Has been building up for years on most of my fixtures. I tried vinegar a year ago, but it didn’t do much. All tips appreciated.

I've tried steam cleaning, krud cutter stove top cleaner w a sponge on chat gpts rec. I'm worried I somehow messed it up permanently. Please help

Every time I make sauce for pizza or pasta and store it on a plastic container, it gets stained with red and i can't get rid of it. I rub ir a lot with the sponge and strong dish soap but it just won't come off. I already "ruined" multiple containers and I don't want to buy glass ones because they are much more expensive.

Can anyone give any guidance as far as killing the mold on her bathroom walls and ceiling?

I’m afraid the mold is affecting her health and want to get this taken care of ASAP.

Hi! I lifted this rug in my kitchen that has been there for over 3 years to find a drastic color difference. My thought is it might be from the sun? But also it still looks kinda faded in the middle of where the rug was? I would love to get rid of the rug, but it looks so bad without it now. Is there anything i can do to make it more even? Should i just ditch the rug anyways? Please any advice would be helpful!!

edit: i think the floor is vinyl? i’m not sure i fully know the difference between vinyl and linoleum, but i think it’s vinyl. the rug does not seem to be rubber lined.

I am very disorganized and trying to change that by creating more structure in my cleaning routine. I deep cleaned a bit yesterday but I know that if I was more on top of routine cleaning, things wouldn’t get as bad as they do and it wouldn’t be so overwhelming for me. I do better with lists so I can physically check boxes and track my progress but I don’t even know what to write on a list for tasks I should be doing weekly.

I was at a friend’s house a few months ago and she and her roommates had specific weekly tasks written down on the fridge and they rotated who did what by week. So like one week someone would do the bathroom, someone would do the living area, and someone would do the kitchen and then it would switch the next week. Does anyone have checklists they’re ok sharing with me, specifically for cleaning their bathroom and bedroom? I don’t even know where to start and it’s pretty overwhelming :( thank you <3

A few days ago, my housemate was carrying a bunch of stuff and dropped a bottle of cologne on the unsealed concrete garage floor. It cracked and spilled. It was pretty late at night, so I did the best I could by scrubbing it with dawn dish soap. I then covered it in baking soda and left it overnight with an industrial fan running and the garage doors cracked.

The smell isn’t as overwhelming as before, but it’s still very strong. The garage also functions as a home gym, so I want to get the smell out more so it’s tolerable to be in there.

I ended up going to Home Depot today and buying a concrete-safe degreaser (Simple Green) and used it as instructed. I used a shop vac to dry up the soap as much as I could. I then did just a water rinse and it’s currently drying with the fan again. My roommates are saying it still smells the same. 😞 I have no clue what to do at this point.

Any advice? I know with time it will fade, but it’s still strong enough to the point that I’m wondering if there’s ANYTHING I can do to cut the odor in half or more. Thanks in advance.

my roommates and i moved into a furnished apartment and this couch has a stain on it. is there any quick way to get it off? if we can’t, then we were going to get a couch cover. also, any idea on what kind of stain this is?

I have a KitchenAid stove with a Schott Ceran cooktop that was present in my home when I purchased it in 2018. I actually dislike this stove for a variety of reasons, but it does work so I can't really justify replacing it right now.

I have been really disappointed in the scratch resistance of the Schott Ceran. I take all of the recommended precautions including lifting pans when I move them, not using cast iron, keeping the bottoms of my pants clean, and only using Weiman cooktop cleaner with a microfiber.

There is no food residue on the cooktop in this picture. There are hairline scratches all over the cooktop and there are also some places where there are scratches that are deeper than hairline despite all of the caution I have taken.

Most recently it looks as though there must have been something abrasive in the microfiber I was using to clean, or possibly on a dish towel I used because I have even more scratches that I noticed today.

Googling yields a lot of conflicting results, is there anything people can recommend that will reduce the appearance of the scratches?

I got this pot at a yard sale for a dollar without realizing the state of it. Is there any way I can get this in any better shape or is it just a loss

Hi all, I am 21F and this is my first time having a hard wood floor and I have no idea how to take care of it. I’ve been using a broom but I feel like it’s never clean enough or there’s still dirt like I can’t get every speck. I have also have two cats that shed so much and the broom isn’t picking up the hair. I mopped the floor when we first moved in but we are still getting dirt on our feet to the point of where it is black. I am lost at this point and don’t know how to clean this floor, I miss my carpet lol. Please help me 😭

EDIT: I have a Dyson ball vacuum and when I vacuumed last time it scratched my floors.

EDIT: some of you are saying it’s vinyl. My apartment says it’s hardwood, idk how true that is. JUST HELP ME CLEAN THE FLOOR 😭

Has anyone got any sodium percarbonate tips? What actually is it? Is it bleach?? Will it make the yellow more yellow?!

How can I get this removed without damaging my cultured marble sink top? I’ve tried vinegar and baking soda, bleach and hydrogen peroxide. The hydrogen peroxide got a little off but it’s still really on there. Like a hard, crusty ridge of yuck. I do not have hard water.

Hello! I recently moved into a 1950s house, and the children (who are now in their late 60s) left stickers on their bedroom doors. They are not paper stickers so there’s no “top layer” to be peeled off. They’re clear plastic and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove. I really don’t want to damage the doors as they are in decent shape otherwise and I’m on a budget! I’ve tried scraping with a plastic tool, scrubbing, goo gone, etc. Please send any potential tips or tricks I will try anything!!

So in the shower, the grout lines on the ground and the wall are an orangey colour. As you go up the walls, the grout lines are less orange and are their normal colour. Same with the tiles on the wall; as you go up, the tiles look less orangey-tinted (they still look normal where the water hits but when you compare to the top they look orange-tinted).

I was thinking of using CLR but idk what kind of stones the wall tiles are made of. The stones look dark when they’re wet if that helps with their identification.

There is also a little bit of mold growth on one area of the grout lines on the ground. Idk how to get rid of that too.

Hi guys, any ideas how this carpet can be cleaned ? Those stains are very old (of unknown origin) and we have to take a decision either to change it or it can be revived.
