So I was driving down Broadway this morning and was behind a guy driving a sweet vintage red convertible Corvette, maybe 1960s.-era. He had a vanity plate on the back which I won't repeat although I doubt the dude would mind. He had a giant stuffed teddy bear in the passenger's side with a UL kerchief around its neck. Has anyone living in the Portland neighborhood of Louisville been asked to vacate their rental (with the minimum legal notice) within the past 2 or 3 months because the owners are supposedly selling their portfolio? Owners are NPH LLC (who I have had no quarrel with) and the property management company is Montclair & Ashford, which was formerly Equus Realty and before that, PPM/Prestige Property Management (with whom I have had a lot of problems with, over the years)?

A friend who lives in the house around the corner from me (same owner/management company) was not, but the management company claims the owners are selling "the entire portfolio."

Of course, they could have more than one portfolio but this seems odd to me and suddenly, the owners aren't returning my emails.

I know this isn’t Facebook, but this is pretty much my Hail Mary. I'm currently in medical school and our graduation requirements include completing clinical rotations, which is basically where you work with a physician (M.D. or D.O only) anywhere between 2-4 weeks at a time. What do I need to do with the physician? That's up to them. I can see as many or as few patients as they like; read up on topics and present on them; stay full or partial days--it just depends on what they want.

That is pretty easy to arrange if you have someone in your family who is in the medical field or have a family friend who is one. Unfortunately, I’m a first-generation student, so I don't have the same type of connections as other people do. My school has coordinators that are, in theory, supposed to help out with this kind of stuff, but they aren't much help. They just direct you to websites with outdated information. I'm already aware of VSLO and Clinician Nexus. Not much help there either.

That said, I have to resort to finding opportunities myself. If you are aware of any physicians who might be willing to have a student for 2-4 weeks and get paid by the school afterwards as compensation, I would love to know. Big universities are usually affiliated with certain hospitals and give priority to their own students, so unless you have a close connection with a physician there, it won't do me much good to try and talk to the folks at UofL.

A little bit about me if that makes any difference:

• Mid 20s, originally from TN
• First generation student
• Bilingual and native Spanish speaker
• Hobbies: I like to read, play guitar, chess, video games, watch anime, and work out
• Medical interests: neurology and psychiatry

Moreover, despite my interests, I am fine with any speciality since the gaps I need to fill won’t have much of an impact on my residency applications. My most immediate need is finding a physician to work with between 10/19 - 11/13 and I can go from there.

Hey I’m really fucking going through it and don’t know what to do. I think I need to check myself into the mental hospital again but the last time was an absolute nightmare. As a teenager the Brook KMI was okay, and Norton Children’s was phenomenal, but as an adult a few months ago I went to Wellstone and it was the worst experience ever and genuinely made me worse. I’ve been trying to get through it but I just can’t. I really need help but don’t know where to go. I can’t go back to a ward like Wellstone again, it made me more suicidal and I feel like a lost cause and like there is no point in living or existing anymore because all I am is a burden and there’s nobody in the system or in my life that cares about me enough to really help me. I feel like if a miracle doesn’t happen soon it’s over. I went to a therapy session at the Bridge a week ago and the therapist was so totally overwhelmed by me and didn’t understand anything or care about me at all I was just another fucking patient. I’m so done with everything. Is there anywhere I can go to get help? I’m about to give up

As the title suggests, looking for a AC technician that can swap out a AC fan motor. Years ago replaced the motor with a Evergreen IM ECM,1/2HP,115-230 but its failing to start (I can hear it trying to startup/struggling). The Evergreen does not have an external capacitor like the original units motor did so it's likely the Evergreen has failed.

Have the original AC motor that came with the AC unit so hoping it's as easy as swapping back in the original motor - maybe a 1-2 hour job.

Dark pontiac suv hit my red toyota camry otw to pick up my daughter from kindergarten. The cop told my so I ran the stop sign. Ive never run a stop sign. My whole body hurts, I feel like the suv was going so fast and didn't brake AT ALL like she didnt see me. I dont know if she blew the stop sign or not and how she was going so fast at the stop sign going uphill. I sat at the 4 way stop while everyone else went and then took my turn.

We've been sharing a car and just received the camry as a gift from my so's dad so I could start this job i got through a temp agency. I have been through hell the past couple years and I was just starting to go from reactive mode to proactive mode. I was just starting to climb out of this hole that started in 2023 when i got sick and couldn't work. Lost everything and bought an rv (lived in an rv previously when working for fed gov and traveling) to ride out the illness as a single mom until lo started school. Rv promptly (7 months later) burned up in an electrical fire when I was already hanging on by a thread.

hello! so, i’m somewhat new to louisville. i moved here with my family when i was 17 (in 2021) and so i’m really only familiar with my small area of town where i live and work. i’m looking for a good dentist, but specifically i need to have some repairs done to my teeth. my main issue is a cavity i have on one of my teeth close to the front that i really would like to have a cap put over or, at least, have it filled. i know dental work is not going to be cheap especially since i do want to have a good quality replacement tooth. my question is, does anyone know of any dentists around the city that are good and possibly work with low income people? like a payment plan sort of thing. at the moment, i am employed and putting money back for the dentist is not an issue (i don’t have dental insurance). i just wanted to know if anyone could recommend a dentist as im

Ive been using for quite some time to manage my disability symptoms so I am trying to figure out if I need to start detoxing and finding other meds for my symptoms. I have a medical card but I dont know if that matters!

I want to go to a haunted house. I do not want to spend $20 to stand in line next to a bunch of buttholes messing around in poor lighting with power tools. Not trying to yuck anyone’s yum, but like, does this exist?

My anxiety is at absolute high and to the point where it's taking a huge toll on my life. Are there any reputable groups to help address this, by chance? Sitting and talking to a therapist isn't what I'm looking for but more of true, tangible techniques and maybe some supportive friends when I'm really going through it. My anxiety is related to truly difficult things, many current, that I'm going through and particularly grief and loss.
