities i have irl.

If and very rarely if I gain capabilities like flying I immediately lose consciousness and return to my body.

Anyone please help 😢.

General Question Pain in left side during vibrational stage?

You know when you run/jog and one side of your rib/lower stomach has a sharp pain?

Starting this year only, I feel it almost every time I’m able to reach the vibrational stage and begin separating. That pain comes up and gets stronger the more I separate. I was able to push past it last night,

Once I was out, everything was fine, I started floating upward uncontrollably & saw a beautiful orange/indigo field/sunset with black grass. When I returned to my body + the vibrational-state, the pain came back, this time I was more awake noticed it more, and it turned into a dream

Maybe a chakra issue or something?? When I woke up, I felt my side and it was gone, so it was only in my astral body, really strange…

I used the search bar to see if anyone had a similar experience but there was very little information so I’m wondering if anyone else can shed some light, relate, or have any tips

Fear About AP Anyone with ADHD/OCD ever suddenly start questioning their astral projection practice and their sanity after years of doing it?

I’ve practiced astral projection for years. I started around 15 and built a whole dream world that I would visit during meditation/AP. I kept journals of my experiences, had guides/characters, explored different environments, and sometimes took spiritual wisdom from what happened there.

For years, I never questioned my sanity because of it. I knew the difference between my dream/AP world and normal waking reality. It was something I enjoyed, found meaningful, and used for meditation and self-reflection.
Recently my life has been extremely stressful. I’m dealing with burnout, anxiety, ADHD, some trauma, and possibly OCD-like symptoms/intrusive thoughts.
Now my brain has suddenly latched onto my history with astral projection and started asking:

“Was I crazy?”
“Why did I believe I had spiritual/psychic abilities?”
“What does this say about who I am?”

It’s strange because these questions basically never bothered me before. Now I find myself looking through my old AP journals and comparing my experiences with other people online, almost trying to reassure myself that I’m okay.

Has anyone here with ADHD, OCD, anxiety, or intrusive thoughts experienced something similar, where stress suddenly made you question a spiritual practice or AP experiences that you had been completely comfortable with for years?

Positive AP Experience projection 5:55

so i projected last night and i woke up and the clock read 5:55. honestly i traveled above my body and looked inward trying to find some knowledge or something viable. idk i've projected a lot in my life it just came easier last night.

i had a metronome set and let it play while i slept and i counted down from 60 then back up to 60 and down again and i pushed myself out of my body in the "inbetween state" of sleep and wakefulness,

i looked inward and it just kind of blew me away how beautiful life is and the simplicity of everything if a person allows it to be simple.

i woke and the clock read exactly 5:55 am and it just confirmed to me that i was in the right place.

maybe all the meditation and breathwork and yoga is paying off. as i've recently had a sort of new awareness come over me.

weird thing was that the room i was in looked like a computer grid but my astral body when looking inward was full of what seemed like experiences and thoughts and emotions and how creating my intentions is felt and not just something intangible.

i've even come to do yoga and a sort of meditation in my lucid dreams. i'll realize im dreaming and immediatly go into meditating and doing yoga.

New to AP My First Post: When I Woke Up From an Astral Travel Nightmare

I don't really know how to start this. Nobody reading this even knows who I am yet. But I am writing this right now because something completely terrifying just happened to me last night, and I honestly just need to get it out of my head and onto a page.First, a little context: I don't actively practice astral traveling. It isn't something I try to do—it just happened to me out of nowhere. However, I am heavily into paranormal things and deep research. Because of that knowledge, I knew exactly what I was going through the moment it started.Last night, I had an experience that completely shook me to my core.In the astral world, I suddenly realized I was on the road heading toward my old gym. It’s a place I actually left about a year ago in real life, and I’ve been missing it so much lately. So at first, when I realized where I was going, I felt genuinely happy. I was so excited to step inside. But then the environment shifted. The entire roadway leading from my house to the gym was completely empty. It was pitch black, and the air felt incredibly heavy—like a massive, violent stroke of wind was about to slam into everything at any second. There wasn't a single soul around. Because of my paranormal research, the realization hit me immediately: I had accidentally entered a bad astral world. But because I wanted to see the gym so badly, my desire pushed me forward anyway. I went inside. For a brief second, I felt that wave of happiness just being there. But then I looked at the people inside. I looked closer, and a chill went down my spine.I realized these were not the people I used to know. They looked like them, but the energy was completely wrong. My research kicked in, and I knew what I was looking at: they were shape-shifters.Panic completely took over. I turned around and sprinted out of there, running as fast as my astral body could move back toward my homeway. But the entities in that realm wouldn't let me leave that easily. Right in the middle of the road, before I could even reach the safety of my home in that astral world, the weather turned violent. I got completely trapped inside a massive, howling windy cyclone. I was stuck in the middle of a vortex, surrounded by these entities, with the wind roaring around me.And then, right as the cyclone was about to consume me... I suddenly woke up.I was just wide awake in my bed, heart racing, gasping for air and than I was back to my body on my bed woke up and back to the orginal world So yeah... that’s my very first post. I know you guys don't know me yet, but since I'm so into the paranormal, I really want to connect with others who get it. Has anyone else had astral travel just happen to them without trying? Have you ever run into shape-shifters or gotten trapped in a vortex like that? Please leave a comment below—I’d love to hear your thoughts.
